YouxiandeyunThe hotel's location right by the Li River is quite peaceful, which I prefer over the noisy West Street area since I'm a light sleeper. I really appreciate that the front desk upgraded my room type. It's not far from West Street pedestrian street either, offering a quiet escape while still being convenient, almost like being on a backstreet in the countryside. The hotel also has its own restaurant where I ate both my meals; the food was delicious and good value for money, plus guests get a 10% discount. After dinner, a stroll along the river is lovely and relaxing, with locals also out for walks. You can get some great photos of the river and mountain views from the hotel's rooftop. They also offer self-service laundry and drying, which is super handy given how rainy and humid the weather can be here. All the staff, including housekeeping and restaurant servers, were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

Tianmingfeizi0The hygiene was excellent; even the tiles in the hallway were spotless, and the public areas were very clean, with staff cleaning early in the morning.
The overall environment was quite good, nestled against the mountains, offering a serene atmosphere. However, the appearance of the residential houses outside the hotel somewhat lowered the overall standard.
What I most want to complain about is the service. When we checked in, we were told the highest floor wasn't ready yet, so we went out. No one informed us when the room was ready, so we ended up staying on a lower floor when we returned. A butler contacted us in advance to inquire about our itinerary, offer suggestions, and claim they had discounted tickets for performances. However, after checking prices through other channels, we found theirs to be more expensive and politely declined. The butler then became passive-aggressive, which was very uncomfortable. The next morning, the rice noodle stall at breakfast was utterly chaotic; whoever showed up got the noodles. The breakfast greetings also felt abrupt and robotic; it would be better to just cancel them. Regarding the cormorant show in the morning, animal performances are already a sensitive topic, and the staff treated the animals very roughly, grabbing them by the neck and throwing them. With so many children watching, whose concepts and behaviors are still developing, this could easily lead them to imitate such actions and be misguided.
The large lawn had various facilities and activities, including individual rooms with TVs to watch the World Cup, which was a highlight. The main downside is the remote location and poor transportation facilities, making it inconvenient to go anywhere for dining or sightseeing.

Guest UserWe had a great experience staying at Four Seasons. The actual name of the hotel is Four Seasons Fairyland Resort. Special thanks and shoutout to their staff who were brilliant and made our trip so special. Theyâre constantly available on WeChat and would fulfill all our requests in no time. They even helped us in booking tickets for Yangshuo Impression show. I highly recommend this hotel. Our room was inclusive of breakfast but we never woke up in time for breakfast because the bed was so comfortable to sleep on. I even left my cap in the didi taxi whilst returning to the hotel and the staff sat with me for 30 minutes and made sure the didi taxi driver brought my cap back to the hotel. Thank you for the wonderful stay and keep up the great work!

Anonymous UserTraveling around the world experiencing many luxury hotels. I can say for sure this hotel was the best out of all. The staff are very polite and thoughtful. The cleanliness was amazing. The scenery is beyond imagination. From inside the hotel you have access to so many different farms and Natural landscape areas. The management of the hotel was very considerate. We got stuck far away the hotel due to heavy rainfall and they quickly send us the hotel staff to pick us up for free. Amazing all i can say. They also give free photography at scenic areas around the hotel. The photographer was very nice young lady which will never forget âHer name Ciciâ. Kayson, Icey, Meyling, amazing staffs of the hotel. I feel like i have found great friends while staying at this comfortable hotel. I will return for sure. They also gave us a gift on check out. 100% recommend this hotel for family and friends. I am specially grateful for the extra care we received from the manager (yè zi (Leaf)), her professional behavior made everything so comfortable and pleasant.

The hot spring pools on the mountainside, coupled with the distant green peaks, are absolutely stunning. The rooftop infinity pool and Moon Mountain create a picturesque scene. The 270-degree panoramic mountain and water views are incredible! Plus, there's a free shuttle service to the pier for bamboo rafting, which was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be back! The hotel also offered a complimentary travel photography session, and the service was excellent, producing some truly beautiful photos. Ten out of ten!

