Very nice hotel with great location and rooftop pool and terrace with amazing views of river and mountains. The staff was friendly but not a lot of people at the front desk spoke English. We also had a breakfast which was quite good. I would recommend to add some western choices like pancakes, ham, cheese, yogurt bowls.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. We loved this hotel! The service is excellent, the staff team is trying to make your stay comfortable. You won’t miss anything here. They even have a area where the kids can play and feed with rabbits. The room in which we stayed is spacious, clean and nice decorated. The breakfast is good, there are many choices. Hotel is at walking distance from the elephant hill trunk and two rivers and four lakes. Reed flute cave is approx. 15 min drive from hotel. Will come back here again!

We stayed in a family suite and it was perfect for our family of 4. The breakfast was delicious and the view was incredible. The kids crafts were amazing and unique and truly a gift our kids will remember forever. The location was perfect, along a beautiful walkway and close to many restaurants and shops. The hotel staff were so kind to accommodate us as we arrived very early and we were tired from an overnight train trip. The checkin and out was smooth and the amenities were very clean and nice. Wonderful place, we will be back on our next trip to Guilin! I only wish we were able to stay longer!

We are very satisfied with this hotel, I would say this is the best hotel that we ever stayed. The hotel room is clean and super comfortable. Staffs are friendly, polite and helpful. Location is good.Furthermore, the price is very reasonable with such a big room for a family of four, Will definitely book again if I come Guilin again.

The rooms are clean, have enough space and amenities. Towels , water, fridge, AC, a spacious bed. The shower is standout: spacious and with lots of water pressure. The only downside is that the AC system sometimes seemed to be unable to attain the target temperature. Always below 22°C though, so it was ok.
The hotel is located centrally enough, though the neighborhood is nothing special. When arriving we took a short taxi ride (9 min) to see the sun and moon pagodas and eat something.
The views from the hotel are really great. We had a nice view of the city, the Li river and a temple built on a mountaintop (in the middle of the city) from our room.
Check-in and breakfast are at the top floor, which has a great 360° view of everything. The breakfast itself was good, with options both western and chinese.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The 24/7 concierge service (you need a WeChat account, which is a necessity when traveling in China anyway and is easy to create) helped us book a Li river cruise to take the next day, and made sure we knew the details.
All in all, I would recommend the hotel for a short stay in Guilin.

Service was great too - they provided recommendations for us on WeChat and was fast with their replies.

The hotel left only positive impressions! The view is absolutely stunning, especially in the evenings. Of course, it can get a bit noisy in the evening as guests enjoy their time on the premises, but the music shuts off exactly at 11:30 PM, and you can sleep peacefully. A very nice touch was when the reception gave us local delicacies upon our departure — it was an unexpected but very thoughtful gesture. Additionally, we forgot our Euro adapter, and the receptionist literally ran after us for about 7 minutes to return it. We were really touched by the attention to detail and care for the guests. I highly recommend this hotel!

Even before I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I received a message the day before my reservation to call the hotel. When I called, they asked if they could send me a message on Wechat as they didn’t speak English. The staff simply wanted to know my eta so that they could turn the a/c on in the room to cool it down before I arrived.
The hotel is more of a BnB set up than a hotel - similar to a house design. The building is 5 stories high with I guess around 4 rooms on each floor. This makes it perfect to escape the large tourist groups which frequent bigger hotels.
When the taxi pulled up outside on the day of my arrival, 2 staff members rushed out to welcome me. Check-in was quick and they told me that they had upgraded me to a bigger room. They also asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day as they had some different ‘Western’ options (think Chinese idea of Western but still okay). I was able to have toast and fried eggs every day.
The room is really exquisite - I came alone but would definitely recommend for couples as the bathtub is heavenly.
The two balconies offer beautiful views of the karst mountains. The room is also tastefully done up in wicker and white. And the bedding is luxurious. My only recommendation for the room is to add some sachets of instant coffee.
The pool is perfect for a cool down and what a spectacular view from the loungers!
I swam every day and every day while sitting by the pool, the staff brought me some refreshing lemon water to drink. In addition, every day of my stay they brought me something: day 1 - fresh watermelon and some blueberry thing (candy?), day 2 - baby tomatoes and more blueberry things day 3 - apples and peanuts. On checkout, they prepared a local snack and water bottle for the trip home.
The staff at this hotel really go the extra mile and just about bend over backwards to serve you. It’s been a long time since I have seen such eager staff and it makes for a very pleasant change from bored receptionists on their phones.
I cannot rate the hotel highly enough for their excellent hospitality service.
The location is also perfect - away from the main ***** but an easy 15 minute walk to the river rafts and another 5-10min to the ‘town’ and a variety of eating options. That’s when you turn left when you get to the main road from the hotel (5min walk). Turn right at this road and you can comfortably walk (30 min?) to some other sites like the one with the hole in the mountain (overrated) and an exquisite cave - Dragon cave. If you like caves and the formations within I highly rate this cave. It is truly gorgeous. You can also rent bikes or a scooter 10m in front of the hotel.
The staff do not speak English but they communicate via WeChat and are more than happy to help with anything.

