I've been here many times, always choosing to come during the off-season before Chinese New Year. Both breakfast and dinner are great, and the hotel rooms have been renovated. It's a shame the macaw from before is gone. The beautiful scenery of Xiaowan Beach remains as stunning as ever.

Perfect stay in Room 203 on the 2nd floor, overlooking the road to the lively Ximending night market. The room was clean, comfortable, and felt very secure. The receptionist was friendly and helpful, and housekeeping cleaned the room daily. Excellent location with easy access to the main train station and plenty of eateries nearby. Highly recommended.

Nice high end hotel with wow factor for the room, but that is where it ends sadly. Very smooth check-in with Alan, who is very friendly and helpful, and full credits to him for impeccable service. Unfortunately, the service standards of the rest are not the same. Reception appears rather nonchalant, and towel in the room was stained with brown substance. Request for delayed checkout by an hour as the child felt unwell was rejected followed by a request for additional charges. Grateful for 30min being granted eventually. Location of the hotel is good, with many nice restaurants nearby and other than the stained towel, room was really nice. In a nutshell, it carries the vibe of one of those big premium hotels where customers should just feel honoured to be staying and not expecting any quality service, which is a real pity and does not do the nice hotel any justice. Hopefully the service will improve going forward.
The hotel's decor and design style are beautiful, and the space is very spacious. The rooms are also comfortable. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, and the breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options. I was very satisfied with this stay and highly recommend it!

Such a beautiful and luxurious hotel/hostel! It’s so affordable and I loved all sorts of travelers would gather there, from bike packers to city and local people. For the price, having a double bed with ensuite was real luxury, too! I was a bit worried about the shower which some people had complained about but it was all perfectly fine and smartly designed so even your toilet paper would stay water safe! And you can always ask for extra towels to wipe around the shower. Also, If you’re considering a longer stay - the kitchen is fully equipped with the best appliances!
I was very satisfied with this hot spring hotel trip. After living in Taiwan for so long, this was my first time experiencing a hot spring with such a rich iron content. The room had a great view, though it was a bit low this time. I think the view would be even better if I could have booked a higher floor. The staff were friendly and the overall facilities were excellent. This stay left me with a wonderful memory.

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Wonderful staff! Whether it's the concierge employees at level 1, or the check-in staff at level 20, or the breakfast staff, everyone is polite and helpful. Fantastic service and facilities. Breakfast is amazing. Everything is perfect, and I strongly encourage visitors to Kaohsiung to stay at H2O hotel!
I live in Taoyuan, but since many family members were visiting from the north, I booked three rooms for them. We went to the hotel to chat and catch up, planning to leave later. However, the hotel stated that any visitor staying over 30 minutes would be charged TWD 600 per person. I really don't understand this; it's completely inflexible. We've never had this issue at other hotels before. My family traveled a long way to stay here, and it was our first time choosing this place, but I was told I could only stay for 30 minutes before having to leave. I was shocked and definitely won't consider staying here again in the future.

My first reaction when I opened the door was that this was not the room type I booked. I don't know who made the mistake, there are 22 photos on the official website, and the room type I stayed in appeared in the 6th one. I thought I was attracted by the first five photos and made the reservation. If I had stayed in this room type, I would never have made a reservation. Compared with other booking websites, I feel even worse. I think I must be ignorant. A sea view room should have a sea view from inside the room, right? Instead of walking out to the balcony to look at the sea. Anyway, it helps you increase your knowledge. If it weren't for such a bad experience, I would still recommend it to travelers who want to enjoy the quietness of birdsong and flowers.

