Booked a 3 night stay at Queen Hotel in Chester and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful decor throughout the hotel and the room was perfect. Didnt dine at the restaurant but ordered 2 bar meals which the food was plentiful and delicious with an excellent choice. Room service was excellent too as we ordered drinks to the room and also some sandwiches and soup. The breakfast was excellent too. All staff I spoke with were courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I will certainly be booking this hotel again for my next visit to Chester.
Was a fab stay from start to finish. Staff were very warm and welcoming , nothing was too much trouble.
The bar and sitting area by reception is spacious.
Rooms are roomy and very clean. Room are high quality and spa which you use with stay is Amazing.
Was a lovely relaxing break and will definitely be staying again 🤗
Lovely smart renovations, however, the soap dispenser fell off the wall, and you could see the builders cut corners and hadn’t used the right wall plugs etc
But lovely hotel
Honestly, all it provided me was a simple room to stay for the night which is all I needed, the fact that it also has a smart TV with YouTube in it is also a huge bonus so thanks everyone, plus the luggage scale there also done me some favours as well.
For a normal size breakfast you had to pay extra, the heating was broken in the spa so it was quite cold. The hotel did look a bit tatty in places. Service was lacking, always had to chase the staff members. Lovely building and good location.
Stayed on 20 June 2025
I chose this place because I was looking for somewhere different to the typical hotels and BnBs during my Europe trip. I was more mobile with a rented car. The photos in the booking website did not do it justice as it gave a “******* castle” vibe but in reality is lovely and bright. In addition, the relatively low price and limited time to book.
I am puzzled that it's ratings did not exceed 4 stars as it exceeded my expectations. The staff were warm, kind, and prompt. Breakfast was excellent, with the amazing view from the room, overlooking a meadow with grazing sheep.
An added bonus: it’s located along the Grindstone Path, making it a perfect and convenient spot for hiking enthusiasts.

BBeccy’s travels**Hotel Review: Crewe Hall Hotel and Spa, Cheshire**
As a solo traveler with my beloved sausage dog, Stanley, I recently had the opportunity to stay at Crewe Hall Hotel and Spa for one night. Here’s my experience:
**Location:**
The location of the hotel is absolutely excellent. Nestled in beautiful grounds, it provides a serene backdrop for relaxation and exploration. The picturesque setting truly enhances the overall experience.
**Arrival and Service:**
Unfortunately, my arrival experience was somewhat disappointing. The service upon check-in felt slow and not particularly welcoming. There was no offer of assistance with my luggage or guidance on where I could take Stanley, which left me feeling a bit lost. I expected a more hospitable reception, especially given the hotel’s reputation.
**Room Quality:**
On a positive note, the room was clean and well-appointed, featuring a lovely spacious bathroom that included a plush robe and complimentary toiletries such as shampoo and soap. I appreciated the mini bar, which had complimentary water, adding a nice touch to my stay.
**Room Service:**
One downside was the room service hours, which ended at 10 PM. I arrived at 8:15 PM and was informed of this limitation, which felt a bit early for a hotel of this caliber. It would have been nice to have more flexible dining options during my stay.
**Dining:**
The hotel itself is stunning, and the grounds are a joy to explore. I had breakfast at the brasserie restaurant, where the attentive staff made a significant difference. The breakfast was wonderful, with a variety of delicious options that set a positive tone for my day.
**Overall Impression:**
While my stay had its ups and downs, the beautiful setting and the quality of the accommodations were highlights. I hope that the service experience can be improved for future guests, as that would truly elevate the stay. I would consider returning, especially for the lovely grounds and excellent breakfast, but I would hope for a more welcoming atmosphere next time.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the center of STOCKTON HEATH, and there are 3 supermarkets within 2mins.
The landlord PAUL's breakfast was really made with heart and super delicious. The room is simple, the view outside the top window is first-class, and the overall price is very high.
GGuest UserOld hotel but well maintained in good location
Very friendly staff eliminated the fatigue of long trip
Thank you for the female staff who kindly helped me check in
