This hotel is located on the Nile River and close to Tahrir Square, walking distance to the Egyptian Museum. It is also next to the Cairo Tower. Good staff and clean hotel.
It's a homestay. Don't use the hotel standard as a guide.
If needed, three meals can be provided. The chefs and receptionists are all Chinese. It's very convenient for people in China to go there, and the Chinese food they cook is very suitable for Chinese tastes.
The most important point:
The address on Ctrip is wrong. You must ask the owner for the correct address in advance before you go.

The hotel facilities are very modern, getting rid of the style of Egyptian B&B. The area is large, clean and bright, the water is good, and the wifi is average. When I took a taxi to the hotel, I was worried that the driver would not be able to find the building. I showed the driver the photos and the driver parked downstairs accurately. Moreover, the hotel staff took the initiative to find us and took us to the sixth floor to check in. It was amazing. It is very convenient to take a taxi to Saladin Castle. Generally, the taxi will stop on the main road turning right after leaving the hotel. If you can't find the car and don't understand Arabic, you can give the phone to the staff on the first floor for help, and the staff will direct you to find the driver. It is very convenient to eat downstairs, there are KFC, Pizza Hut, and some local restaurants.
I have changed three B&Bs when I came to Egypt, but I have a special liking for this one! I can eat and stay here! The boss is very nice and kind! The chef's skills are first-class, and even if I want to eat some of their own flavors, the chef can still handle it! The room is very good in all aspects, clean and tidy! The environment is also very good! Overall score 10 points!
Good quality and low price, the boss is very friendly, the room is clean and tidy but not expensive, there is also a Chinese restaurant a few kilometers away from the hotel, and the taxi is only 30 or 40 Egyptian pounds. The hotel also has a pool table and a table tennis table
The room was large, clean and quiet. The hotel has a beautiful garden with hardworking gardeners taking care of the flowers and plants. The front desk lady who checked me in was very enthusiastic and gave me a free upgrade to a basic suite and sent me some fruit. Thank you very much. I will choose this hotel again next time I go to Egypt.
huge hotel on the river Nile. super quiet room and any noise if at all it was there, was blocked with excellent double glazed windows.the staff particularly restaurant staff was very helpful and courteous. the breakfast had wide collection but not as tasty as other hotels and lacked in Egyptian varieties. we were initially given a double room even though we had booked a twin on the 12th floor but on the last day of our 3 nights stay we were upgraded to the 34th floor with Zamalek view by the relationship manager, who was a smiling and friendly person eager to help.we highly recommend this hotel and we enjoyed our 3 night stay here. however the 26% tax on the room rates and food imposed by the government is too high.
Certainly! Here's the updated review:

Staying at the Marriott in Cairo was an exceptional experience. The location is unbeatable, situated right next to the Nile River, offering stunning views and a serene atmosphere. The swimming pool is great, providing a perfect spot to relax and unwind. The gym is fantastic, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater to all fitness needs.
The customer service is top-notch, with the reception staff being particularly super helpful, ensuring that all our needs were met promptly and efficiently. Our two kids really enjoyed the stay as well, which made our visit even more memorable. Simply the best in Cairo—highly recommend and we will definitely visit again!

The hotel is in a good location, by the beautiful Nile River, about 2 kilometers from the city center. The room is clean, there is no toothbrush, disposable slippers, and the plug needs to be converted to European standards. Most hotels in Cairo are relatively old, so don't be too demanding, just be happy staying here 😊
After 13 hours in a plane without hotel reservation it was the first that come over to my trip, I just try it and I don’t regret even one single cent that it cost! Staff extra friendly, always attentive to the kids, just imagine that you flight 13 hours with two kids and then the manager of the hotel give you a free buffet breakfast! Yeah that’s what Mohamed Khattab did!the whole hotel extra clean, the room as they show in the pictures confortable, the pool was amazing…. In general this is a hotel that I’ll recommend to anyone that wants to have a really relaxing family time!

