A hidden, ancient courtyard tucked away in Tunxi Old Street, featuring a stargazing loft where you can gaze at the starry sky and bright moon directly from your bed. On the Mid-Autumn Festival, I was able to lie in bed and watch the moon without stepping outside—it was truly dreamlike. The common areas are incredibly spacious; my child spent time practicing calligraphy and playing the guzheng, completely captivated. It was wonderfully relaxing, washing away all the fatigue from yesterday's hike up Huangshan.

Excellent service from all their team members in hotel from reception desk to breakfast team. A must stay when in Tunxi, Huangshan as the hotel location is the best with a short walk to Tunxi Old Quarters. Great service all around and even served warm milk and fruits on arrival and their specialities candies on departure. They even offered to change us to a twin room upon our arrival when they realised I'm travelling with my dad. Great hospitality from Hui Leisure Inn

The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were incredibly smart and advanced. The owner was a super nice and enthusiastic person who recommended delicious local food to us and even gave us a pot of tea. The surrounding environment was also very quiet. It's definitely highly recommended. Wishing the owner a prosperous business!

I had a good stay here. The room was large and had a nice sunroom attached, the cafe in the lobby was also pleasant. It’s a very short walk to the mountain entrance and the host was very helpful with giving advice for hiking routes, buying tickets, and recommending restaurants. He also speaks fluent English, which is nice for international travelers.

The environment, facilities and services are perfect.
The core of Chengkan is this hotel. If there is no hotel, the beauty of Chengkan will be weakened by half. It is strongly recommended to stay in this hotel for one night when you come to Chengkan. It feels like being the owner of Chengkan, enjoying the scenery and the beauty that many tourists cannot see.
The service of everyone in the hotel must be mentioned. Everyone is smiling, very moderately enthusiastic and considerate.
The child wants to play chess, and the housekeeper uncle specially finds chess, repeatedly disinfects it and puts it under the big tree for the child. If you want to take it to the room to play, he will help move it.
You can rest freely in all areas of the hotel. If you want to eat or have afternoon tea, you can ask the housekeeper to deliver it to you at any location.
In addition, you can enjoy the night tour of fish lanterns and the viewing position of fireworks, as well as the folk singer concert invited by the hotel.
The room is an ancient building, but the interior is very delicate and clean, the design is just right, and the degree of intelligence is also very high. There will be no additional charge for everything in the room, including afternoon tea and sweet soup.
It’s really a happy night here.
We will definitely come again❤️

Very nice homestay. Neat, clean, aesthetically pleasing and warm service. The temperature dropped when we arrived, so the boss turned on the indoor floor heating in advance, and the house was warm as soon as we entered. The room is not only clean and warm, but also has a Dyson hair dryer, horse oil toiletries, clean and dry bedding, and disposable bathtub covers. Every detail is very well thought out. A very spacious public space is reserved, with a different view at every step. It can be said that this place itself is an aesthetic space, where you can sit here drinking tea and daydreaming for an entire afternoon. It was raining and the temperature dropped, so the boss lit a charcoal stove. It was windy and rainy outside, but people sat around the stove drinking tea and chatting. The value of this was simply off the charts. The food and beverage is also great. The breakfast is rich and delicious, needless to say. We also asked the proprietress to arrange our lunch and dinner here. There are all kinds of specialties and seasonal dishes, which are clean and delicious. Very satisfied with the journey, perfect.

When traveling to Anhui for the first time, I did not choose the more famous Hongcun, but Chengkan, which has a niche reputation. The proprietress of this B&B is very enthusiastic, arranges pick-up and drop-off for guests, and is very patient no matter how late the guests arrive. The breakfast was hearty and delicious, and was given as a small gift when checking out. Beautiful Chengkan has mountains and rivers. Although there are no mountains or lakes, a quick walk in the ancient villages can calm your impetuous mind. If you are tired of the fast pace of big cities, why not stay here for a while and listen to the chirping of crickets and frogs at night... If you have been to Chengkan, you will never have troubles in your life.

The most satisfying thing about this trip is to choose this homestay! From the beginning of the reservation, the customer service is very patient, there are questions and answers, and all kinds of precautions are reminded in place.
After arriving at the store, the environment of the homestay was amazing to me. The overall style is very distinctive, the public areas are warm and comfortable, and there are many green plants embellished, which makes people feel super good. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and I slept very soundly at night.
The location of the homestay is also great, there are many food and attractions around, and it is very convenient to travel. The boss and the housekeeper are super enthusiastic, just like family, and also helped recommend some niche punch-in places, and the experience was full. Next time I come here, I will definitely stay here! I suggest you choose a homestay and live in Pusu.

