There was a double booking on our booked apartment but the customer service offered us another similar property which was cozy and clean. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was big and clean. We had a good night sleep in a stormy weather outside. Location was central. There was £100 online payment of deposit before sharing the self-check details, which has not been returned yet. I hope, it will be resolved soon.

This property is in the heart of downtown Swindon. A Salvation Army shares the building so there were always people hangin out in front. Never felt unsafe, just a bit seedy. Great location in the heart of downtown. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants. Room was clean and did the job. Can't really complain for the price.

Nice clean hotel. Parking was full but you can use the whalebridge multi story car park a 3 minute walk away, it was free on my visit due to Internet issues I believe so saved another few pounds. Do not use spring gardens muti story next to the hotel, it's not overnight parking I was told by the hotel . 👍

I would rate this hotel as only average. There are some positives, such as, the breakfast which was very tasty and hot, the comfort of the bed, the shower was powerful and hot and the TV, which allowed me to watch programmes that I wanted. However, the negatives are not so good. These include: - 1. When I booked, I saw nothing mentioned of how the elevator did not operate from lower ground (LG) to upper ground (UG). The only means of getting to the reception, which is on the UG level is by climbing 12 steps. This was totally unacceptable as two of my party are elderly, very frail and have extreme difficulties in ascending and descending stairs. Had we have been advised prior to booking, I am certain we wouldn't have booked. 2. The gentlemen's toilet in the reception has an awful odour as you enter it. 3. On to our designated rooms. We stayed in rooms 527 & 523 (second party). With 527, the air conditioning does not operate and on entry to the room it was particularly stuffy and hot. Moreso, as a safety precaution, and because it is a high level floor, it is not possible to open the windows to allow airing of the room. This just accentuated the discomfort as the room was too warm. The toilet flush pressure was poor and flushed too short. I should leave that to ones imagination. In 523, the hairdryer does not work. 4. One annoying issue; which was not only experienced by us, but also by the patron of room 511; was after we had finished our breakfast and returned to our rooms, none of us could enter due to the key cards being disabled. This was at 1040, and we were prior advised that check out was at 1100. This was corrected by Tracey, who was apologetic and very nice to deal with (which is another positive, of course). All in all, my memory of this stay, which was only for 20 hours, will not be the best experience of a hotel stay that I've ever had, and unless they can correct the negatives very soon, I am sorry to say that I would not recommend to family or friends to stay here.

”Our stay at DoubleTree Hotel was pleasant and comfortable. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and well-maintained, with all the necessary amenities provided. We especially appreciated the warm cookies upon arrival, a nice touch that added to the welcoming atmosphere. While the decor may be somewhat dated, it didn't detract from our overall experience. The location was convenient, with easy access to transportation and nearby attractions. Overall, DoubleTree Hotel provided us with a satisfactory stay and good value for the price.”

ALCON, I was very happy with my stay, during check- in staff was very friendly and answered all my questions. The room was very clean and nice only small problem is that rooms are not set up for the powering up of cell-phones, Recommend the desk provide attachments so that tourist can keep there phones powered up. During my 12 days stayed at four other similiar locations, your facility was the only one without adapters for cell phone charge. Your food downstairs was great especially enjoyed the fish and chips. All in all a great stay I will DE finitely be returning very much enjoyed my stay with you,

This hotel has got high standards on cleanliness and service consistently. On a bitterly cold weekend the room was warm throughout. In fact very comfortable bed and no need for extra blanket. 2 small issues. The pillows were a bit lumpy but fine and the restarant did not serve evening meals to our liking but overall outstanding !!! Cannot wait to return.

The hotel is located on a business park with few shos or other local amenities for visitors. The staff were courteous and attentive. Although clean and reasonably comfortable, my room needed some renovation, especially in the bathroom where the floor looked old and stained, and the cabinet under the basin needed repair. I was on a tight schedule and did not stay for breakfast.

My family and I stayed in 2 rooms which inc a dinner package. We had a very warm lovely welcome by the receptionist who was extremely helpful. Our room was not as clean as we would have expected which was a shame but it was nice to have a room with 2 double beds. The handle on one of the bathroom doors was faulty so we had to leave it open when using the bathroom. We had booked the dinner package and booked our table in advance for 7pm. I understand that they were quite busy that evening but unfortunately we still didn't get our food order taken until 8pm. The kids got their meals soon after but the adult main meals didn't arrive until 9pm. It was a long time for us to wait when our children were getting restless and tired. We also by that point felt it was too late to eat and didn't finish our meals. We did speak to the manager and eventually they did compensate for the long wait so we appreciated that. Breakfast was brilliant lots of choice and good timings for breakfast. The swimming area needs a bit of a refurb. Even though there is lots of space it just needs a bit of TLC and a refresh. Other than the few items mentioned we still had a lovely stay with family The receptionists were exceptional and every understanding. They even spoke to us the following day to apologise about the issue with the dinner. We wouldn't let it stop us from staying there again.

Beautiful and lovely surroundings. A lot to choose from for breakfast. Most of the staff are nice, but there is one guy who is not that nice very rude the way he talks and answering questions. There is two glass in the bathroom which is fine but if you request for a glass to drink in the room they will still bring you the same kind of glasses to you. I think they should have different shapes of glass for different purposes. Also some of their tea cups are too big and is not classy at all.
