Reception Staff: Excellent, speak great English and very helpful.
Entrance Staff: So helpful and kind. When checking-in and out, staff assist with your luggage.
Room: Spacious, exceptionally clean, great view.
Location: Excellent, calmer as not in Georgetown.
If I return to Penang, I will definitely be staying here again.
The sea view from the bedroom and bathroom was absolutely stunning and really captivated me. I also loved the apartment layout. The living room was spacious, and having a large fridge, washing machine, and kitchen was very convenient, even though we didn't use them. The hotel breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the food was good, and the service was excellent. Right next door there's a mall with a 24-hour convenience store and two spa places. The night market and food stalls are within walking distance, and Gurney Plaza isn't too far either; we walked there both evenings for some shopping.
Okay, it's cheap, but the location is actually quite far from Kampung Agong, even though it says it's only 11km on the booking. It took us 1 hour 40 minutes, almost 2 hours!
Our stay at Citadines Connect was fabulous. It was really quiet yet the location was nice and central (near lots of sights and great food places). We were lucky enough to be in block B which faces another building so there was literally no traffic noise and we barely noticed other travellers because of the insulation between rooms. The bathroom was very clean and serviced daily beautifully. The staff helped us a lot when trying to book our next steps of our journey to Ipoh. Finally, the infinity pool was a dream, particularly because we had it all to ourselves! Nothing quite like listening to the call to prayer while floating in a crystalline pool 4 floors you. This hotel was the best - highly recommended.
Super great hotel that is located 1 min walk from Cecil Street Market that offers decent duck soup noodles, chow kuey teow and egg oysters. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and well maintained. There is a mini gym and nice pool too. Highly recommended!
This loft in the city center is relatively decent. It's perfectly located for all the attractions. The airport bus stop is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. There are two large shopping malls nearby. A big thank you to the staff for letting us check in early. The bed linen was soft and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Shampoo and shower gel were provided for free. There's a water cooler (hot/cold) on the floor. The fridge worked great, and there was also a kettle and toaster in the room.
As for the downsides: The cleanliness of the room was so-so – dusty, with a somewhat worn-out renovation, and some noticeable dirt stains in places. The shower only had lukewarm water. There were no face towels. One of the bath towels had a stain. There were ants running around near the fridge, seemingly knowing where the food was, so make sure to put all your food straight into the fridge. I left a biscuit on the table and ants swarmed it. There are no double-glazed windows, and since our room faced the street, we could hear passing cars perfectly. It's tolerable for a night or two, but not for any longer.
Walking distance to plenty of restaurants at Icon City. My room is a very spacious studio with fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding, strong shower and fast wifi. There is also a infinity pool on rooftop. Water dispenser is equipped near the lift. A great place to stay especially for family.
This hotel is perfectly situated between the city and the famous beach. Plenty of food options and shopping malls are right around the corner. Downstairs and in the immediate vicinity, there's a fantastic food court, numerous malls, cafes, and restaurants, offering a huge variety of choices. The food court even features vendors selling authentic local delicacies. I highly recommend this hotel, the scenery is beautiful. Enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee and savor life.
This was an absolutely amazing value for money stay! The room was spacious and comfortable, very clean and safe, with a beautiful, elegant, and quiet environment. The reception staff were Chinese, very warm and generous, and were able to accurately recommend tour options and solve problems for guests. The Malaysian staff member who served us was also very proactive and even brought us a simple Western breakfast. Miami Beach is nearby, but I'd recommend taking a Grab for 7 MYR to Batu Ferringhi Beach instead – it's livelier, with better services, and you can sunbathe, enjoy delicious food, watch firework displays, and the sunset is truly stunning. Of course, since it's a villa garden hotel nestled on a hillside, it would have been even better if the shower water was hotter. Overall, I'm very satisfied, it's great value for money, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time.

It's OK, cost-effective, and a good place to stay. It's very nice. The owner is good, not bad, and suitable for a budget-friendly trip!
Although the photos and reality were different, the window-less rooms were still adequate for comfortable staying. We stayed for 3 nights in a level 4 deluxe double room and level 3 double room, all ensuite with bathrooms. Due to the lack of exhaust fans and windows, the internal bathrooms can cause dampness and a smell but that was ok for us. A pet friendly Guesthouse (many of our neighbours had dogs but they were very quiet and well managed). Now managed by 3 service staffs who do everything. A retro but working games machine at the ground floor was a delight for my kids. Free laundry & dryer and a simple fitness corner are useful amenities. The highlight is actually the location of this guesthouse - within walking distance, there are numerous dim sum outlets, night time street foods, noodles shop, bakery and a sports bar just across the road. Will stay again, anytime, for my next visit.
