4 The Old Edwardian is a penthouse apartment in one of Newquay's finest locations. Overlooking Towan Beach it boasts spectacular sea views from the lounge and upstairs bedroom windows and is in a great central location.The apartment is spacious and light and has been tastefully designed to a high specification including solid oak floors, granite worktops in the kitchen, a walk in wardrobe in the master bedroom and fitted wardrobes in the other two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms to all bedrooms which add that touch of luxury. 4 The Old Edwardian is a duplex apartment split over the 2nd and 3rd floors with parking for one car at the rear of the property. The property is accessed via 3 flights of stairs and the climb is well worth the effort.When the surf is up watching the surfers and swimmers from the apartment windows is a magical experience and if you want to join in the surfing or swimming you can make your way down to the beach. Towan beach is accessed from steps down from the green and when the tide is out you can walk across to Newquay Harbour and watch the fisherman unload the boats or buy fresh seafood. The beach can also be reached from a set of steps immediately in front of The Old Edwardian.The penthouse apartment has an amazing view of the Island House. Island House has some very interesting history and was sold by Lord and Lady Long in 2012. Lord Long was a government whip in the Lords from l979 leaving in 1997 when John Major was defeated. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes, was also a frequent visitor to the island house.As the day comes to a close the evening the sunsets are wonderful to watch from the apartment and as the night draws in the sunset is followed by an amazing view of the town lights with far reaching view to the Headland Hotel.There are many things do do within the surrounding area, surfing, Hidden Gem guided tours, Newquay Coasteering Adventures, Hot Air Balloon Flight, Blue Reef Aquarium, Coastal Walks with dramatic cliffs, Newquay Zoo and much much more. A lovely studio apartment with everything you could need for a short break away to Newquay.The apartment is pet friendly and just minuets walk to the closest beach and the beautiful harbour where you can either go for a nice meal or just to look at the views over the ocean. The studio is right in the centre of Newquay and within walking distance to a large amount of lovely cafes, beaches, bars and restaurants for you to choose fromThere is no parking on site however there is on road parking around however there is a chance you will not get a space throughout your stay. There is also a pay and display 50Metres from the apartment for you to park your car. The hotel is ok, old but trying to keep up, it’s at a very good location, many shops and restaurants around. Everything is just walking distance both Towan Beach and Great Western Beach. If you need a public laundry there is also one very close about 4 minutes. In my opinion I think the management should really try to upgrade their facilities because it’s really old, nevertheless it was a great stay.

Very well surprised with the room, amenities and service. Free parking across the road, many places to eat I asked the lady at the reception - Jayne to give me some suggestions re type of food I prefer and she did her best to provide me with the best options. Can say a big Thank you Jayne for your help and positive and warm attitude! Definitely can raise the thumbs 👍👍 up to this hotel.

Reception staff were lovely, all very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was clean and welcoming but limited menu for dinner so ate elsewhere. Stairs had steel back plates all the way up which were very dirty and look like they had been splashed, the stair and landing carpet was very badly stained in places which let the hotel down really.

All very good nice hotel very good location clean apart from the seagulls on the roof outside the bedroom window they had babies making a noise and there was no way to park. I had to pay in a car park opposite Hotel is lovely and the staff are great.

A well-priced convenient stopover location prior to carching a Newquay plane. Very friendly check-in with John. Small but clean room with kettle and en suite. car park at rear. Building not attractive and access to room was up two flights of very narrow stairs (no lift). No breakfast before 8 am. Communal Kitchan area and living room with fridge,ice and billiard table.
