Apartments in Del Rio

This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The towels were dirty. I found foundation and lip stick on the hand towels. The bath towels were no longer white. They were gray and very coarse. The sheets were dirty. The pillow was covered in hair and the same hair was on the sheets. The room was hot and muggy when I first walked in since the AC was turned off (as an FYI, the outside temperature was in the mid-80s). The shower was broken. Half flowed from the faucet and the other half from the shower head. The shower head was extremely low. I’m only 5’5” and it cleared my head by about 2 inches. There were mosquitoes in the room. And the ice machine by my room was broken so I had to walk to a different area of the hotel. When I brought the dirty towels and sheets to the attention of the front desk, they did have them changed. But this should not have happened in the first place. When I went to check out and I informed the front desk about the poor conditions of my stay, I was offered only a $20.00 credit which was a slap in the face. I will definitely not stay here again. On a related note, I was traveling with a co-worker and her room had a broken shower that only flowed from the faucet into the tub and her refrigerator was broke. She did inform me that the room was better than her last stay. The previous stay her room was covered in mold.

I am a Hilton Diamond member, so I have been to countless Hampton Inn properties. I highly recommend this location for the following reasons: 1. Clean, comfortable rooms. I even had housekeeping service the second night of my stay without requesting it, which is something that the hotel industry has done away with post-COVID. 2. Friendly, helpful staff. 3. A delicious, well stocked breakfast buffet, with all the types of food typically found at Hampton Inns. 4. I stayed during a season when the days were warm and the nights cold. The air conditioner and heather both worked very well to keep the room comfortable. 5. The location was within walking distance to restaurants, shopping, and is located in a safe and new part of town. I spent two nights at the Hampton Inn Del Rio, and would have liked to have stayed longer!

Good sight, clean and tidy

First, let me acknowledge the awesome service from Haley and Monica at the front desk. Monica was outstanding and helping our elderly grandparents with their room. Haley pretty much covered everything else that we needed. The rest of the staff was just as exceptional. If you’re ever in del Rio, it is a must that you stay at this hotel. I never expected five star service in Del Rio, Texas. But that’s exactly what I received. Thank you the management is staff at the La Quinta hotel in Del Rio Texas.
