Worth it for its price. The location is super near the Ximending Walking District and other nearby convenience stores (711, Family Mart). It’s also near to the famous places like The Red House, etc. Easy access to MRT.
For the room, we booked a standard double room, requested for a windowed room &
bathtub since we have an infant so it’s easy for us to take a bath, and our request was granted. They also have housekeeping everyday to replenish tissue and change towels (also beddings if you wanted to have them changed, but they support ecological cleanliness, so ideally, they just change sheets after your entire stay for the new guest/s).
For the ambiance, it was ok, too. Simple. The only con that I experienced during our stay was- that the soundproofing isn’t good. You can hear the water drops from another room’s CR and heavy footsteps from above.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Will still recommend it if you’re not too picky and sensitive and wanted to stay on a budget. 👍🏻

I've been here many times, always choosing to come during the off-season before Chinese New Year. Both breakfast and dinner are great, and the hotel rooms have been renovated. It's a shame the macaw from before is gone. The beautiful scenery of Xiaowan Beach remains as stunning as ever.
My first reaction when I opened the door was that this was not the room type I booked. I don't know who made the mistake, there are 22 photos on the official website, and the room type I stayed in appeared in the 6th one. I thought I was attracted by the first five photos and made the reservation. If I had stayed in this room type, I would never have made a reservation. Compared with other booking websites, I feel even worse. I think I must be ignorant. A sea view room should have a sea view from inside the room, right? Instead of walking out to the balcony to look at the sea. Anyway, it helps you increase your knowledge. If it weren't for such a bad experience, I would still recommend it to travelers who want to enjoy the quietness of birdsong and flowers.

Good location. No lifts so it's a bit if a hassle to carry your luggage up. Luckily they have a landing on the first floor to store your luggage so you don't have to carry everything upstairs to your room if you don't want to.

We stayed 5 days in Taichung for our pre-wedding shoot, and the location couldn’t be more convenient. Just a 10-minute walk to Wernar Wedding, and everything else we wanted to explore was nearby. Morning strolls to Third Market for breakfast, a sweet stop at Miyahara for ice cream, a fun baking session at the Sun Cake Museum, and night walks to Yizhong Market for food. Loved how walkable everything was!
The only bad thing is that there is not enough space to open luggage.

The location is very convenient with the Simen MRT just a short walk away. It's good if one plans to use the MRT frequently. It's easy to walk around the whole Simending area from the hotel. Did not try any food at the hotel as one is spoilt for choice in terms of food from the Ximending area.
The air-conditioner was not working properly from the first day, as it was very warm and couldn't be adjusted. Called for someone to take a look and was told they would come immediately. Waited but no one came. Called again and was told they would come by later. We were going out and they reassured us that their service staff would come by accompanied by another staff. Shortly after the call, the service staff arrived, unaccompanied. It was just as well we had not left.
The room is big but the design has not been well thought out. The sink is located outside the bathroom. Its design (low sink) and mirror behind means, when one uses it to wash face etc water is splashed around and the floor gets wet. However, the hotel does not provide any more towels other than those given so one has to move the floor towel(mat) between the bathroom and the sink outside.
The lighting system is also not very convenient. We had 2 double beds but there was no way to control the lighting so that if one party wanted to sleep, the other party could read.
The TV system (with the box hidden behind the TV itself) frequently had signal issues. It was common to be unable to change the channel or the signage No signal would appear frequently either early in the morning or late at night.
We also had a bathroom where the floor just in front of the WC had a slight damage in the form of a black patch which however looked very unsightly. It would have been good if the hotel had done something to make it look better as it left a poor impression.
We had requested for a quiet room. Unfortunately, almost every night/morning there were people talking loudly or kids shouting.
Overall, if one does not plan to spend time in the bathroom, it would be a good choice just for the location and convenience.

