1 night stay on Dec-21, 2024 in cottage 19 named 'Colvillea'. The property has long nature trails to explore. The porter helped us with our luggage into the cottage. The reception welcomed us with watermelon juice and a warm wet refreshing towel. The WiFi credentials when we stayed there were: username = sarova & for password = ask them! Good WiFi connection. Learnt that the resort is protected from local wildlife with an electric fence enabled always. The staff attentively went into the cottage when we were dining to fix the mosquito nets around the bed. They were always ready to help and greeted us with jambo. The property has totally 65 lodges/cottages & they also hosted a dance by the staff / locals at 7 pm to Bollywood music whilst we were there. On 21 Dec, 2024 had lunch & dinner & on 22 Dec, 2024 ate breakfast at this property's Flamingo Restaurant. The eatables include pineapple, dark chocolate flakes, watermelon, white/cumin/poha rice, spiced ladies finger, garlic bread, honey glazed pumpkin, roasted potato, eggless Lamington cake, papad, bread croutons, sunflower seeds, juices etc. Good accommodation to explore LAKE NAKURU.
We loved our stay here and regret we only stayed one night. The view from the dining room and from our room was stunning and the food was fantastic. All of the staff were so friendly and accommodating, which we really appreciated. The room was very clean and much bigger than we expected with a beautiful, big bathroom with a great shower. There is a service to drive you up and down to your room from the main lobby as it is a steep walk but nothing too challenging. Like I said, only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!
Stayed at Lake Nakuru lodge with family and it was a perfect choice thanks to a recommendation from our Travel Agent Nancy Kariuki of Treasured East Africa Safaris Limited. The views were breathtaking, we all loved our rooms, the food was fantastic and such great service from all the staff. Oh and such great sightings of animals (lions, rhinos, buffalos etc) during our game drives. Definitely going back again and again!
