Please see previous review - similar experience. They stop you in the street, offer some scratch tickets, prizes, etc. No clarity in the offer and they keep saying that they get bonuses if you accept and that is how they can support their families, etc. Not clear what you can get in the end, they mentioned a voucher but I refused. Bottom line, you waste vacation time - looks like they desperately need tourists.

SCAM - STREET SCAM We were approached by a man named Pauluy, who attempted to hand us some lotto cards. Even after we declined, he insisted and mentioned that his family relies on the money he makes from selling these cards and begged us to open them. He gave us the cards and informed us that my husband had won two free shirts and I had won the grand prize of either $1000 AUD, a luxury vacation, or an iPad mini. However, to receive the prize, we had to go to a new hotel and take a tour of it. He added that his employer wants to promote it in Australia and have more Australian visitors. He was insistent that we get into a cab as he kept saying he would get 50 Australian dollars that would help him support his family, and if we dont go, he won't get paid. We declined, and he kept pushing and trying to hug as and be buddy buddy with us, but both my husband and I felt that it was a scam. After all, who gives away $1000 so easily? He also asked for our names and place of stay so that he could send a car to pick us up tomorrow when we could arrange for someone to look after our kids and that we wouod only be at the hotel for 6 hours. We said no again, and that we had already planned our days. Fortunately, our daughter started crying just then, giving us a chance to leave. We were approached six times during our trip by people offering these cards, so be wary of such scams.

Read all the other reviews about their scam to get you to buy timeshare with them to get the idea of the lengths they will go to get you in. We fell for the street guy’s act that we were helping them earn money. We never believed the prize story. So lucky for us the sellers had gone home for the day. They asked us to come back next morning they would send a driver. We said no we can arrange that ourselves as we suspected a scam and didn’t want to go back. Next morning they sent a driver anyway, we asked the front desk to send them away. So no shame at all blatant scammers who won’t let go. Beware these guys there is no prize and they just want your money.

Don’t believe to the scammers on the street, don’t be a fool you are not winning a free luxury trip They put on a show and want you to sit in their taxi for free straight away. One ticket will say 2 free t shirts the other one is FIRST PRICE 🤣🤣🤣🤣 just a JOKE

First stay here after becoming members last August. Our 1 bedroom apartment is spacious and well equipped with great views over the bay. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great and restaurant for lunch and dinner are good. Organised evening events are well done. A shuttle goes between the resort and Peninsula beach hotel. Lovely pools 4 altogether set in delightful gardens.

Peninsula Bay Resort BEWARE: TIMESHARE SALES PITCH The Peninsula Bay Resort have persistence and sometimes aggressive sales people who parade up and down Jalan Pratama street on motorcycles selling time shares for the Bay Resort. They initially approach you while you are walking down the street and offer free raffle tickets. Their initial conversation is that they are not selling anything and there is no sales involved. Unsurprisingly you will always “win” and they become extremely excited for you, jumping around and shaking your hands multiple times, and inform you they need to take you to the resort to claim your prize and free lunch will be provided . If you decline, they humbly say that they will get 50 dollars if you go and that this means a lot to their family and that Covid has been hard times for them. They are very persistent in trying to get you to the resort. If you refuse further they push hard on the 50 dollar prize for them. I chose not to go and said goodbye. I know they are just doing their job, which is OK. But they are misrepresenting and not explaining the real facts. See other reviews of people who have gone to the resort to claim their “prize”. It is not good. It is such a shame because Balinese people are lovely, friendly and nice. The Peninsula Bay Resort salespeople are letting Bali down. Some notes; - [ ] The salespeople are constantly approaching tourists, mainly Aussies and Brits. I even had one approach me and during the conversation he said that is boss came from my city - [ ] They don’t appear to operate after lunchtime - [ ] Their sales skill and initial engagement is slick. Maybe they should consider working in other sales industries other than timeshare - [ ] They always ask which hotel you are staying in, I guess so that they don’ pitch to Peninsula guests - [ ] It’s a numbers game, so you are always being approach and this gets frustrating when you are walking down the street. This on street sales pitch is an exception and not really representative of the nice Balinese people. Shame that the Peninsular Bay Resort are using these sales people and their 1980s sales techniques. Spoils the Bali vibe.

We had a nice restful week at this resort. It is within walkable distance of restaurants and the beach. The staff are very helpful snd friendly. We only had one meal at the resort, which was the Sunday roast and that was delicious. We could make our own breakfast in the morning as the unit had a refrigerator and cooking facilities.

We had Fish & Chips (Dory) and a Grilled Chicken Burger, The single piece of fried fish would fit in the palm of a had of a 10 year old girl. It was about the same size as a fish finger, if cut in half and placed side by side. There were about 10 chips in the tiny basket. Anywhere else in the world this would not qualify as an entree. To be fair, the fish did taste quite nice, but two mouthfuls covered it. Mind you, it was quite oily/greasy with a film of oil on paper on bottom of basket. My wife had the Chicken burger. She ate less than half of it. The bun was soggy; the piece of chicken again quite small. My wife has a gallstone problem, so anything that is greasy (think McDonalds/Hungry Jacks) is just impossible for her to eat as the reaction is quite rapid. Reaction came under halfway thru the dish. We have been in Bali for 2 weeks, and have eaten at a lot of restaurants....this was the smallest meal we have ever seen. In comparison to the multitude of restaurants within a 5 minute walk from this resort, this has very poor offerings...at nearly double the price. Today we came across two other couples who have tried their food and would never go back. It is really a shame given how good the resort itself is. It always amazes me that some restaurants in such resorts do not seem to understand the simple concept of - good food, good price, full restaurant. It is no wonder that this restaurant always has just a small number of diners. The management needs to wake up and actually have a look around at what is being offered locally...where the restaurants are NOT empty
