"Very nice hotel with great location and rooftop pool and terrace with amazing views of river and mountains. The staff was friendly but not a lot of people at the front desk spoke English. We also had a breakfast which was quite good. I would recommend to add some western choices like pancakes, ham, cheese, yogurt bowls."

"When I first arrived I was quite disappointed that my room didn't look much at all like the photos on the listing. My one recommendation is that this is updated so that people have appropriate expectations... However, I could not help but enjoy my stay here. Overall the hotel felt exceptionally good value, laundry was done for me and I had access to a scooter. Breakfast tea and coffee all included as well. Xiaoming is also a fantastic and attentive host, who seems to look after all his guests well."

"The room was super spacious with fabulous views and everything was very clean, with daily room cleaning. The breakfast was extensive and decent quality. Only slight letdown would be the gym/fitness centre which was a box room with two treadmills with AC that didn’t really work. But the infinity plunge pool outside helped to cool down after a workout. The main highlights were: 1. The location - super convenient for the main sights but still quiet at nighttime. 2. The staff - so friendly and helpful, helped us book a Li River tour for a good price and were just generally very welcoming and supportive throughout the stay"

Cleanliness: spotlessly clean. Service: The staff is polite. There was some hold up at check in but nothing worth nitpicking on. Facilities: As a local I highly recommend the Chinese noodle at breakfast table. Other food is typical international fusion with a Chinese blend. The pool and the gym is a bit small, nice if you have to keep yourself at shape during travel but leaves room for more. The executive lounge is a bit rundown and old-fashioned compared to the rest of the hotel. The cafe at lobby level has an elegant minimalistic atmosphere."

Ccchm95This was a local hotel that was situated on a peak facing Jinfoding (Golden Buddha Peak), so note it’s not on Jinfoding itself but still in the same area of Jinkeng Dazhai. I hired a driver via the hotel to fetch me from Guilin Airport to the hotel. Journey took about 3 hours using local roads, if you can somehow negotiate with your driver to take the expressway from the airport, it will be about an hour shorter and less scenic but also less nauseating. Access to hotel is pretty limited unless you hire a driver or you drive. If you take the bus from Guilin downtown/Airport, it will only alight you at the Dazhai parking lot, and you still need to make transport arrangements to get to the hotel within the scenic area (anywhere between 20-40min drive) but the boss is helpful and very contactable (phone call or wechat). I wouldn’t recommend walking to the hotel cos it is situated at the top of a pretty steep hill and it is a one-car lane that goes both ways with many blind spots. At the hotel, you could choose to walk and hike the terraces to other viewpoints in Jinkeng, but note that the routes will be very long and exhausting. If you plan to visit other villages like Ping An Zhai, it’s about an hour’s drive away on mountain roads, and it’s best if you hire a driver as well. Overall, room was very clean and spacious and was true to trip.com description and pictures. Very comfortable, clean and scenic stay! Shower and toilet are separate and clean. There’s a bathtub situated right behind the bed, they provided disposable bathtub liner if you want to use it. Hotel is situated near one of the viewpoints in Jinkeng, but it was very misty on the day I hiked. From what I could make out through the mist, the views seem pretty epic. View from the room is great and the boss provided a welcome sweet rice wine drink with lunch which was great! The boss gave me some luohanguo as a souvenir when I checked out! Did I also mention, breakfast provided included a jar of fresh warm soy milk and a delicious bowl of rice noodles made to order! Will stay again in future!

Ccchm95Room was very clean, and toilet and shower were separate. Smoking was apparently permitted in rooms despite my request for a non-smoking room, but there was no smoke smell in the room and it was well ventilated with the attached balcony which faced the river and had pretty views. I had issues with the electricity tripping, but the front desk resolved this very quickly by giving me a card specifically for the power outlet in my room. The hotel had washers and dryers for clothes free to use for all guests and even an area with hangers and poles to air dry your laundry, but the time I was there, there were many insects at night (the hotel did put a warning sign at the door). The laundry also apparently closes at 11pm but I did not notice this until I was done with my laundry at 1am. The caretaker who did the evening rounds also did not chase me away and let me use the area until I completed my laundry. The hotel was located near the Longtoushan pier where the Li River Cruises end and disembark. It’s supposedly a 3-5-min walk from the pier to the hotel, but the area tends to be very crowded as all the cruises tend to arrive together (~1.30-2pm). The stretch of pavement from the pier to the street is also very bumpy and not luggage-friendly, but you may contact the hotel to fetch you with a buggy but they tend to be too busy to accommodate at that time too. Apart from this timing, the street is generally very quiet. If walking at night, i would recommend bringing a torch light as the street is very dark. It’s also a 10-15min walk away from Xijie (west street) where there are many food options and souvenirs. The hotel has an attached cafe and restaurant too if you just want to chill in the afternoon. It’s a little pricey for this area but overall a good and comfortable stay! The rooftop also has very pretty views of the mountains and the river, and a great place for some quiet time in the morning!

