Amazing location and kind host ! Room is clean and comfortable. Location is amazing just 5 minutes from metro and in the market so endless food to try. It is located in a backstreet but it was not hard to find as I saw in some comments, it is very safe and smiling neighbors. The host kindly showed me where to do my laundry and offered daily cleaning if needed. Very available by text for any question. Thank you and wish you the best !

I chose this hotel because of a single photo, and it certainly didn't disappoint. Usually, pet-friendly hotels tend to have some minor cleanliness issues, and I'm quite prone to allergies. However, once I got to my room, I realized my worries were unfounded; I stayed for three days with absolutely no reactions. Secondly, although the front desk isn't 24-hour, the regularly updated access codes and the incredibly thoughtful butler-style service perfectly address any concerns about safety and service quality in a busy area. I also really liked the food street downstairs – it had everything, was clean, and delicious. I had many conversations with the butler about animals and food; I just enjoyed chatting with her whenever I had a moment. Finally, the cats at the hotel are adorable. Little Ear is the shyest, and Liu Liu is the most affectionate, but personally, I'm most fond of the adorable face of the little butler. If we visit Xi'an again and you're still around, we'll definitely head straight for your hotel without considering anywhere else.

Came with my dad but I wish I had brought all my friends and family so they could all experience this amazing accomodation!! Absolutely fantastic experience here, I could not recommend it more! This place is incredibly foreigner friendly with quite a few staff who can speak English and the amenities are beyond outstanding. Even for foreigners who know a fair bit of Chinese like me, it was so easy to talk to all the staff and I felt so at ease. Every picture I took made me think I was nestled in the forests of Japan. From the rooftop gardens, to the tea rooms, to the front communal space, and personal rooms, everything is curated to perfection and tech filled to the max! Expect vintage stereos, vinyl players and projectors at every communal area! All the staff are so friendly and create the welcoming community energy that tremendously enriches your experience in Xi’an. There is also a pub opposite the road for complimentary happy hours, communal hot pots and dumpling making on different nights! I cannot wait to recommend this hotel to everyone I know, and I am beyond excited to bring my family and friends back here!

The Hotel has a perfect location for visiting the mountains. The rooms are very high quality. There are even intelligent toilets and a rain shower. Some of the windows are bloocked by other roofs. The view towards mountains on the rooftop is amazing though. Almost 360 degrees. The Kitchen is open during the whole day and the food is fresh and delicious providing authentic quisine. Especially the staff deserves praise for their hospitality. They offered to drive us everyqhere we needed to go on our 2 day trip and gave us gloves for our climbing trip. All of that for free without us asking. Price is very fair too. I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

After a long day of driving, we finally reached the front desk to check in. Immediately upon check-in, the proprietress started relentlessly pushing 'complimentary' activities, specifically guided tours and theater tickets. This instantly created a very negative impression. She then simply assumed I wanted the guided tour, asked how many headsets I'd need, and demanded a transfer payment. When I declined, she suggested a late-night play would be 'perfect'. It truly felt like she didn't care about guests' exhaustion, only about making a quick buck. The Wi-Fi signal was completely inadequate for the number of rooms; I had to tether my laptop to my phone. The owner claimed the Wi-Fi was down and being repaired outside – an obvious lie! There was no one in sight doing repairs, and how could it possibly take an entire day to fix? Even the disposable slippers were paper-thin, another letdown. What's more, they initially set very high room prices, then slash them hourly if not booked within a few hours. The blatant commercialism and greed of this place are truly overwhelming.

I cannot express how wonderful this property was. We had the family suite, which had two bedrooms, all beautifully and uniquely designed - one child slept in a nest! The location and approach was dramatic. It is situated in the heart of the bustling Muslim quarter of Xi’an, off a narrow street lined with colourful food vendors and shops. To reach the property you go down a narrow corridor off the Main Street, and we were nervous about what we would find - this is not your typical hotel. But the host met us on the street and helped us with our bags to the suite. The rooms were spotless and the beds comfortable. Everything is hand made and individual. The host could not be more helpful. This was epitomised when my suitcase broke on the way to the hotel (it requires a 3 minute walk)… he gave me one of his suitcases that he didn’t use. The district is very loud and bustling but the rooms are very quiet - set back from the Main Street. I suspect we wouldn’t have experienced this wonderful part of Xi’an without having chanced upon this accommodation. It really made our trip even more special. If you are a traveller who likes a bland business hotel, this isn’t for you. But if you enjoy the experiences of travelling and staying in unusual places, with incredibly generous and helpful hosts, then our family recommend the Solitude Art Inn without reservation.

The moment I wheeled my suitcase into Zhiyin, it instantly pulled me out of the exhausting crowds of Datang Everbright City and made me feel comfortable! It's a 5-minute walk to the subway station, and just a hundred steps or so to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. After watching the light show at night, strolling back, even the breeze felt leisurely. The floor-to-ceiling window in my Pagoda View room was like a soft-focus filter. Waking up in the morning, I saw the Big Wild Goose Pagoda bathed in the warm morning light, and I snapped ten photos by the window. I could just call ”Xiao Du” to adjust the AC and close the curtains. Plus, being able to enjoy the Big Wild Goose Pagoda's night view up close – how wonderful is that! I filled my photo album with pictures in Hanfu in the courtyard; a nine-grid post on WeChat Moments wasn't nearly enough! Next time I come to Xi'an, I'm absolutely cementing this place into my itinerary!

The owner was incredibly warm and helpful. I misplaced my charger, and he went out of his way to communicate and coordinate, assisting in the search. I'm truly grateful for his efforts. Each room at the guesthouse has a unique style, and the overall experience was fantastic. My kids are already looking forward to staying here again on our next trip.

The room is quite big, the air conditioning is very cold, the toilet and bathroom are quite good, and the takeaway is delivered quickly. There is a big door. Overall, I am quite satisfied. I will stay here again next time. The airport transfer is timely.

The owner was incredibly friendly and provided excellent service. I had originally booked a double room, but they kindly upgraded us to a triple room for free. The guesthouse is very conveniently located near the train station, and it offers great value for money!
