The bed was incredibly comfortable, providing a great night’s sleep. The decor and layout of the room were both modern and inviting, making it a pleasant space to relax in after a long day.One of the highlights of my stay was the delightful selection of snacks and coffee available in the lobby. It was a nice touch that added a bit of extra comfort and convenience.What really stood out to me, however, was the family-friendly aspect of the hotel. On the 2nd floor, there was a small playground and plenty of Lego bricks for kids to play with. This made it an ideal choice for a family stay, as it kept the little ones entertained and happy.Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families. And Guilin’s downtown is around 20min ride. But near the hotel there is a must see park. The view is fantastic and there is a convenience store and restaurant. Hotel provides free transfer there and back. The receptionists at the hotel are very welcoming. Many thanks to the woman who speaks English! She helped me a lot with my taobao orders! I can definitely recommend this hotel!

So far the most cutiest hotel we ever been: winter decoration, christmas tree but the most charming is the cat on the front desk. Room was spacious with very cozy atmosphere, also new equipment. Hotel offers really nice breakfast and really delicious coffee with lots of choices. Highly recommend to stay

The inn is located in front of a small road which was always busy with many motorcycles passing by so it takes us a while to cross every time. The staff and reception are very friendly and helpful in answering our queries and sharing on places to go etc. I suppose the room allows for smoking so there is a lingering smell always. Would be better if they have non-smoking rooms option.

Before departure, I screened this home through price comparison, location and other conditions. The location is quite quiet. It feels like ZF reception hotel. The decoration is quite new. The room is very clean and comfortable. There is no smell. The service is in place. The TV set-top box is broken and solved quickly. The water is also delivered in time. It is very safe and comfortable to live. It is worth recommending. The hotel is about3-4 kilometers away from the tourist area of Elephant Trunk Hill Park. It takes about 15 minutes to ride a shared eDonkey. There is also RT-Mart nearby to buy some specialties. The locals recommend the nearby Huixian Road (near Pu'er Road section) to have a lot of food. Strong Amway tastes the hot spring beer sweet and dry throat.

Location - Be mindful that there is more than one HomePlusInn, we accidentally went to the wrong one. This location is not in the city centre. There is a short 20 minute taxi ride away from the ”downtown” area. The reason we chose this hotel was because of its convenient location near the Guilin train station. I think it only took us around 8 minutes to get there by foot.
Cleanliness - It was acceptable. The bedding seemed relatively new however I could smell cigarettes in the hallways and lift area.
Service - I was impressed by the free breakfast provided in the morning. There was a huge variety, including congee, noodles, buns, and other Chinese dishes offered. We were all full and satisfied after the breakfast!
Facilities - Very basic amenities were provided. They did not provide bath and shower gel. The TV had poor quality.

Stayed there with my mom for our time in Guilin. The hotel is super well located and we could walk to all the sightseeing spots or take a bus if needed (but we only needed it once). The neighborhood is beautiful, and you can see multiple local families using the community areas to exercise, dance, do taichi, play cards or play with their children. There is also a delicious Baozi shop around the corner and multiple other restaurants. The people who work at the hotel were very friendly and gave us good advice. They also allowed us to do our laundry at the hotel with no cost.

Staff were very welcoming and polite. Check-in was easy. The room was just what I needed, but the carpets were in poor condition. Housekeeping was good. I did not use the restaurant during this stay. The laundry room is very good, and I used it a couple of times. Overall, quite a decent place to stay for the price. I would stay there again.

We were lucky to book this cost-effective B&B on our way back!
The lady boss was super nice. When we checked in, we happened to see them having a barbecue. She warmly invited us to eat with her and even sent a delicious birthday cake to our room for the child. They proactively communicated with us and changed us to a quiet room with sufficient heating. They also introduced us to a restaurant that was delicious and affordable. They were very thoughtful!
The bed in the room is very big, and the pillows seem to have been carefully selected, so I slept very comfortably at night. The hygiene is also quite good. Whether it is bed sheets, quilt covers or bath towels, you can see that they have been carefully cleaned and disinfected, so you can feel very safe staying here.
This B&B that is run with such care deserves a big thumbs up from the proprietress. I will come again next time I have the chance!

MMegan MaiWe stayed here for four nights, so we feel we got a pretty good idea of the area and the hotel. The check-in process was easy and very fast, you just need to show them your passport/travel cards. Once we got our our room (there is an elevator), the rooms automatically have curtains that open and music that plays. It’s quite loud at first, but you can go next to the bed to turn off the music or else it’ll do it every time you enter your room and put in the room card haha. The room is clean and the beds are fairly comfortable. While traveling in China, I’m usually curious as to how hard/soft the bed is, but it was a lot better than I expected. The place is new, so the rooms are still in good condition. We really enjoyed our room, the view was nice, and it was quiet. Although, because the rooms have the music that turn on each time you put in your room card, you will be able to hear the rooms next to you music play if they don’t turn it off haha. What we really enjoyed was how we had free coffee and fruit everyday! I didn’t realize it was everyday of your stay, I just thought it was one time. You can choose between americano or latte. They also have free ice cream! So many perks of staying here. We rented scooters from them and it was a little bit more than the surrounding places, but we felt it was worth it because of less hassle. We also enjoyed the breakfast here. It is a bowl of Guilin noodles with vegetables and pork, and they have self-service soy milk, buns, sweet potato, and corn. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back. Also!!! Check out the bbq place across the road from here, it’s really good and service is amazing.