AAnonymous UserI was upgraded to a mountain-view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful view. However, the weather wasn't great, and the wind was quite loud, so the soundproofing wasn't very good; conversations in the room could be clearly heard from the hallway. The TV had a volume limit, which I found a bit too low, but I can understand why the hotel might limit it due to the poor soundproofing. The room amenities were plentiful, with wine glasses and a wine opener, which was a nice bonus, and all the glasses were very clean. The room also had heating. The parking lot was conveniently located right next to the hotel, and the hotel itself was just up the stairs across from the old street. This was my second stay, and I'm still satisfied.
KKoJustinThis is a very unique hotel that is located in the Tofu Cape of Suao. It is the only hotel in the area as far as I know. It has an unparalelled view of the ocean and the cape that is also basically unobstructed. The room itself is also quite large with windows alll around. Bed was comfortable, service good, breakfast also surprisingly good, both western and CHinese styles. They also have a mini golf area that is overlooking the ocean. hotel is pretty quiet and peaceful. Even though thats baiscally the only ”amenity” or facility they have, its still a good place to relax and watch the sunrise or sunset. nearby there is a cafe kind of place that serves some light meals. overall is a great choice and best advised to go on a nice day if you can. Not cheap but i think still overall good value considering how unique it is. Many nice hotels in taipei dont have much of a view honestly so I think i would rather a place like this.
AAihkThis hotel is surrounded by many nice local restaurants and shops - I especially loved the wet market ”You-Ai Market” next to hotel, where local people buy vegetables and seafood, ready-to-go traditional foods. Some stalls were also run by young locals offering hand-dripped coffee, crepes, tapas, cocktails etc. It's a place you can have mixed food culture.
Our twin room was specious and clean. I stayed with friends as a group trip & we enjoyed going to 3/F free guest lounge. They have a fully equipped kitchen & large terrace you can use any time to relax. Highly recommended hotel.
MM486579****The B&B has an excellent location. You can walk to the train station, and there are tons of must-try eateries nearby, so you'll have no problem finding great food. The owners are super enthusiastic and gave me fantastic recommendations for sightseeing routes. They're always happy to answer any questions clearly. The breakfast changes daily, and I highly recommend option number one – it's delicious! The soundproofing in the room is also good, and overall, it's very clean and comfortable.
GGuest UserThis is an amazing place to stay for all traveler types. You can travel here solo or with family/friends. Upon arrival, I was checked into my room. Jimmy (the owner) gave a warm welcome along with a gift. The room was comfortable and clean. It even had a balcony where you can sit and overlook the whole city. Jimmy and his staff are very kind. They provided excellent service, and the breakfast was tasty and nutritious. The city doesn’t have the best transportation, but Jimmy was kind enough to drive me into the city and pick me up whenever I was finished. When I checked out, I was given a box of tea—a wonderful gift for the upcoming Chinese New Year. All in all, I would rate this place a 12/10. It’s not only a place to stay, but it made me feel right at home. The plus side is the cute dog, Ao Hua. She is friendly and playful.
GGuest UserThe room was good and spotlessly clean. The complimentary welcome fruit and snacks were a really nice touch!
The lady at the morning front desk provided exceptional service; she was incredibly friendly and helpful – a huge bonus! Breakfast was incredibly lavish and a definite highlight. What truly impressed me was how spotlessly clean the restaurant's toaster and all the utensils were – another big plus! Our dining experience was thoroughly enjoyable.
Since it was a weekday, the soundproofing seemed quite effective; we didn't experience any noise issues at all. We would definitely stay here again!
GGuest UserVery clean and hygienic! All the facilities are new~ The room is also super big and spacious~ The internet TV is great too! The bathtub is also very comfortable! It was my first time in Tainan, and being able to stay in such a room made me feel really happy~ I would definitely stay here again next time!
GGuest UserGlad to have booked the seaview room. The view didn't disappoint! The room itself was spacious, with a nice little balcony. And water pressure for the shower was great!
Breakfast was served in a cute little basket, which you could bring up to the room or to eat at the lobby with their 2 cats and their friendly dog, Banana.
The host was super helpful to help us book transport though he was rushing to go out.
A very good experience overall.
GGuest UserDo not choose the room with breakfast since is not a buffet where you can choose or a la carte, the will bring you something to the room, whatever is on the day, you like it or not, so for the price of the breakfast you can buy anything you like out or even order in Uber or food panda.
The place is good to chill for 2 days, because each room has a pool and a jacuzzi, the room smells a lot like pool water, has 7-11 and supermarket around but is rally far from the city center.
GGuest User1. The sound insulation is very poor. You can clearly hear people talking in the corridor outside, so people outside the room can also hear people talking in the room. People in other rooms can also hear the sound of bathing water. This is true. There is no way to accept it!
2. I feel that the bathroom and toilet do not need to be so big. They are compressed into the space of the entire room (bathroom: room = 1:1), so there is not enough space for luggage and items. Although the bathroom and toilet seem to have dry and wet separation, there is no Doors or curtains can be used to separate the area, causing the water from the shower head to splash onto the floor in the toilet and sink area. I hope this can be improved, otherwise the entire floor will be wet and there is a risk of slipping. But having a flush toilet is a plus.
3. Although there are windows in the room and toilet, the windows open into a super narrow fire lane with scaffolding (maybe the building next door is under construction?), resulting in no natural lighting in the room. It is a pity. I saw it on the website when booking a room. The difference is that the photos you see on the website when booking a room all have good natural lighting, so there is inevitably a psychological gap, because I prefer rooms with natural lighting, and I hope there can be written notes on the booking website. This will prevent people who like natural lighting from living in a room they don’t like.
4. There are only four parking spaces, and there is no free parking service, which is also a pity.
5. The advantage is that it has a good location. It takes 10 minutes to walk to Yizhong Business District and 5 minutes to reach the Second Market and Taichung Park.
