Not great. This is a very strange setup with the 'suites' managed by the Crowne Plaza up the street which appears to be a hotel that is not in action as a hotel. There is (was) a restaurant at the hotel but that is boarded-up and there is no reception at the suites. The whole place smells damp and is VERY hot with electric panel heaters in the common areas blaring out all the time. We were given a ground floor apartment which overlooked the main road which even with the heating off was boiling. We couldn't open the window because the noise from the road was horrendous - this must be hideous in the summer because there is no A/C. Complained and was moved to a 2-bed at the top at the back which was better but had obvious signs of damp (mould growing in the shower, wallpaper peeling, etc.) No lift, no A/C. The front door lock was broken and the car park is a nightmare with a sheer-drop where building works have not been properly completed. Plus there is no lighting in the car park and a huge container taking up half the space. Shower was pathetic - old-fashioned electric 'power' shower with almost no pressure. Avoid.

My main issue is that there is no sign on the building stating that check-in can only be done at the local Crowne Plaza.

Once arrived at the property the tv wasn’t working which was a let down. I tried to call main desk but no answer. Bed was also dirty.

No air conditioning which they don’t tell you about until you’ve paid; was assigned a basement unit with large window wells only one of which could be access for ventilation. Was clean enough and staff did what they could with what was there. Basically student housing being used as a hotel type room. Four out of 10.

I booked this apartment for 4 of us to stay. Two in the double bed, two on the sofa bed; to have somewhere nice to get ready for a wedding. The door to our room had multiple holes in it with sellotape to cover the holes; one being kicked through at the bottom. The sink flooded in the bathroom and the shower didn’t regulate temperature literally boiling hot or freezing cold; someone from my party was badly scolded by the hot water. We had multiple stains everywhere, on the sofa, the beds, the bedding, the spare bedding, the curtains, the table, the kitchen worktops. What is worst of all was a blood stain under the sofa bed and an ecstasy pill fell out of the sofa bed next to the blood stain. Not to mention an ever lasting rave which seemed to go on all evening outside of our window to our room and a plug next to the bed which wouldn’t allow for us to plug our chargers in and even started sparking next to my partners head when in use. An absolutely awful place to stay! I have spoken to their receptionist and manager a number of times and they keep telling us that they understand our issue, and we should be compensated and then avoid the calls moving forward or continue to put us off for “24 hours” which turns out to be a few days or a week at a time. This is an extremely frustrating process and I would advice to steer clear of this place.

Property was clean and a nice size. Ample room for a family of 5
