Li River Hotel (Guilin Two Rivers and Four Lakes Xiangshan Scenic Spot)

The location is fantastic, right by the lake. It's next to the Sheraton, and we got a room upgrade. Our room was much more spacious than the Sheraton's, with direct views of Shan Lake. It was very large and clean. The hotel facilities are excellent, including a self-service laundry room, which was really convenient for us after coming back from Longji. The observation deck offers panoramic lake views, and enjoying a drink on the rooftop in the evening was wonderful. During the National Day holiday, the evening breeze was very pleasant. It's also just a 5-minute walk to Elephant Trunk Hill.

Our Guilin trip far exceeded expectations! The hotel called us a day in advance to confirm our arrival time and even gave us a free room upgrade—we could feel their attentiveness right from the start. Any issues we had along the way were promptly resolved. After check-in, they proactively checked in on our experience, and when we shared suggestions, they actually followed up with improvement plans rather than just offering polite lip service. On the day of checkout, the receptionist and the security guard at the door were both so sweet and thoughtful, specifically asking about our cruise schedule. When our taxi driver couldn't find the hotel, the staff stepped in to help coordinate and communicate. Even after checking out, our personal butler messaged to make sure we boarded the boat smoothly. This kind of continuous care is truly rare. As for the hardware, the room was very new with a practical wet-and-dry separation layout. The location is a huge advantage, with many popular attractions within walking distance. The Sun and Moon Pagodas are right across the street, and the night views are absolutely stunning. The complimentary travel photography session provided by the hotel also produced amazing photos. If you're visiting Guilin, make this your top choice. The service, views, and location are all top-notch!
