Relax in this unusual setting of a floating home on the inner lagoon of Taggs Island situated on the river Thames, close to Hampton Court Palace, Richmond & Kingston. Tamanzi offers guests a singular experience of living in urban nature in London. Come and slow down at Tamanzi, immerse yourself in a bit of luxury & enjoy the best of both worlds - London sights & communing with nature.Tamanzi offers an unique opportunity for two guests to enjoy Thames island life first-hand, in a very peaceful and unforgettable setting. The name Tamanzi originates from the Zulu word 'amanzi', meaning water. When the sun rises you can take out the yoga mat from the rooftop box and do sun salutations to greet the day. Or sip a morning coffee in the rooftop hammock or take breakfast on the walkway patio. You might even have the ducks coming for breakfast too - we live adjacent and feed them daily so they will come to say hello. In spring you are spoiled with all the babies in tow - ducklings, cygnets, goslings. As the day stretches out in front of you either jump on the Hampton Court train and pack in some hard-core London sightseeing. Connections from the Waterloo (the end of the line) is easy with buses, Uber, the London Underground and rental bikes. Similarly, you can work remotely from the large dining room table with fibre broadband speed or catch-up on a box set, with the added bonus of looking at the ducks and geese pass by the front of the floating home. All the mod cons are to hand to make modern connections as seamless as possible, including USB charging points around the rooms. Alternatively, we dare you to simply just exhale at Tamanzi - to fully commune with nature and enjoy the water as backdrop. The floating home has been designed to celebrate urban nature and a bucket load of my home country South Africa. As water surrounds Tamanzi the green blues bring the outside in. To underscore this 'slow down, take it easy' approach the space has been filled with items to put the tech aside and herald back to the good old days before mobile phones such as puzzles, colouring books, and board games. As the day progresses, you can always opt to enjoy the Swedish hot tub fired by a wood burner stove (additional charge, booked before arrival or at least 6 hours in advance). The hot tub is located on the semi-private garden entrance, adjacent to the public access road. It is a hot tub with a view and quiet with no jacuzzi bubbles in sight. There's also a two-person infrared sauna in the floating home that can be booked in advance (located in the host's side workshop). For those wishing to explore the Thames River we can also offer the use of our Canadian canoe and peddle kayak or a little river cruise (in summer) to take to the waters. The walkway around the floating home also has a pontoon ladder to go for some wild water swimming, however, remember to bring scuba socks and use a bright swimming cap or floating device to alert boats navigating the water ways. As the sun sets retreat to your own rooftop with a cocktail or a glass of wine, with its green staircase to heaven. The green rooftop overlooks the lagoon mouth and the busy Thames beyond, where rowers are put through their paces and large river vessels pass paddlers and wild water swimmers. Tamanzi will really fire your imagination and from its romantic lagoon setting, it truly offers the best of both worlds - a urban nature space on the river Thames with the bright lights of London just 40 minutes away.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 3:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking is not permitted.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 21.About events:Events allowed: family gatherings and birthday parties.Maximum event attendees: 8.

Very short overnight stay after spending the day at Wimbledon, so my review is limited! The room seemed newly decorated, small but functional (fine as a solo traveller.) It was a bit noisy in the morning, as situated next to the lift. I was disappointed not to find any drinking water available in the room, as is typical at other Crowne Plazas I've stayed in. The bathroom tap water wasn't pleasant. Good location with just a 30-40 minute walk to Kingston. I didn't use the bar/restaurant or have breakfast, so can't comment on those. The staff I dealt with were friendly and efficient.

Great experience staying at this place, easy, smooth and fuss free. The location was excellent, 5 min walk from the train and DLR stations and a short stroll to the vibrant Greenwich with all its attractions. We particularly appreciated the little kitchenette as we cook all our own meals. The bathroom was nice, spacious and warm. We had all we needed for a comfortable stay and would stay here again. Great value compared to what's available in London.

My recent stay at the Bexleyheath Marriott was a delightful experience. The hotel's convenient location, coupled with its modern and comfortable amenities, made it the perfect choice for my trip. One of the highlights of my stay was the incredibly comfortable queen-size bed. After a long day of exploring London, I found myself sinking into the soft, plush mattress and enjoying a restful night's sleep. The bedding was luxurious, and the room was quiet, providing the ideal environment for relaxation. Beyond the comfortable bed, the Marriott exceeded my expectations in many ways. The staff was friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests. The hotel's facilities were well-maintained, and the dining options were excellent. Whether you're looking for a casual meal or a more formal dining experience, the Marriott has something to offer. Overall, I highly recommend the Bexleyheath Marriott for anyone seeking a comfortable and enjoyable stay in London. The queen-size bed alone is worth the visit!

Lovely and modern inside main reception/restaurant area, but a few teething issues which will hopefully get sorted now up and running again. I was given the key to someone elses room, so walked into a room full of belongings and then the next day my key lost it's programming, so had to go back to reception yet again. Rooms aren't very sound proofed, so there was a few nights where I had people non stop walking through the corridors at gone midnight shouting and singing where likely drunk from the bar. Overall okay stay for the money though, bottles of water and a few biscuits were provided too which was a lovely touch. Bar prices very reasonable too

Terrible hotel. Checked in, got to room only to find someone else in bed. Was told by receptionist that ‘there couldn’t be’!! Stayed two nights. On both nights first two items on menu choice were unavailable. On second night third choice was Nachos. Delivered to table without chilies, sour cream or cheese. So just the tomato sauce then. Apparently the chef couldn’t find the ingredients 🤦. Upon check out charged twice on card. Asked how stay was and told. Ignored. Never stay there again.