It was alright for a short stay, and the price was reasonable. However, the overall space and cleanliness are subjective. The good thing was that the air conditioning was very cold. But what's strange is that there were no desks or chairs, so it shouldn't be considered a business hotel.
The price is not cheap, but the location is good, the service is good, and the food is delicious. The only thing I can complain about is that the hotel is a bit on a slope and there is no elevator, which may be a bit inconvenient for middle-aged and elderly people or people with disabilities, but it is no problem for young people. Overall it's a very good hotel!
The hotel offered a very comfortable and spacious room. The hotel very well designed and have a cool feel. The third floor common area which shared with the hostel offer a great free coffee and tea. The space is very comfortable and relax. There's a lot eatery around and a famous crepe which sell in the evening from 6 pm to 11 pm

JJoey95I recently stayed at this hotel and had a generally pleasant experience. The location was very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore nearby attractions. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the overall environment felt comfortable and relaxing.
One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast—it was really nice, with a good variety of options and quality food to start the day. The staff were also friendly and helpful, always willing to assist when needed, which made the stay smoother. Check-in and check-out processes were efficient as well.
Overall, I would consider staying here again and would recommend it to others looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

KKoJustinThis is a very unique hotel that is located in the Tofu Cape of Suao. It is the only hotel in the area as far as I know. It has an unparalelled view of the ocean and the cape that is also basically unobstructed. The room itself is also quite large with windows alll around. Bed was comfortable, service good, breakfast also surprisingly good, both western and CHinese styles. They also have a mini golf area that is overlooking the ocean. hotel is pretty quiet and peaceful. Even though thats baiscally the only ”amenity” or facility they have, its still a good place to relax and watch the sunrise or sunset. nearby there is a cafe kind of place that serves some light meals. overall is a great choice and best advised to go on a nice day if you can. Not cheap but i think still overall good value considering how unique it is. Many nice hotels in taipei dont have much of a view honestly so I think i would rather a place like this.
GGuest UserThe B&B has an excellent location. You can walk to the train station, and there are tons of must-try eateries nearby, so you'll have no problem finding great food. The owners are super enthusiastic and gave me fantastic recommendations for sightseeing routes. They're always happy to answer any questions clearly. The breakfast changes daily, and I highly recommend option number one – it's delicious! The soundproofing in the room is also good, and overall, it's very clean and comfortable.
DDessyxsIt is such a perfect spot with wonderful staff. They are dedicated to make your stay a memorable one. The food was amazing. They even give you gifts and will if you are tired, they will make sure you have a nice dinner on the house. I would recommend this place to everyone that comes to Hualein. The owner is so committed and kind. He would gladly offer rides to and from the train station and help you with anything you need. Perfect stay. Clean as well. Just wonderful and outstanding!
GGuest UserThe room was good and spotlessly clean. The complimentary welcome fruit and snacks were a really nice touch!
The lady at the morning front desk provided exceptional service; she was incredibly friendly and helpful – a huge bonus! Breakfast was incredibly lavish and a definite highlight. What truly impressed me was how spotlessly clean the restaurant's toaster and all the utensils were – another big plus! Our dining experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
Since it was a weekday, the soundproofing seemed quite effective; we didn't experience any noise issues at all. We would definitely stay here again!

EEng KeatGreat hotel with an excellent view. I spent the whole night drinking with stunning view. The service from the crew is friendly and attentive. Nothing to complain about.
AAlan & Rendy WongWe booked two rooms, one large family room and one couple room. The prior one is spacious, very well designed and it even has an amazing sauna room which was a nice touch to the stay. The kids had loads of fun and laughter. The beds are huge so it can easily fit 4 and maybe even 5 for younger kids. The later is a bit worn down with wallpaper coming off, stains around the tub and just an overall worn down feel to it. So if you can afford a few hundred NT$ more, I would suggest staying at the bigger room to enjoy a good full stay. Breakfast is delicious 😋
GGuest UserGlad to have booked the seaview room. The view didn't disappoint! The room itself was spacious, with a nice little balcony. And water pressure for the shower was great!
Breakfast was served in a cute little basket, which you could bring up to the room or to eat at the lobby with their 2 cats and their friendly dog, Banana.
The host was super helpful to help us book transport though he was rushing to go out.
A very good experience overall.
