Highlight of my trip in China so far. Hostel was the best social vibe with a great host that really knows the city. He also has planned tours that (I think) he leads so if you come with no plans you’ll be taken care of. I only stayed one night and also loved the location (but also had a tough time finding it - asked the ladies around the corner and they helped). I’ll add it’s true no towels were provided for me so I had brought my own, and the bunk does not have a “fluffy” mattress yet I somehow slept perfectly well (but I’ve been in China for a while so maybe used to that type of bed already).

It's really great! I met a lot of friends, and the hostel ladies are also very friendly! I will go again next time! Because a hostel makes you like a city~ The room is consistent with the picture, the decoration style is very much liked, the various facilities are beautifully arranged, clean and hygienic, and you can rest assured to stay. The homestay is in a bustling area, and transportation is convenient. The sound insulation is good, the air conditioning is cool, and I slept very well all night. There are also cats to pet, they are all super well-behaved and cute, and you can watch movies together in the lobby. I will choose this place next time.

West Street Surrounding Area
I’m kicking myself for choosing this place over somewhere that was closer to the center of town/tourist area… I prefer walking over biking/scooter so that was my downfall. As of August, they rent out scooters for 30Y/day (but max 30km, or 50Y/day with outside scooters) and bikes for 10Y/day. On the bright side, this place would be perfect for relaxing with the pool and the quiet away from a bustling street and the clean shared spaces - the dorm seemed to be solid beds but mine was a bit dusty in the corners. I saw they also had multiple free washing machines on the 6th floor with a large drying area for guests, so that would also have been convenient to use if needed. My room was a walk up (but I bet a majority of the buildings around there are) so after the adventures of the day it was pretty exhausting going up and down. If you’re set on renting a scooter or bike or even wanting to settle in Yangshuo for a longer time, then I really would recommend this place.

There is a hut in Yuzhou, which is the best youth hostel I live in in China. Providing disposable supplies is very complete. The customer service sister is fluent in Korean and does not interfere with communication. Very satisfied! The bathroom is very clean and tidy. The bed is comfortable too. 1.2 I had to have a bed over a meter, but I didn't really think of providing a disposable bed quilt cover. (David Assel, Northern Exposure (American TV drama), bed pronunciation) The overall experience is very good, so in the future China will prefer Zhejiang Hyoxin's Chain Brigade! It's amazing! I like it so much! Please make me have a perfect holiday in China! Thank you for your customer service sister.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was exactly what I was looking for. My room had a panoramic window view of the mountains outside, and the hotel roof terrace is really nice too! Clean bathroom and western toilet. It was a great location for the Mingshi Scenic Area, and about 45 min drive from the Detian Waterfall area. The hotel helped me arrange a driver to take me to Detian and were very friendly. There are several local restaurants around to eat at, plus a Vietnamese coffee shop just 5 minutes walk away. Only downside is the walls are pretty thin and you can hear other people. But overall, it was clean, a good price, and convenient for my travels in Mingshi.

Nanning Meilan Space Capsule Youth Apartment (Guangxi University)

Convenient location near the metro station (right outside exit I), there are many shops and restaurants located all around the area, but most notably in the underground pass. I would advise to contact the host before arriving, as the check-in was done via WeChat (you enter the apartment via a code). The place was clean and toiletries were provided, there is also a closed balcony so you can dry your clothes. The toilet is only a squat one, but doesn't stink. Also the entry code for the apartment was changed after my first day after some people check out(was sent the new code via WeChat) so thumbs up for the extra security.

At first it may look a lityle bit complicated. To find the place, to get through security. But just write to houseowner. He'll guide you with fine english. And experience itself is interesting. Does not require a lot of time. Cats are very nice. View from 23 store are also really great. The subway is a few minuites by walking. And you could eat during this way. There are a lot of shops all around. Room is fine for a hostel. A bed was a little bit short for me. Diagonal position worked just fine.

I stayed here temporarily before going to the airport. The location is easy to find and it is very convenient to get to the city. A taxi to the city only costs 50 yuan. It is more cost-effective than luggage storage. It is very quiet and you can also take a nap. There is a scenic river in front, which may be the Li River. branch. Anyway, I saw people walking. There is a cigarette shop at the door. The price is very affordable. Anyway, I think Guilin people are very simple.
