Interlaken Hotels with Balcony

A great choice for travelers on the move! The location is hard to beat, with both the train and bus stations just a short walk away. Air conditioning is a definite plus during the warmer spring and summer months, keeping the rooms cool and comfortable. Breakfast is satisfying enough to start the day, but could have more variety. Overall, a solid and convenient stay.

The apartment has beautiful mountain views from two sides, offering a lovely experience of Interlaken. The breakfast options are limited, but overall the quality is good. The restaurant staff are very helpful, and the reception staff are extremely friendly and supportive. Special thanks to Christian and Hadeer — their warm welcome made us feel comfortable from the very beginning, and because of them we decided to book this hotel. Their kindness and the smiles they gave us every time we met truly touched our hearts. Overall, we had a pleasant and memorable stay.

Hotel was located conveniently near the station, just a 10min walk from Interlaken West. Plenty of shops and amenities in the area as well. Even our paragliding activity was located a stone’s throw away so that was extra convenient for us. Service by the staff was excellent too. And there is also the cutest cat in the garden house!

Overall, this hotel is quite good. The location is very convenient, close to the city center, and surrounded by many restaurants and shopping areas. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and the beds are comfortable, suitable for extended stays. Although some areas are slightly dated, the hotel is clean and tidy overall. The hotel service is also excellent; the front desk staff are friendly, and the check-in and check-out processes are efficient.

This is a lovely hotel with a lot to offer. The location is truly excellent—close to public transport and within walking distance of the main station. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was spacious and very clean.  The only area that didn't meet our expectations was the breakfast. The selection was quite limited, and the quality didn't seem to match the rest of the hotel experience. It was the one thing we were disappointed with. Despite the breakfast, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel for its fantastic location and comfortable rooms.

I'd give it a 9 out of 10. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, about a ten-minute walk from the Ostbahnhof. It's a bit far from the town center, so dining and shopping require a 15-20 minute walk. Overall, the hotel is very clean, and the breakfast spread is quite good. If I visit Interlaken again, I'd definitely consider staying here.

The hotel is very carefully arranged, very clean and comfortable. It feels like a hotel run by a couple. Although the scale is not very large, the experience of staying is excellent. Our room is on the 3rd floor. There is a large outdoor balcony. You can see the tourists who play paragliding on the mountain. Flying in the sky, very happy, There is coffee and tea in the room, and there is also a pot for boiling water. The warm and thoughtful service of the proprietress feels very warm.

Great Value & Perfect Base for Interlaken – Hotel Essential by DORITStayed at Hotel Essential by DORIT, it was exactly what we needed for exploring Interlaken.Location: 10/10. You’re 3 min walk from Interlaken West station and right by Lake Thun. Super easy to catch trains to Lauterbrunnen, Grindelwald, or hop on a boat cruise. Tons of restaurants, Coop, and cafés within a 5 min walk. You can’t beat it for convenience.Room: Clean, modern, and smartly designed. We had a Double Room and it made great use of space — comfortable bed, blackout curtains, and a surprisingly good shower with strong water pressure. Not huge, but perfect for travelers who are out all day. The views of the mountains from upper floors are a bonus.Cleanliness: Spotless. Housekeeping did a great job daily, and the whole property feels fresh and new. Breakfast: Simple but quality. Good coffee, fresh bread, cheese, cold cuts, yogurt, and fruit. The breakfast room is small but cozy, with big windows. For the price, it’s more than fair. Service: Check-in was smooth and staff were friendly + efficient. They gave solid tips for hikes and printed our train tickets when we asked. The self-check-in kiosk is also handy if you arrive late.Vibe: Minimalist Swiss design with a boutique feel. No pool or spa, but that’s not why you stay here — you’re here to be out in the Jungfrau region all day. The common lounge area is great for planning routes or chilling with a coffee.Minor notes: Walls are a bit thin — we could hear doors closing at night. Also no elevator, so pack light if you’re on a higher floor. Street parking is limited, but the hotel helped us sort a public lot nearby.Overall: For the location, cleanliness, and price point, Hotel Essential by DORIT is hard to beat in Interlaken. It’s unpretentious, modern, and lets you spend your money on experiences instead of the room. We expected a bad experience when we looked at the Google review but was pleasantly surprised by the actual room presented to us. We had a quadruple room and saw a near-new bathroom, in contrast of the photos we saw on Google review. Apart from the bathroom, the room itself is a bit of a disappointment, the one of the bed frames were faulty and one of us had to sleep with her hips lowered to the floor. And the other facilities were outdated, but they were at least clean. Our overall experience was pleasant, but similar to most things in Switzerland, the price was a little steep, but probably one of the cheaper hotels in the area.
