Ctrip's customer service was very considerate and helped me make an appointment for the hotel pick-up. You should know that the hotel is a bit far from the center of the town and the station, especially if you are carrying two large suitcases. The hot spring pool looks clean and the facilities are intact. This time, a total of 2 different room types were booked. There are no bathing facilities in the rooms of the main building, but it is not far from the hot spring. Very convenient. The rooms in the annex are Western-style rooms. It is a bit far from the main building, but you don't have to sleep on tatami, which is convenient for getting up and lying down. What's even better is that there is a hot spring pool in the room, one indoor and one outdoor. If you are a couple or a couple, you don't have to go to the men's and women's hot springs separately. Of course, the hotel also has a private family bath that can be reserved for one hour each time. In general, Kurokawa-so is a relatively niche attraction with only 2-3 buses arriving every day, but it is indeed a hot spring resort. The Manager and staff were amazing and so helpful - Probably the best service we had all trip from 7 different stays. We had the dining experience and not only was the food wonderful, they even change our food when we said we were scared of trying the Horse & Chicken Sashimi. The view from the in-room onsen was brilliant. If you want to be critical then its a 10min walk to the village centre but thats why we choose this Hotel plus we just drove to the village centre - so simple. The observatory's telescope has ２ and it's a little blurred, but I saw the stars explained in the planetarium. The starry sky observation in the grassland was warm in the sleeping bag, and the bonfire and hot drink were delicious. I could see the starry sky as I saw in the planetarium. I was surprised that the room was in the woods but there were no insects at all. The surroundings are rich in nature, and it is a very pleasant place to hear the voices of birds and frogs. The appearance and furniture were cute, and when I fell on the bed, I saw the stars from the skylight. The breakfast was very delicious, despite the suddenness. The water from the tap water is natural water from Aso, and when I take a bath, it smells soft and gentle. Amenities were also available and comfortable. It is a fairy tale nearby, and it is recommended to touch animals.

However, if I come to Kurokawa Onsen in winter to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei (the famous local light festival), I will choose to stay in a hotel near the visitor center, because it takes 8 hours to drive out from Onyuku Nohana to see the Kurokawa Onsen Yumei. The driving time is 30 minutes. Driving on a narrow mountain road is often dangerous when opposing vehicles have to back up to give way to each other.