AAnonymous UserIn general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights.
Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building.
* Location & Transportation
Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum.
And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price.
In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes
Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones.
Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it.
* Building and room conditions
Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room.
It is quite convenient a washstand in each room.
However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler.
It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel.
* Cleanness & Safety
Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this.
* Services
There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water.
Wifi is too weak to use the internet.
Other services like laundry are satisfied.
* Others
During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally.
In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better.
And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable.
Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.
GGuest UserI have traveled to several countries and stayed in many five-star hotels. In a poor country like Cairo, I am really surprised that there is such a high-end and cost-effective hotel. This hotel has cured me of all the travel fatigue for half a month and made my children happy. .I am happy. I feel like I am a princess 👸 being pampered. And I am really high-end and classy. The ceiling of Egypt.
GGuest UserThe room is next to the road, very noisy, almost no sound insulation. Security check at the door, other no problem, no food nearby, overall it's ok, nothing special, ok.
EEvgeniia bHotel is very nice. We stayed there before our next fligth. Staff was kind and accommodating us very qeckly... room was small but was okay. We get 2 bottles of water and some welcome gift as a fruit and sweets. Was nice. We was use the shuttle buss it was come in time! Everyone was very nice and helpful. We are stay again in this hotel in end of our vocation. Thank you for all hospitality
AAjalil43Novotel Cairo Airport offered a convenient, if brief, respite. Proximity to the terminals is its strongest asset, ideal for layovers. The rooms were clean and functional, though somewhat dated. Service was efficient, though not overly warm. The breakfast buffet provided a decent selection. Noise insulation was adequate, minimizing airport disturbances. Overall, it's a practical choice for transit passengers prioritizing ease of access over luxury. A solid, reliable option for a short stay, fulfilling its purpose as an airport hotel.
GGuest UserThe staff here is very friendly and helpful. I met so many lifelong friends here, even travelled the country with a couple people I met here. The common room is air-conditioned and comfortable. Breakfast is good, but the same everyday. The bathrooms are clean and I like the curtains on the beds in the dorms. I would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserFantastic hotel. The staff were so kind and too care of all our needs. The kocation entrance can be slightly tricky for user drivers but if you let 5hem know in chat where exactly you are, I helps considerably.
GGuest UserThis hotel was better than expected. We didnt stay at our usual hotel as the prices for Cairo currently are very high so this was the first time at this hotel.
The location is really good - pharmacies, restaurants, kiosks and a Metro market all with 30 seconds walk of the hotel and of course Zamalek is really central so a good hub for Uber and getting around the city.
Prior reviews are pretty bad but we found the hotel incredibly clean, the side nile view room we had was large, well appointed, the furniture was certainly not tired and we were pleased with the room from a comfort and business perspective. WIFI worked well, a desk in the room and settee and the bed was GREAT.
They really dont have any facilities and there is no gym which is an issue for us but we knew this before booking but there are many gyms close by so dont let this be an issue - just GOOGLE!
The breakfast by Egyptian standards was alright. The big plus is the omlette/egg station and they also do morning crepes. Fruit, hot food section, breads,, salads etc and frankly it does the job. Egyptians do breakfast really well so although this is a bit below par on an Egyptian level - on a European level it is very good compared to your travelodges and Holiday Inn Express's in the UK.
The staff as always are friendly, attentive and yes you need to tip but this is the same in all Egypt - average tip is 20 EGP. Leave something to housekeeping and you will get lot of extras eg extra coffee etc.
I liked the hotel, the other reviewers I think may have been there as tourists expecting something different but frankly this is a good tourist class hotel and its always a good sign when you see Egyptians staying which there were.
KKharina97For the price we paid for three rooms at over US$100 a night and considering it was a Hilton we were extremely disappointed in the rooms. The lobby looked promising, and the staff was very nice. However, the rooms looked borderline ******* and did not feel super clean. There were weird hallways and random rooms that we had to walk into before going into the hotel room itself well the staff was amazing. I cannot say that it is Hilton standard or quality and was extremely disappointed. Considering Hilton is a worldwide brand.
