One of the most underrated hotels in Bangkok! It truly redefines what it means to "pay a little, but enjoy a 5-star experience"! To be honest, this hotel blew me away! Judging purely by the price tag, you might not expect much, but once you actually check in, you realize just how incredible the value for money really is. While the hotel has some age to it and a few facilities look slightly dated, I personally feel that its overall comfort, ambiance, service attitude, and dining quality easily rival many 5-star hotels! The dining deserves a special shoutout. The breakfast is abundant and delicious, the food at the hotel restaurant is of a very high standard, and the prices are extremely reasonable. I stayed here for several days and often ended up having lunch right at the hotel because it was simply that good and affordable! The hotel also features a swimming pool and fitness facilities, making the overall amenities quite comprehensive. What I loved most was that the pool wasn't overcrowded; at times, I even had the entire tranquil pool to myself. For someone like me who travels frequently on business and just wants to unwind after work, it was sheer bliss. Of course, I want to be objective: if you're coming to Bangkok to party every night, chase bustling nightlife, or want a whole row of massage parlors and entertainment spots right outside your doorstep, this might not be your best choice. While there are malls, convenience stores, temples, and an MRT/BTS station nearby, the surrounding area is generally quiet and not right in the heart of Bangkok's vibrant nightlife district. However, if you truly want to enjoy your trip to Bangkok—sightseeing, shopping, and eating out during the day, and returning to a comfortable, quiet, and attentive hotel to rest at night—then I would wholeheartedly recommend this place! I've always believed that a truly great hotel isn't about how luxurious it is or how high the room rates are, but whether it makes guests feel that every single penny was well spent. And this hotel is precisely that kind of rare gem. It’s not the kind of place that catches your eye with flashy luxury, but rather a hotel that wins guests over and keeps them coming back through comfort, service, culinary quality, and rock-solid value. If some 5-star hotels are about spending a fortune for pampering, this hotel lets you spend a pittance while enjoying treatment that far exceeds the price. Having stayed at so many hotels in Bangkok, I consider this one to be severely underrated! Highly, highly recommended! It is especially suited for business travelers, couples on vacation, and anyone who appreciates a quiet and comfortable way to travel. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next trip to Bangkok!

Exceeded expectations, a classic hotel. A bit old, but the management and maintenance are up to the standards of a branded hotel. The breakfast is an American buffet and is very rich. Great location, very close to the subway station, and the shopping complex is right across the street. Not far from the night market and bar street either. Lumphini Park is also close by; lots of people walk and run there, mostly expats who likely live in Bangkok long-term.

Along with its long history, the facilities have also aged quite a bit. Location-wise, it's connected to MRT Sam Yan Station via Samyan Mitrtown across the street, so just crossing one pedestrian crossing makes getting around very convenient. Of course, it's not a super short walk, but being able to stay out of the sun and rain is a huge plus. It says "Since 1965," but there are signs throughout the room showing that it's been a long time since the last renovation. As for breakfast, it's a decent, budget-friendly option if you just look at it as a simple morning meal.

The room isn't particularly spacious, but it's well-equipped, clean, and tidy. The shower even has a rainfall head, and there's a microwave and a fridge. They even provided complimentary Coke and instant noodles. Most of the front desk staff speak good Chinese. There's a large shopping mall right across from the hotel, which is great for browsing. It's also relatively close to Chulalongkorn University and the night market, though we usually took a taxi there, costing about 100 Baht.

Great location, this is my second time staying here. It's very close to Chulalongkorn University and super convenient for going to the night markets to get some food. The service was excellent, and I'd definitely stay here again given the chance. Highly recommended!

The room was spacious enough, with plenty of room even with a large suitcase open. I was very satisfied with the service, which included a large refrigerator, daily water replenishment, and even free Coke and instant noodles. The bathroom also had a bidet, and the hot water flow and pressure were strong and comfortable. Regarding the location, there's a shopping center nearby and Big C is very close, so there's no problem with dining or shopping for groceries. On the other hand, I was bothered by a slight musty smell, perhaps due to the age of the building, and the noise from cars, as it faces a main road, was quite loud. If you can overlook the slight age and noise, I think this hotel offers excellent value for money in terms of convenience and service.
