Stayed here for r days I cannot sing high enough praises for the Free Bird (自由鸟) Hotel during our recent Yangshuo trip - this place turned a good holiday into an unforgettable one, and I cannot recommend it enough! First, the location is pure magic. Tucked away from the noisy main tourist streets, it sits in a wonderfully peaceful area where you can wake up to the soft sound of birds and distant views of the iconic karst peaks. No blaring street music or crowded sidewalks right outside, but all the major attractions and local eateries are still just a short 10-minute stroll or cheap bike ride away. It’s the perfect sweet spot for anyone who wants to unwind after a day of exploring without being cut off from everything. But what really blew us away was the staff - they are the heart and soul of this hotel. Every single team member was so warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help, not just going through the motions. When we had no clue how to plan some activities in Yangshuo, they helped us to manage it, mapped out a fully customized itinerary, and even arranged all the activities for us at better local rates than we found online: a sunrise bamboo raft trip on the Yulong River. The whole vibe of the hotel is cozy, laid-back, and full of little thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. If you’re tired of generic, overpriced chain hotels in Yangshuo’s busy core and want a quiet escape run by people who actually care about your trip, this is the place to book. Checked in on the seventh day of the Chinese New Year. The price was around 400, which was great value for money. As soon as we entered the courtyard, there was an adorable alpaca, and my child was thrilled. The room and environment were both very nice, and the location was excellent. It's right off the main street with plenty of food options. You can rent an electric scooter at the entrance, and if you ride towards the back gate, you'll reach the Yulong River with beautiful scenery. A pleasant stay overall.

This is the most satisfying Zen-style hotel I've stayed at in Yangshuo! Nestled by mountains and rivers, it offers stunning, immersive views directly facing the Yulong River and its picturesque peaks. Looking out at the lotus pond is incredibly refreshing and perfect for photos! The room was clean and elegant, with a comfortable and serene Zen-inspired decor. The facilities were complete, and the soundproofing was excellent. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, and breakfast was nutritious and fresh. The hotel boasts a swimming pool, a scenic tea room, and even wellness experience programs. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustle, making it an excellent choice for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend staying here when you visit Yangshuo!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language. Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

It was such a pleasant surprise to stay at the ”Linjiang Youxian” B&B by the Li River! You can see the beautiful view of the Li River by opening the window. Wake up to the sound of the river in the morning, and the atmosphere is immediately maximized. The location of the B&B is super convenient. The surrounding attractions can be reached on foot, and you can easily check in at Elephant Trunk Hill and Xingping Ancient Town. You can also cook delicious food with your children, which is a great experience! Breakfast is a highlight. The local specialty rice noodles are fresh and refreshing. It is a great pleasure to find such a warm and worry-free place to stay when traveling with children. I have to give it a five-star rating. I will stay here again next time I come to Guilin!

I stayed in a twin room, and overall it was decent. One of the beds was right next to the door, but it wasn't noisy at night. There were quite a few mosquitoes, and even though the hotel provided an electric mosquito repellent, it wasn't very effective, so it's best to bring your own insect repellent. The only downside was the open-plan bathroom, which felt a bit too exposed. You definitely need to close the door when showering, otherwise, it feels like you're going to flood the place. The hotel is right next to the old street downstairs, and they offer meals. Breakfast is free, but other meals are charged. This is my personal experience, for your reference.

The room was spacious enough, with simple and elegant decor. The bed was just the right firmness, and the pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spotless, with all necessary toiletries provided, and hot water was readily available. The front desk staff were warm and polite, patiently answering any questions and responding quickly. The location is excellent, with a bus stop right outside and many shopping areas nearby, making dining and shopping very convenient. The price-performance ratio is very high compared to similar hotels. My stay was very comfortable, and I would definitely recommend it and stay here again.

The newly renovated room is very clean. The boss is very nice. He helped us pack the fruits we bought outside so that we can carry them with us when we move in. It was great! Thank you very much boss! ! !

Staying at Gui Tu You You Xiao Zhu during my Yangshuo trip was great! It's just a few steps away from West Street, offering a quiet escape despite being so central. The room was clean and comfortable, and the owner was very welcoming. Being so close to everything made exploring and dining super convenient. Overall, I felt very safe and comfortable throughout my stay. 🌹
