Rented a Kia sportage from Alamo. The car was in a tip top conditions, it drives really well even with all the luggages and 5 adults I would say that it did not disappoint. Initially we were supposed to get the Toyota RAV4 but on the day of collection it was not available so we ended up choosing this bad boy. Honestly this car is way better then the RAV4 and it was kind a blessing in disguise because I was worried that the RAV4 couldn’t accommodate the luggages and pax we had so kudos to Alamo for having such awesome car in place. Also if trip.com did not mention anything about additional driver or deposit, then when you visit the counter be ready to place a deposit and also ask about the additional driver fee as we had one and only had to pay at the end of the rental service. Pick up time is around the same as drop off time unless you need to extend the time please give them a call I’m sure they would be willing to extend for you. Drop off is easy just drive back and follow the signs.

Since it was my first time renting a car abroad, I was very worried about driving, but the vehicle itself was an even bigger concern. I booked a 4-day rental. It was just my husband and me, without children, and since we didn't have much luggage, I thought a small car wouldn't be too big. When selecting the price and model, I decided that a compact SUV-style car would be fine without overspending. I wanted to choose a domestic car, but there weren't many options available. The policy stated that a Nissan Versa or a similar vehicle would be assigned, which, while unfamiliar, would feel somewhat familiar, so I chose that. However, to prepare for potential accidents or unexpected emergencies while overseas, I booked the highest-tier insurance plan with every available option. I was worried after reading various reviews about some overseas rental cases where a large amount was deducted from the deposit or additional fees were charged upon returning the vehicle. So, I made sure to get the insurance fully covered! In fact, on the day I visited the rental office to pick up the car, I received a Chrysler—not a similar vehicle or a Nissan Versa—to use for 4 days. I was in a great mood right from the start! What luck. Although I found some small specks of dust and what appeared to be cookie crumbs here and there, the condition of the car I received was so good that these seemed like minor flaws; it was safe, and the ride was excellent. I drove this vehicle through every corner of Banff National Park, enjoying the ride before returning it. Of course, I returned it with a full tank of gas in its original condition, and the return process was smooth, easy, and fast, which I appreciated. Shortly after, I received the full amount of the deposit back in full. It was my first rental car experience abroad, and it wasn't difficult at all. Thank you very much for providing such a great car. I was able to travel around Calgary, Canmore, and Banff in Canada with fond memories. I wish you continued success. ^^ Thank you for the wonderful memories of our first encounter with AVIS.
