"I stayed at Meworld Hotel Taipei Main Station primarily for its excellent location. It's only a few minutes' walk from Taipei Main Station, making it incredibly convenient for getting around the city or taking trains to other destinations. The room itself was reasonably clean and comfortable, but the hallways and common areas were a different story. They looked quite worn, with stained carpets and an unpleasant smell, which left a poor first impression. The hotel occupies the 7th and 8th floors of a commercial building. One concern I had was that the elevators are shared with the rest of the building and are not restricted to hotel guests, so security didn't feel as reassuring as it could be. The staff were generally helpful whenever assistance was needed, although they weren't particularly warm or welcoming. On the plus side, having complimentary washers and dryers on the same floor was very convenient for travelers. Overall, this hotel is a practical choice if your priority is location and value, but improvements to the common areas and guest security would greatly enhance the overall experience."

"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"the hotel is very decent but it is a self service hotel so no active service, you have to find the staff by yourself. but everything's are fine the only bug we have is the card is in the middle of the machine. but the staff fixed it very quick"

"The location is good, within walking distance to a large shopping mall, but it fell a bit below my expectations. If it were 200-300 a night, it would be acceptable, but on the weekend, it was over 600. The hygiene was just average, and many facilities were old and outdated. It didn't feel like a brand new hotel opened in 2024, more like a renovated one. The hygiene definitely needs to be improved or completely overhauled."
