It's a clean hostel, centrally located to Hongya cave and the Liberation Monument. They provide more amenities than I've seen in most other hostels. They seem to show a movie every night, and you can join a wechat group with the rest of the guests from the hostel to meet and do things with people. Great value!
Excellent place to stay in Chongqing. Only a few steps away from Lianglukou metro station, so very convenient to move around. The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There are washing machines and a dryer machine to do the laundry, which were very convenient to use and pay with the phone. Definitely staying here again next time!

Positives:
- Location (close to metro station and city center)
- Free drinking water for refilling
- warm shower water
- Shower gel available
- Toilet paper available
- Air conditioning good
- Bed comfortable (but unfortunately a bit small)
- Staff (apart from the cleaner) very helpful
- very clean
- large locker with even a power socket and clothes hangers
- large towel available
- quiet area
- Wifi in order
Negatives:
- would have preferred more toilets
- Cleaning lady was very loud every morning and you couldn't sleep in (why do you have to do it so early?) I find that very disrespectful. Everyone in the dorm didn't like it and she had clearly noticed that several people still wanted to sleep. She didn't care... I've rarely had such incredibly unfriendly staff
Staff were very friendly and let me check in early in the morning after my overnight train. The common area has a nice vibe and is pleasant to hang out in, kind of feels like a cozy cafe.
The soft towel and amenities that came in the locker were greatly appreciated and were replaced daily. Locker itself was also very big, enough for a large suitcase.
Unfortunately not the cleanest - a lot of hair and dust in the floor and under the mattress. My bunk curtain was stained on the inside and would benefit from being washed. Mens bathroom felt similar, I was reluctant to take my slippers off in the shower and although the toilets themselves were cleaned daily, it was just the cubicles that seemed neglected.
Overall a positive stay in a beautiful city, just needs some more attention to the details for cleanliness :)

The staff were very helpful and friendly, they even gave me Ba'cang made by them. Really recommend this hostel for those who would like to solo travelling in Chongqing. Plus, the location is strategic as it is exactly inside mountain city alley area (Sancheng Lane) and only hundreds meter away from Line 2 Metro Station (Jiachangkou Station).

I had an excellent experience staying at Qingyou Hotel during my trip to Chongqing. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the city center and within walking distance to many of the major attractions. It’s also conveniently close to two metro lines, making it easy to get around the city.
The hotel itself is clean, modern, and very well-maintained. It offers great facilities including a small gym, a comfortable dining area, and a laundry space; all of which made my stay more convenient and enjoyable.
What truly made the difference, though, was the staff. The receptionists were consistently helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. I want to give special thanks particularly to Feifei, a kind and attentive young woman who went above and beyond to assist me when I had trouble with my power bank. Her patience and willingness to help made a lasting impression, and her warm attitude added a personal touch that made the hostel feel like home.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Chongqing. Great value, fantastic location, and truly wonderful people.

Happy with my first 3 nights and so much to see in Chonpqing that I extended my stay by 2 nights.
But my return to Shanghai required me to leave by night train and cancel the 5th night.
My review for this 4th night is therefore the same as for the first 3, namely:
I rated this accommodation very highly because at 2 euros a night you can't find better value for money.
A bed to sleep in and hot water for washing. The bare minimum is provided.
Obviously, there are no toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, or disposable slippers.
At this price, you shouldn't hesitate to roll up your sleeves to keep the place clean. You don't have to wait for the cleaning lady to do it.
I appreciated the calm of the young people in the dormitory, busy with their cell phones.
Accommodation on the 18th floor of a building with 29 floors.
The building's door is always open, with a receptionist, but they don't take care of this floor.
When I arrived on the floor, a young man went to find the manager, and everything went well.

A very good youth hostel, highly recommended in Yuzhong, a few hundred meters from Raffles Square, just a little walk up to Xiaoshizi subway station, very centrally located
Full facilities, good environment, you can see the scenery far away on the balcony, Chaotianmen is also very close, Jiefangbei and Xiaoshizi subway station are very close

GGuest UserI had a good stay at Sonderia! I booked a twin room as a solo traveler. The area is close to Wenshu Monastery and takes 10mins to the train station Line 1 but doesn’t feel that far. Bus stops are just in front of the hostel too. The bar area is a great spot to chill at night and meet other tourists.
Nicole at the reception was sooo nice and accommodating!! I was allowed to check out late (2pm instead of 12nn) and she even let me stay at the couch area at the bar so I can rest for an extra hour before my flight. She even bothered to lend me a comforter!! Thank you!! 🤍

AAHMADSHOFIANPERFECT Hostel in Chongqing for Solo Travelers!
This hostel is a gem! Super clean, easy to reach, and just minutes from the main station. Most of the city’s top attractions are nearby or easily accessible by public transport. The staff is friendly, the beds are comfy, and the atmosphere is relaxed — ideal for solo travelers. Highly recommend!

MMoon RockPROS: This hostel's main advantage is its location and cleanliness. It is only one block from the MRT and the main attractions, like Hongya Cave. A man's bedroom has a good city view. The room also has a hot and cold shower, perfect for China’s weather.
CONS: It is hard to locate because no English signs, so you need to decipher and ask people about the address. I wish the owner would include a direction map for foreign tourists. Sometimes, Apple and Chinese Maps are different and inaccurate, so you must compare and check them. Sometimes, the door passcode is not working properly, so you need to chat with the owner to request a new one.
NOTES: The toilet is squat-type, so if you are used to a sitting toilet, this might not be for you. It's kind of self-checkin but you need to scan the QR code in the door because the owner or staff is not staying at the place. So you will chat everything using we chat like passcode request, concerns, and complaints.