The covered trip to Xi Street is a nice touch as well, as it was a solid night time activity.

The location is super good, in the countryside but close to a few restaurants, shops, electrical bike rent, and some scenic spots but also at 10/15 min driving from yangshuo city. The room was huge, as was the bathroom as well, the bed was super comfortable and the bathtub with the view as the balcony was priceless. The staff is really nice and they speak English so the communication was easy. Breakfast with traditional guilin noodles was also super good, highly recommended

Ccchm95Room was very clean, and toilet and shower were separate. Smoking was apparently permitted in rooms despite my request for a non-smoking room, but there was no smoke smell in the room and it was well ventilated with the attached balcony which faced the river and had pretty views. I had issues with the electricity tripping, but the front desk resolved this very quickly by giving me a card specifically for the power outlet in my room. The hotel had washers and dryers for clothes free to use for all guests and even an area with hangers and poles to air dry your laundry, but the time I was there, there were many insects at night (the hotel did put a warning sign at the door). The laundry also apparently closes at 11pm but I did not notice this until I was done with my laundry at 1am. The caretaker who did the evening rounds also did not chase me away and let me use the area until I completed my laundry.
The hotel was located near the Longtoushan pier where the Li River Cruises end and disembark. It’s supposedly a 3-5-min walk from the pier to the hotel, but the area tends to be very crowded as all the cruises tend to arrive together (~1.30-2pm). The stretch of pavement from the pier to the street is also very bumpy and not luggage-friendly, but you may contact the hotel to fetch you with a buggy but they tend to be too busy to accommodate at that time too. Apart from this timing, the street is generally very quiet. If walking at night, i would recommend bringing a torch light as the street is very dark. It’s also a 10-15min walk away from Xijie (west street) where there are many food options and souvenirs. The hotel has an attached cafe and restaurant too if you just want to chill in the afternoon. It’s a little pricey for this area but overall a good and comfortable stay! The rooftop also has very pretty views of the mountains and the river, and a great place for some quiet time in the morning!

ZZunetI usually do not write reviews but this experience has exceeded my expectations in every way that I want to share my experience.
The hotel is very conveniently located close to all the main attractions - very easy to get around, no problem. Because we came during the off season, the owner of the hotel offered to drive us to a nearby market to buy some kumquats (famous in Yangshuo and delicious) and watch a beautiful section of the Yulong river that not many tourists know about. They also helped us buy tickets to watch a show at Romance Park and to Ruyi peak.
This hotel was newly opened this summer so needless to say, everything is very clean and well organized. It’s a tech smart hotel meaning the amenities are very advanced. The toilet and the shower can be a bit confusing when you first use them (there are so mnay buttons!) but it’s very easy once you figure them out. We also saw a corner in the lobby for the little kids to play, which can be a good addition to young families. There are great outside sitting areas as well (including the rooftop), which would be wonderful for barbeques and activities during summer and bike rentals if you’re interested.
Breakfast is simple, delicious, and fulfilling. It’s more of the Chinese style spread, and you even get to try out the famous Guilin mifen (noodles).
I looked at so many hotels and read so many reviews because I wanted to make sure my parents had a comfortable, enjoyable stay (first time visiting China). I’m so glad I chose this one in the end. Every positive review that people said about this hotel is true. It’s a family run hotel, and everyone working there is so welcoming and nice. I would definitely come back when I visit Yangshuo again. My parents were so happy and satisfied with their stay. I would give them more stars and smiley faces if I could! Highly, highly recommended!!!

However, the western food needs improvement, the pasta was really oily, the burger was overcooked and dry. Also, the noise level from trucks on the main road can be heard in the bedrooms. And sometimes can be quite loud.

I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy.
Room Details
We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Facilities and Services
The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it.
Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo.
Customer Service
The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay.
Overall Experience
The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo.
However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness.
In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

You can buy local tours from them. The prices are much cheaper than Trip.com and Klook. The hotel also arrange transportation to Guilin, High speed train station at a very reasonable price.The services rendered at the travel and tour counters are exemplarary.
The receptionist are very helpful. They will try their best to assist you.
Everything is perfect.
The only one small complain that I have is the housekeeping didn't clean/wipe the mirrors. You can see some kind of mucus stains on the mirror left by previous guest (looks like someone has cough on it). It was left on the mirror for the 4 nights we stayed.
Overall it was a good stay and we enjoyed our stay.

GGuest UserThe hotel was good, however, I chose it because all the children amenities that they were advertised, and sadly most of them were non existent or very poorly coordinated. Another major issue is that I booked the hotel because of the indoor pool, which was closed during our whole stay, they offer complentary kids club playground service which was nice, but definitely not enough to.compensate not having a pool, my kid was totally disappointed, as I had mentioned this as a great feature of the hotel. The staff was friendly but if you are choosing the hotel because it's kids friendly, move along as most of the activities aren't really there....
