Aquila Nova Resort

Can not rate this place and experience high enough. Truely felt like being transported to another world (think living your best Beatrix Potter life) despite only being an hour away from the city. 🌸 🦜🐿️🌹🍃 The decadent interiors of the suite amongst the most beautiful grounds/garden made for the most perfect stay. The jacuzzi style tub was an absolute treat to soak in with the lounge TV perfectly within viewing, along with the log fireplace! 🔥🪵 The four poster bed was also beyond luxurious with the most breath taking views from the window. Arina & Alex were wonderful hosts providing a fully stocked fridge (ingredients for multiple hearty farm breakfasts - eggs, bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, avocado, yoghurt, muesli, fresh orange juice, coffee/tea) along with even arriving to a freshly baked loaf of bread (still hot with butter)! 🍞 There was even mini ice-creams in the freezer. The antipasto board I’d ordered as an extra treat was also 10/10. They’d thought of everything and the place was impeccably clean. I feel so inspired after staying at such a beautiful place to continue to replicate as many of the awe inspiring touches in both my home and routine from interior/planting inspiration to self care. Thank you for such a memorable stay. 🌟
Georgian Court Inn

The place was cheap and did the job for only going there to sleep. Got what we paid for. It’s fine. The room description said queen size bed but it was definitely a double. There was mould in the bathroom and no soaps for us to use, only two packets of shampoo. The aircon was not the best but did the job. Lots of places throughout the hotel that need a touch up, it’s very old and has had barley any work done. The entire place has an odd smell of dust and other stuff and I couldn’t stop sneezing the whole time. Everything was cheap, TV was cheap, towels were cheap, pillow covers were cheap. But, the staff were lovely and helpful. The location is very good. The hotel is beautiful on the outside. The bed was very comfy.
The Goat and Goose Bed & Breakfast

Lovely find. A solo traveller and her dog thoroughly enjoyed their 3 night stay. Great views from our room. Relaxing spa and nice big comfortable bed, with electric blanket. Everything needed in room. Such an abundant continental breakfast (kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave supplied) or spoil yourself with Sheree’s homemade hot breakfast. You definitely get spoiled with an afternoon tea too. Thanks Sheree, Jax and I will definitely be back.
Discovery Parks - Warrnambool

We had a ”Deluxe 2 Bedroom Cabin” which was very clean and well maintained. Not much space between these cabins but there wasn't any noise so that wasn't an issue. Beds and lounge furniture was comfortable and the usual selection of tea bags, coffee sachets and toiletries were provided. All in all no complaints with the accommodation. The one issue we did have was with the wifi - although advertised as having wifi the connection was so unreliable and slow we gave up and ended up tethering our phones to our laptops and using mobile data so we could do what work that we needed to do. However we would stay there again, the location is good and the accommodation we had was better than we had expected.
Metung Holiday Villas

We visited here for our only short break from work, 5 days, with the kids on the school holidays just before school started and discovered that the pool shut at 7.00 pm. We paid premium rates to book this place on school holidays, nearly double the amount that is advertised now. Our main draw card for booking was having access to the pool. We do not have a pool at home and we came from heatwave conditions in Melbourne and was really looking forward to this trip. We were all exhausted from work and school and this was our only time off to spend together as a family and we just wanted to relax by the pool. We placed great emphasis on there being a pool and 7.00pm was way to early to shut down a pool. Most of the advertising of this place is based around the pool and that was the basis of us booking this place. If we had known that the pool shut at 7.00pm I would not have spent a penny here and would rather have gone elsewhere. Very Disappointed !!!
Paynesville Holiday Park
4.5/550 Reviews
My wife and I stayed at the park for 4 nights in November in a 2 bedroom villa at a cost of $152.50 per night. While the cabin was very comfortable the hot water service in the shower was atrocious and was either scalding hot or freezing cold. We advised reception of this each morning and were told it would be rectified ASAP, including being told how to regulate the taps, but we were unable to have a satisfactory shower during our stay. Fortunately we did not have any children with us as they would have been in danger of being scalded and we informed reception of this again on our departure. Although reception staff were very nice and friendly this is very poor service for plus $150 accommodation.

Nrma Halls Gap Holiday Park

Spent a night in one of the cedar cabins . Very clean and comfortable. The new managers, Pam and Shane have made a big difference. They are so friendly, acknowledging everyone they meet around the park. Pam was showing us the hall late afternoon when a guest asked if they were showing the footy there. Pam organised it at short notice all with a smile. It was obvious to us that a good guest experience is important to Pam and Shane. The pool area is well maintained and tidy. The views are great and the park is very family friendly. Great spot for a family holiday.
Butterfly Farm Bed and Breakfast Nirranda

On the tour over the Great Ocean Road we made a stop for a night here. The farmhouse is located in the middle of the nature, far from the noises of the city. It is a very sneaked old building with many small doors and its own charm. We were very warmly welcomed and entoured. We had a small room, the bathroom was almost as large as it was, with bathtub and shower, the toilet is accessible separately via a small hall. We found almost everything you needed in the room: from the refrigerator over water cookers, heating and even heating decks and TV, which we didn't need and therefore can't say anything about functionality. We enjoyed using the Wi-Fi. I missed only a chair or a night box to put something in bed. Breakfast was individually, warm and cold mixed. We could park in the garden before the door. A star deduction is there because there was a big problem with small furnishings, especially in the bathroom, but also in the bedroom. Whoever seeks to rest, besides the sounds of nature, is here well lifted, the owners are unlikely to be nice.
