MusumeLocated on the third floor of a residential building, with the unit door facing west – easy to find if you have a good sense of direction. Downstairs is the Shizijie Pedestrian Street, where you can easily buy snacks and fruits. The owner occasionally organizes various city tours to less-known destinations, away from typical tour groups, so you might consider joining a group activity. Chara usually appears between 1 PM and 3 PM; it's not a guest, so encountering it requires a bit of luck 🤗

Honestly, I was quite disappointed.
Based on the photos, the common area looks great: bright, welcoming, with what seems to be a nice social space and a beautiful bar. In reality, when you arrive, you realize that this is just the reception, and it doesn’t look the same at all. It feels like the photos were heavily edited or filtered. There is no bar on the right side as shown; instead, there was a guy sitting at the reception with all his personal belongings, watching TV. There are no bar chairs, no real common space, and no area designed to meet people, which is one of the main reasons for staying in a hostel.
I was traveling solo, and I ended up paying more than I would have paid in another hotel, for a lower-quality room and with no pleasant common space or bar at all.
On top of that, a guy from the reception entered my room without warning, without knocking, and woke me up during the morning. He was lost and thought I was supposed to check out that day, which was incorrect. He didn’t apologize or warn me before entering.
There was no proper heating or air conditioning. Either it was not available or it was turned off to save energy or money, but the room was very cold. My room had no window, and most of the rooms don’t have windows either.
Overall, for the price, I was really disappointed.

This hostel deserves five stars! The location is fantastic – right outside the high-speed rail station, making it incredibly convenient to get to attractions and business districts. It's not in the bustling city center, so it's very quiet. The common areas are clean and tidy, with separate sections for male and female guests. The public space is large, and the decor is cozy and stylish. It's super comfortable for chatting with friends or reading in the evening. Plus, there are adorable cats! Playing with them was so much fun. The owner and staff are warm and thoughtful. After a hike, I was running late to pick up my luggage from storage and head to the high-speed rail station, so I just rested on the sofa. The owner even brought me a blanket, saying I could lie down and cover up to avoid catching a cold since I was traveling. That was so heartwarming! The bunk beds are comfy, the mattresses are just right (not too hard, not too soft), and the blankets are clean and odor-free. The soundproofing is also good, ensuring a great night's sleep. The washrooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily, and hot water is available 24/7, which is perfectly sufficient! It offers amazing value for money, and I felt as comfortable as if I were at home. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

EatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

I booked this B&B after reading the reviews. It was just as described in the reviews. The owner was friendly, the place was clean, and it was close to the airport, so the girl felt safe there.

Qinzhou Haijiao No. 7 Hotel (Sanniangwan Branch)
Seaview Double Room double bed
Furnishings fairly new and light, giving a friendly impression.
View of street, trees and sea further on.
Nice hot water!
Bed lights did not work.
The glass wall next to the basin, shelf above it and tap, was quite dirty 😱. I cleaned it while the host fixed the lights.
Soap holder in shower and shower glass door also very dirty.
No shower mat, asked for another towel.
Sheet was torn. Rest of bedding clean. No extra blanket or duvet.
Air-conditioning making noise so switched it off.
No tea.
Hairdryer not at mirror.
Hotel:
We are just a very ordinary hotel here! There are not many facilities. Sorry.
There are good hotels at the entrance of the scenic spot. I can take you there.
Marna:
These issues have nothing to do with a small or big hotel!
Actually at a small hotel it should be better as there are not so many staff nor rooms to manage and should there be more time to give attention to cleanliness and condition of bedding.

Hey Shanghainese folks, listen up! It's only a few hundred meters from the actual main entrance, but for lazy people, it might be a bit of a trek. You can drive there, and parking is 30 RMB. The guesthouse itself is really great – clean and relatively quiet! It's the tallest and largest guesthouse around, standing out from the ones on either side, so the views are unobstructed. During the National Day holiday, things were busy, but the landlady kept her cool and was super responsive to everything, which I really appreciated. Honestly, after looking around this trip, the service here was better than other so-called high-end guesthouses. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. There's parking right outside. I didn't have the landlady buy the 80 RMB tickets for me because she couldn't get them until 8:30 AM, and the scenic area opens at 7:30 AM. I bought my 110 RMB ticket online directly and was the first one through the gates on National Day. By 9 AM, when I was done and leaving, the peak crowds were just arriving. Then I went back to the guesthouse, took a shower, had some noodles, and relaxed watching a Vietnamese drama – pretty sweet!

I asked via trip.com how to get from xingping to the hostel they gave me a name which I couldn't find on amap so I asked the host from xingping to call them and ask to send me the name in chinese. They said they didn't know im coming from xingping and therefore they gave me this info. Then they said I need to get off at the bus station instead, its 3km from the hostel. When I arrived after 2pm no one was there and it was closed.i had to ask a lady across hotel to call them and tell im there. They gave her the pin so I could enter. I waited till they came not for long time. The girl gave me some infos what to see in yangshuo. When I got back around 8pm no one was there again so I had to communicate via trip.com which worked.
It was noisy until 12 from street then until 2 or 3 am the people who stayed in hostel acted like they were there alone. The receptionist offered to take me to bus station for 10yuan which was super helpful and convenient.
But nothing to complain f this price.

We really enjoyed our stay here and would really recommend for Yangshuo!
A lovely sociable, chilled atmosphere. We ended up organising day trips and meals with fellow travellers.
The location is just perfect, away from the noise and lights of Yangshuo with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of restaurants—and the town itself—within walking distance.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also booked a couple of their activities on our last day which were really great—a Chinese calligraphy lesson with a local artist, and a short tai chi lesson at a local school.
The private room had a lovely finish and the beds were comfortable.