Guest UserPoised in mountains and waters, nestled in clouds â an exceptional stay at Jiyun Shangyuan Resort Hotel by the Yulong River.
First things first: More than just accommodation, it's a destination.
Yangshuo boasts countless hotels, but Jiyun Shangyuan is an utterly underrated 'heavenly guesthouse'. This stay offered a complete cure for the senses â visual, taste, and soul. Itâs truly a perfect hotel with no flaws!
Reason for a perfect score one: Divine views that 'frame' the karst landscape into your room.
The hotel is located in the heart of the Ten-Mile Gallery, far from the hustle and bustle of West Street, enjoying its own tranquil space.
Our room featured a floor-to-ceiling glass window spanning an entire wall. Honestly, photos don't capture even a tenth of its beauty! The misty green hills of the Yulong River unfold before you like a dynamic IMAX movie. It truly lives up to 'open the window to a view, sleep under the moon, and wake with the sunrise'. Lying in bed gazing at the mountains and waters, or watching stars from the balcony bathtub â this ultimate sense of relaxation is something no other scenic spot along the Li River can offer.
Reason for a perfect score two: Heartfelt service that treats guests like 'family'.
The service here could easily be a textbook example for the industry. If 10 is a perfect score, I'd give it 100 points.
From the butler's proactive contact after booking to the warm reception upon arrival, the entire process was smiling and efficient. When the Li River was flooding, the butler constantly reminded us to be safe. When our child wanted local fruit, the butler thoughtfully provided some. After playing in the water, our clothes got wet, and there's a self-service laundry room. We even forgot our clothes in the laundry, and the butler kindly delivered them to our room. This feeling of 'everything is handled, every need is met' is truly more touching than the standardized service of a five-star hotel.
Reason for a perfect score three: Culinary delights and high-end amenities.
Regarding dining, the Chinese breakfast offered authentic Guilin rice noodles, while the Western breakfast perfectly blended with Lipu taro and pumpkin. The afternoon tea was exquisite, and the coffee at Cloud Restaurant was top-notch, with the Basque cheesecake being unforgettable. The lighting in the restaurant also helps for great photos.
In terms of amenities, the hotel spared no expense: King Koil mattresses, Kohler sanitary ware, Dyson hairdryers, and even a thoughtful self-service laundry room. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, showing attention to detail. It offers the warmth of a guesthouse while maintaining five-star hotel hardware standards.
Reason for a perfect score four: Immersive local cultural experiences.
This place isn't just selling scenery; it's dedicated to sharing culture. The hotel is filled with Zhuang elements. Beyond beautiful decor, you can also enjoy free photo shoots in traditional Zhuang attire. Against the backdrop of the infinity pool and the mountains, every shot looks like a magazine cover.
Furthermore, activities like hand-sewing embroidered balls and making oil tea kept both adults and children engaged. Families with kids don't need to worry about boredom, as the children's playground and pool are enough to tire out the little 'beasts'.
Final thoughts: We'll be back.
Our stay happened during heavy rain, but after the rain cleared, the scenery was even more beautiful. Regardless of the weather, Jiyun possesses a different charm. We even felt a little reluctant to leave. Just like its name suggests, there's an ethereal, otherworldly quality here, yet it's filled with the warmth of home.
If you come to Yangshuo, you must 'waste' your time at Jiyun Shangyuan.
Tips:
¡ We recommend booking a panoramic room type or a family room for the best views.
¡ Definitely try the hotel's electric bicycle rental; the Ten-Mile Gallery is right at the doorstep.
¡ The hotel is very close to the Yulong River rafting (Shuidi section), within walking distance, which is very convenient.

Guest UserIt is the second time I stay in this hotel and I love it very much. I returned this time to bring my mother here!
The hotel's location is great, by the river and close to nature. There are the waterlily ponds around the hotel and you can hear the delightful little frogs croaking at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful with all requests, and the hotel's interior is clean and beautifully designed. The pool is also very pleasant, as are the many activities offered here, and you can rent a scooter easily for convenient transport around.ation is great, by the river and close to nature. This hotel is tucked away in an alley off West Street, making it super convenient to get there. The rooms are clean and beautifully decorated with a unique style. There's a terrace and washing machine on the 5th floor, which is great for drying clothes. Plus, on the 6th floor, there's a viewing platform where you can enjoy the stunning panoramic views of Yangshuo.

Guilin doesn't have a lot of places to explore. I've stayed near the Two Rivers and Four Lakes before, but the hotels there weren't very clean and not suitable for kids. The Shangri-La is a short taxi ride from Elephant Trunk Hill, about 10 yuan for the starting fare, and the surroundings are beautiful. My child, Paopao, had a great time playing. The kids were very happy staying here these past few days. It was a very satisfying trip.

Guest UserThe most comfortable and pleasant night we spent in Yangshuo! The room decor is simple yet elegant, and the whole place is clean and tidy. The private river-view balcony offers a spectacular view directly overlooking the picturesque Li River scenery. The guesthouse's location is excellent, making it very convenient for getting around and shopping. It's far enough from the hustle and bustle of West Street, so it's exceptionally quiet and peaceful at night. The soundproofing is great, ensuring a sound and relaxing sleep. Our stay was absolutely perfect, and the value for money is outstanding. This will be my top choice for Yangshuo, and I'll definitely be back for my next trip!