PPrairieTruthfully, I am having time finding words, and that's unusual for me. I must admit I was disappointed when Yangshuo Mountain Retreat cancelled my booking because of a wedding that had booked the place, but the photos of the garden sold me. I've been to Yangshuo perhaps five times over the last 10 years, and have stayed in every kind of place there-from a cheap hostel to the boutique rooms but my dream was to stay at YMR, where I always stop and have a whiskey by the river.
When we pulled into Liqui Town, I realized I had not explored this part of the valley and was disoriented. But then the staff greeted us, carried in our bags, gave us tea, peanuts, and oranges, and set to taking care of our every need. They were this way with us from start to finish-sending us off with a bag of fresh mandarin oranges and hugs-and a promise to send an invoice for our remaining expenses-which we still have not gotten!
Apart from the wonder of just those details, the food was exquisite, our farmhouse room was stylish and simple yet so thoroughly Chinese-in the most real and unassuming way. It was an honor and a pleasure to sip tea in the farmhouse and look at the many woodcut posters and Chinese propaganda songs on the walls while staring up from the tea table to the simply elegant clay tile roof resting on the original beams, feeling the mud bricks breathe out their history silently under a soft rain and the early crows of the neighborhood roosters. I
If one is quiet and still, I believe this little gem will give up her secrets, her history, and the story and true feeling of old-time village life amongst the stunning splatters of karst and water. We enjoyed watching the staff use the traditional well to clean up around the property, and the garden did not disappoint. Truly magical and filled with bonsai that some local master has been enjoying for many years. The food was excellent. We spoke with some Chinese tourists on the way out who were very disappointed with the local version of beer fish, ah but ours was exquisite, along with the drinks and italian food. It's very rare to find this mix of culture, authenticity, generosity, and good service all wrapped into a package that does nearly guarantee the fulfillment of the motto the girls wear on their shirts, ”be inspired....”

EErikaAmazing hotel with a heartbreaking view. The location is super good, in the countryside but close to a few restaurants, shops, electrical bike rent, and some scenic spots but also at 10/15 min driving from yangshuo city. The room was huge, as was the bathroom as well, the bed was super comfortable and the bathtub with the view as the balcony was priceless. The staff is really nice and they speak English so the communication was easy. Breakfast with traditional guilin noodles was also super good, highly recommended

GGuest UserWe had a very good stay at the riverview hotel, specially Yawen and Molly from the reception were very helpful to help plan our trips. They made the reservations for us en true them we got a discount on our trip. We appreciate that a lot.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, shower good and hot, changing of towels daily.
Staying at the riverview hotel is a excellent choice located near the town and river.

PPablo WongI’m always on the lookout for places that offer a memorable experience with great ambiance, ideal location, and beautiful views. This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way.
The location is perfect: close enough to downtown to access everything easily, but just far enough from the busiest, tourist-packed streets, making it a quiet retreat. Upon arriving in my room, I was already impressed by the setup and view. Out of curiosity, I asked if they had a room with an even better view, and to my surprise, they upgraded me for free! I offered to pay the difference because the rates are already very affordable, but they graciously insisted on keeping the same price.
The staff here go above and beyond. Not only did they provide detailed information, but they also directly booked tours for me. Every tour they recommended was fantastic and reasonably priced, making it hassle-free to explore the area. Additionally, they offer bicycles and electric motorcycles for just 30 yuan for the entire day, which is a huge bonus for anyone wanting to explore on their own schedule.
Full disclosure, they did request a 5-star review, but I genuinely feel they earned it by going the extra mile in every aspect. The only minor note is that although some reviews mentioned breakfast being included, it wasn’t available during my stay. However, with the location and easy access to nearby cafes via the electric motorcycles, finding breakfast options was incredibly convenient.
In short, I have only great things to say about this hotel. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable, well-located, and memorable stay!

Balcony opens out to expansive view of Yangshuo town, Xijie and karst topography. Lower floor has a clothes cabinet, tea set and kettle. The bathroom is also on lower section.
Bathroom is equipped with a non slip floor in the shower cubicle that has a partial glass partition. A very secluded unit which sits above the fifth floor restaurant. Perhaps a little inconvenient that toilet/bathroom are separated from bedroom, but pretty good value considering the low tariff (only 120 RMB per night).

GGuest UserReally enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location was good it was just 10-15 mins away from west street by taxi so it was quiet but easily accessible. The view of the river from the room was amazing and didn't have anything blocking the view.. I didn't expect it to actually look like the pictures on the website but it really was a beautiful room. There was a few letdowns, even though there was daily maid service, the room was pretty dusty when we arrived and there was quite a few bits of wear and tear like peeling plaster on the walls that lowered the standard of the place. The staff were really helpful and went out their way to to help us plan a day trip etc. Overall I'd go back to this place, Its quiet, cheap and has everything you need for a few days.