Some of the tour arrangement service available at the front-desk. The only shortcoming is the lift going to the level 2 hotel lobby is a little difficult to find but it doesn’t affect the overall quality and service of this hotel.

KKenny.PangWe stayed at Four Seasons Fairyland in Yangshuo and overall had a pleasant experience. Initially, we were checked into a room that wasn’t quite ready — it had an unpleasant smell and didn’t meet cleanliness expectations. However, the hotel handled it very well and upgraded us to a much larger, more comfortable room. The upgrade was a nice gesture, and the room we eventually stayed in was spacious, quiet, and great to come back to after a full day out. The daily breakfast was decent — while the menu doesn’t change much, the variety was fair, and we never left hungry. Waking up to views of the iconic karst mountains of Yangshuo each morning was truly special and made the stay feel grounded in the natural charm of the area. Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently near many key attractions, which made getting around and exploring the area quite easy. One big plus: the staff went above and beyond for us when we had multiple packages arriving from Taobao — helping us coordinate deliveries and pick-ups smoothly. That extra support was really appreciated and speaks to their thoughtful service. A minor downside: the TV in the room didn’t work initially and took a bit of troubleshooting on our own to figure out a fix. The only real disappointment was with the in-house photography experience. While the photographer was skilled and we enjoyed the complimentary 3-photo package, the editor’s attitude left a bad impression. She was impatient and didn’t give us space to decide which photos we wanted to keep or buy. I’d suggest just enjoying the 3 free photos and skipping the upsell unless you really want more. Overall, a solid stay in Yangshuo with great service, beautiful views, and thoughtful touches — just a few things to note depending on what you value during your trip.

The hotel is right by the Lijiang River. Standing on the balcony, you can enjoy the scenery of the Lijiang River. The architectural style of the hotel is unique. The decoration in the room is elegant, making people feel a warm and peaceful atmosphere. The service staff of the hotel are extremely warm and friendly. From check-in to check-out, every link makes me feel at home. In particular, the reception staff at the front desk are not only considerate in service but also very patiently answered all my questions. The hotel's facilities are very complete, with facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, and SPA, allowing me to maintain health and vitality even during my trip. I also participated in some special experience activities. For example, the SPA project reserved at the hotel made me completely relax. In general, this stay experience in Yangshuo, Guilin is extremely wonderful!

The room is comfortable with authentic design of natural materials: wood, fabric, stone. The shower room also has a heating, not only the bedroom. The view from the balcony is stunning: mountains and the river are right there! It is situated in walking distance from the west street and Li river scenic spot! Amazing stay! Thank you.

LLeeTomThis Hotel is a hidden gem. The room was comfy and the view is to die for. The host paved and mapped out paths for us around the Hotel for the best views of the yangshuo mountains. We enjoyed the serenity and tranquility here. The air smells fragrant with osmanthus and fresh pomelos planted around the vicinity. The guide dog was so adorable and smart. She guided us all the way to the peak before the dawn, then waited for us to finish before guiding us back down. The host was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. She fetched us from the pier upon arrival and took us to the pier when we departed. She is also very open and kind in helping us navigate our way to the Hotel when we got lost. This place is just perfect for this price.

22morrowsworldSplit duplex room near roof. Upper and lower levels separated by a narrow spiral staircase. The The upper floor contains a king bed, air conditioning unit and large balcony. Balcony opens out to expansive view of Yangshuo town, Xijie and karst topography. Lower floor has a clothes cabinet, tea set and kettle. The bathroom is also on lower section. Bathroom is equipped with a non slip floor in the shower cubicle that has a partial glass partition. A very secluded unit which sits above the fifth floor restaurant. Perhaps a little inconvenient that toilet/bathroom are separated from bedroom, but pretty good value considering the low tariff (only 120 RMB per night).