Before my trip, I spent a long time searching for a hotel on Ctrip. I'm quite picky about hotels, usually preferring four or five-star options, especially when traveling with family. I chose this one after seeing the word ”hotel.” I've always disliked B&Bs (homestays), as the management, cleanliness, and service were far inferior to similarly priced hotels. ”Hui Zi Zai” feels like a B&B in every way. Its strengths include its unique design, good room facilities, a large lounge area on the first floor, and a comfortable, quiet room. The breakfast was good; the variety wasn't limited, but it felt clean and delicious. The biggest drawback was its distance from the Hongcun scenic area, making the walk there and back tiring. There were no shared bikes, especially with family and the weather being hot. I suggest the hotel offer bicycle rentals for added convenience. I'd also like to give two examples: First, my aunt stayed one night there and woke up in the morning to find numerous red spots on her feet from unknown insect bites. She suspected they were fleas or something else, but since I'd never seen fleas, I couldn't be sure. When I told the staff, their immediate response was that it was impossible. The room was occupied every day, and no one had ever complained. Then, when it was gone, they offered no solution, which made me feel like I was just making a fuss. I asked to change the bedding, and they immediately agreed. Second, the staff asked me to scan the QR code at the hotel front desk to buy Hongcun tickets, but they didn't mention that seniors were free. After scanning, there were two codes: one for a senior and child ticket for 56 yuan. After entering the senior's ID card, they said they didn't meet the requirements. I understood this to mean they didn't meet the age requirements, so I bought a regular adult ticket several hours in advance. When I arrived at the Hongcun entrance and scanned my ID, it showed I hadn't purchased the ticket and it was invalid. I checked my reservation, but it was gone. The Hongcun ticket agent said I should either buy through Ctrip or an official channel, and avoid buying through unknown platforms because there's no guarantee. Also, seniors over 60 are free. I called the hotel front desk and they told me to refund the room myself. They could see the booking, but I couldn't find my purchase history. I was furious. It was hot, I was late for a photo shoot, the studio kept pushing, and I couldn't get through. It really dampened my mood and I was about to check out. After calming down, I felt there was no need to get upset over such a small matter, so the hotel finally refunded me. Hui Zi Zai is indeed affordable, comparable to Atour and Juzi. A hotel like Atour would surely handle this situation more professionally, taking the guests' feelings into account and resolving the issue, rather than initially shifting the blame and acting as if the guests were causing trouble. That's all I have to say. While 700 yuan a night isn't expensive, the service may not be up to par. The most important thing about a hotel is the service. I've tried my best to present the facts for your reference. If you argue, you win. I'm giving it four stars to avoid further unpleasantness. Thank you.

LLydiascapesMy stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful.
I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge.
The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day.
The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night.
The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre.
In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family.
I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language.
I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

GGuest UserThe high walls, deep courtyards and horse-head walls are the century-old mansions in Huizhou. The ancestors were a wealthy family. When you step into it, you will see a different scene with every step. The pictures on the Internet are not so amazing. When you enter it, you will know the secrets. The owner has spent a lot of time on the renovation of the famous inn, which not only retains the original building structure but also adds a modern atmosphere. There are few comments. It is the first choice for accommodation in Hongcun, southern Anhui
Jjkdy_****The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, bright, and cozy. The service is thoughtful and efficient. The location is convenient for transportation, making it easy to get around. Taxis can drop you off directly at the hotel lobby. There are free parking facilities, and the location is easily accessible.

A family business, and it shows. The whole family is involved. Just a few minutes from the mountain buses, don't hesitate to chat with the managers to get all the information.
Magnificent view of the mountains. I recommend the in-house restaurant for breakfast and a hot meal at the end of the day. Small grocery store on site, ideal for water before climbing the mountain.
Don't hesitate to ask the owners to organize your return to the station by local taxi. It will cost you less than any Didi.
The rest is classic and efficient. Large beds, international sockets, bathroom with everything you need. And owner reachable in case of a problem. Do not hesitate to let them know if you are arriving late !

AAnonymous UserTo be honest, I don't like staying in B&Bs. Most B&Bs are not very grand. They are just for making quick money, but they don't provide any service. The employees are usually just friends or relatives, or they are from the same village, so there is no service to speak of. I would like to talk about my feelings about staying in this hotel. I won’t talk about the accommodation environment for now. Holiday economy housing is definitely expensive. We took a shower first after we moved in. Because the B&B didn’t provide laundry detergent or something like that, I used shower gel to wash my clothes. After washing, I found that there were not enough bathing supplies, so I contacted the B&B to send a set. They replied that the toiletries we were equipped with were more expensive, so they only gave us one set. They said that if we needed more, we could only get toiletries of another brand. I suddenly felt uncomfortable. The accommodation fee was more than 1,000 yuan a night, and I didn’t know how expensive this set of toiletries was? Four small bottles of Evian water were provided, and we didn't feel comfortable asking for more after we finished them. What I want to say is that your service concept and the fees you charge don't match, because I have stayed in countless hotels, and this is the first time I have encountered such a thing. Secondly, the breakfast is very simple. Among the four side dishes, only the pickled vegetables were bought and the only one that was freshly made was the fried tofu. Also, I heard a guest wanted to ask the management for some fruit, but you refused. As a guest, it took her courage to ask you for something. Is there something wrong with your management model and business model? I wanted it to be high-end, but the service was not up to par. I'm so embarrassed that I really want to get it off my chest.
GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!
GGuest UserThe most beautiful proprietress in Hongcun is not only beautiful, she also drives to and from the hotel herself. The service is meticulous and the accommodation environment is good. Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!
