Stayed one night - bank holiday Sunday in a Club double room with full English buffet breakfast and a drinks voucher each included. We stayed in room 511 which seemed slightly more spacious than other rooms of this type however only had a partial river view due to being at the end of the corridor. On booking we had requested to have additional pillows for the bed and this was done for our arrival. A very good overnight stay in a hotel located within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants on the quayside. Will be a returning guest .

Staff at the front desk were really friendly. Given cookies at check in and sent off to sleep as we had a 3am wake up. Good hotel to stay at for Newcastle Airport, we rewuested a quiet room away from others as door slamming wakes us, and unfortunately the guests next to us (headboard side) kept going in and out of their room which shook the bed. So we didnt really sleep. However, this is more an issue with them than the hotel. The were really giving it some whammy.

Staff member who checked us in was lovely and very helpful. Slight issue with the shower being way too hot, but had a bath tub too. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed for a weekend while visiting the area. Really great hotel. Rooms are modern and comfy. Breakfast was very tasty and great selection. Staff friendly. 10 minutes walk to the metro station to get into Newcastle or to the airport. Toby carvery next door for a nice meal. Shops and supermarkets as well as the usual fast foods a couple of minutes walk. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located near the train station, quiet in the bustling city, but not far from the commercial district. You can reach the main attractions in a dozen minutes' walk. It was a surprise that you can reach the Tyne River by walking down the stairs on the left. The scenery is beautiful. The room is bigger than expected, with a stove so you can cook something yourself. It was unexpected that the bathroom has floor heating. In short, it was a good experience.

Hotel is located conveniently next to the river. We had received a very warm welcome by the hotel staff. The room is fully equipped with basic cooking amenities. Just wish to give our special gratitude to the guy welcoming at the front desk, he has granted us everything we need and is super caring to guests. very good! When I first entered, I walked to the restaurant because it was raining. She was very considerate and sent my luggage and me to the front desk. The lady at the front desk was also very approachable. Many people didn't understand me when I first arrived and the card couldn't be used. She was very considerate and gave guidance. The hygiene is good, the bedding is clean, it's a few minutes away from the airport, and the subway station is nearby, which is very convenient!

Absolute brilliant hotel, staff so friendly and welcoming, can I just say, paul on reception was an absolute legend, as I rang up in the morning to request an early check-in as we arrived after 12 and check-in wasn't untill 3, but paul put a lock on our room, so it was ready for us when we arrived, give that man a raise. Perfect location and comfortable rooms, will deffo recommend, and if im visiting Newcastle again, I think this hotel will be my first choice, depending on price. A really lovely place. Made better by the pleasant and helpful staff. I rang ahead to ask about parking as I was attending an event and the person who answered the phone couldn’t have been more brilliant. This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I’ll probably continue to now, having been coming up to Newcastle for 10+ years to visit friends this is probably the most pleasant and well priced place I have stayed in. I really recommend this place. I much preferred staying on the side of the road to where you check in though which would be my only point for the next time I come up.

The staff was super kind and helpful! They helped us check-in early and ALSO check-out later with no issue whatsoever! We also had an issue with the electricity in our room and, after explaining them the situation, they very promptly gave us another room so we could get ready for our event! Not only, in the end there was no need for another room because they rapidly fixed the issue! Would 100% recommend! The location was also great for both short Uber trips and short walking based on what you prefer/need!

Everything was great for our recent one night stay but the breakfast option for my wife was not really satisfactory. I had cooked breakfast and all was good but my wife opted for some fruit and it was very limited with what was presented. We were down in the restaurant from 8am so quite early so one would expect at that time that there were sufficient food items available but when she enquired with a restaurant member she was told there was unfortunately no item/s that she required as it had been used up. Not the person's fault who told my wife that as she enquired for us with kitchen staff and was very apologetic about it but not really satisfactory for a food item not to be available for a restaurant associated with Leonardo Hotel and really should have capacity for paying guests when making reasonable requests. We came to Newcastle for our kid’s graduation and The hotel is very conveniently located. We booked 2 room on the 3rd floor street wise. The double room ie very quiet and spacious enough:. We got confused with the cleaning service as sometimes the mugs had not been cleaned and replaced by two new. One day I requested the room to be cleaned in the morning but by the time we came bac at 3:00 pm the room was just about to be cleaned, which was inconvenient for us. It would be great if the room was equipped with black out curtains as we got early morning light that woke us up. However , all in all a positive experience with friendly reception staff

The room was nice and the breakfast was very good. The hotel is located close to the river, and it was very enjoyable to sit by the window of the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The room refrigerator provides free drinks, which is very friendly to guests. The only downside is that the hotel parking space is too small, and cars that arrive late can only park outside the hotel. The hotel restaurant serves Italian food. To be honest, the quality is average. If it is not for the good view, you don't have to eat in the hotel.

The location is perfect just little more than 5 min from NewCastle Station. The Breakfast buffet is perfect English Breakfast I had in recent times. Grainger Hotel is a nice hotel at all. The room is neat and the counter is very helpful. There is a supermarket nearby so that you can get everything you need. It would be a 30-minute walk from station to hotel and you need to walk up some gradient. The streets may be dirty so don't put bags on the ground.