Booked this hotel for parents who were visiting London. The hotel room on floor 4 was of a high standard with a view over the Thames. The gym was good and the outside seating of the restaurant enjoyable in the sunny weather. Unfortunately the ferry connecting Canary Wharf to the hotel was not in use but the hotel provided complementary shuttle taxis to the Uber boat pier and free travel on the Uber boat with the Hotel key card.

The TV wouldn’t work in our room and while the check in staff were very very helpful the maintenance team didn’t show up to sort it. The following day we asked to have a room change which was no problem but we were put directly over the train station. They do supply ear plugs but boy is it noisy! Rooms are clean, facilities are good, staff friendly just make sure you ask for a room the opposite side of the hotel to the train station, unless you are a train spotter!

Very nice stay at the Bankside hotel though not without some difficulties. We had asked for a quiet room but were placed right next to the lift lobby and opposite the water dispenser, and with hard floors throughout the lift lobby and entrance area of the rooms this meant a LOT of noise coming in the room at all hours. In fairness, the front desk tried to find an alternative but it was not what we were looking for so we opted to stay where we were and made the best of it. Aside from this everything else about the stay was great, a really lovely modern hotel with very friendly and fun staff, great breakfast (though not cheap) and good location on the South Bank. We would definitely stay here again (though ask not to be in this room location). Special mention to breakfast staff who helped get extra fruit for our toddler and concierge who gave him Christmas gifts from the tree... lovely touches.

Everything was very good. Breakfast offers a lot of coice - except warm breakfast is only on Weekends. On the Trip site the check in time is incorrect (ov voucher it says after 12, but it is after 14) - despite us coming too early, they gave us the room and made coffee for free. The hotel is locked over night and the staff is really friendly. We were in the hotel trought the hottest days in history but they prepared a ventilator - because they don't have AC (normally).

Stayed for 3 nights with my mum in 2 rooms, I requested side by side or same floor rooms when I made the booking 3 months ago, however they put mum on ground floor and me in the basement. My mum’s room was terrible, smelt like damp wet carpet, it was tiny, dark and had no airflow. The bathroom was oddly located outside of the room through another door. My room was opposite a large storage space and next to the breakfast room. The noise from guests in neighbouring rooms, breakfast room in the morning, staff going in and out of store room and the constant sound from underground train every few minutes was quite unbearable. Even though I booked the same room type my room was much larger and better configured than the one my mum got. The place was a maze, the room numbering made no sense and we were forever getting lost. Staff were polite but definitely not service professionals and it was obvious that none of them wanted to be there. The only plus was location location location!!

My wife and I had a stay at Mimis recently, and overall, we enjoyed it and would stay there again. However, I suggest doing some research beforehand, as the rooms are quite tiny. Even though we were aware of this before arriving, we were still a bit surprised by just how small they were. Despite this, it didn't negatively impact our experience or spoil our stay. The room and bathroom was nicely decorated. I only have a few minor observations rather than complaints. Upon check-in, we requested a late check-out, but the person at the reception seemed a bit abrupt, as he did with an older couple in front of us who had questions about their room location in the annex and that they hoped to stay in the main building. The pillows provided were not very supportive, as they deflated to almost nothing. If we had stayed for more than one night and asked for extra pillows, they would have been accommodating. Regarding breakfast, we inquired about the options available and were informed that they offered coffee and pastries. Unfortunately, they couldn't provide hot food, which was a bit disappointing. It would have been nice to have the choice of continental-style breakfast with cold meats and other items; we would have been willing to pay for it as we only wanted somthing light. Despite these very small things, they did not affect our overall enjoyment of the stay. We still had a pleasant time, and we are looking forward to returning to Mimis in the future. Location is great!

Plenty of cafes and eateries nearby. The place was clean and the bed was comfy. It was just fine, nothing more than that. Staff at The Waldorf are incredibly attentive to any / all needs. I asked for a later checkout and plates for food early in the morning after a night out and they accommodated that for us. The hotel is placed in a prime location, just a stones throw from Covent Garden and about 28-30 minutes walk from Regent Street. The hotel is only accessible by key card after hours; to ensure guest safety. Amenities in the room included an iron and board, kettle, drinking glasses and coffee / tea cups. The shower had fixed shampoo, conditioner and soap dispensers. The mini bar was fairly priced for central London, but hadn't been cleaned (hence the slightly lower score on cleanliness). The air conditioning dried my throat out throughout the night, but turns off automatically if the window is open, so had to deal with that / just had water next to the bed throughout the night. The downstairs bar had a great atmosphere and boasts a large menu. Great for a late nightcap. Overall the experience was great. Our Queen room cost £179.00 for the night (excluding breakfast). I was offered two forms of upgrades. A larger Queen Room with breakfast included was only an extra £40.00, and a Kings Suite with access to the executive lounge and breakfast was £80.00 extra.
