The room we booked at the beginning was changed decisively by the front desk because the water temperature of the hot spring pool was low. The drinks in the refrigerator are free, and some rooms also have capsule coffee machines. Making your own Americano is also a good option. The front desk service is also super considerate. Everyone entering and leaving will be greeted and asked warmly. It can be seen that the hotel has done a good job in staff training. After staying in so many hotels, this one is really worth recommending! !

Because I missed the high-speed train, I stayed in Tongren for one night. I quickly made a reservation at Lavande, and the hotel chain has the same quality assurance as always. The room we booked was a family room, and the kids were super happy. They loved the hotel robot. The hotel staff provided super good service. They helped with the luggage and checked us in. The front desk lady Xiao He was awesome. She was super gentle and patiently checked us in. 第一印象就是停車好方便，民宿門口就是停車場。前台小妹妹很年輕，不過服務態度挺好，給我們送上熱茶和水果。身旁那位像管理人員很熱情地給我升級了房間，兩個床都是一米八寬，窗外能看到園林廻廊，園林很別緻。下午出去風箏基地玩，回來時發現服務員已提前開好了冷氣，沁心的涼快。退房時隨口跟小妹妹開玩笑問了句能不能贈送梵凈山的門票，小妹妹説如果充值了會員卡就可以申請，她們民宿在很多地方都有分店，還挺聰明的，沒有説不行。

The bedding is clean and tidy. We have booked 6 houses and are very satisfied. We came out Just opposite the train station is the passenger terminal, which is very convenient for travel.

JJamesHarrisIn terms of the ‘hard product’ this may be the best value hotel I’ve ever stayed in, I was genuinely shocked at how wonderful it was and for such a low price. The room and bathroom were flawless and spotlessly clean, to the same standard as any international brand 5 star hotel and far exceeding any expectations I had. The outdoor swimming pool was a very welcome relief from the summer heat and humidity. Despite this, I did feel the service wasn’t to the same standard as the hotel. I had a negative experience when checking in, and with a phone call from the hotel in the following days, that, unfortunately, left a very sour taste in my mouth. I was also surprised that there was no one on the service desk of the pool and spa area to show us to the changing rooms or offer us any towels for swimming. This being said, I would stay here again in an instant and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tongren.

GGuest UserIt was such a surprise find at Fanjingshan. The rooms are big with modern facilities including toilet seat sensor. The inn also has a lift for those with big luggages and don’t want to climb the stairs with them, a feature that is not in all the inns around.
We have such a comfortable stay, even if it was just for a night. We took a didi to the inn in the evening and in the morning, the owner drove us to the gate of Fanjingshan to purchase the tickets. He also offered to pick us up when we are done for the day at fjs. He also helped us to engage a driver who drove us to fenghuang ancient town for a fair price based on our cab fare from Tongren to fjs. I will definitely recommend this inn which is also new, opened in March 2023.

GGuest UserBeaaaaautiful guesthouse with a beautiful view on the mountain. Its very quiet and peaceful, about 10-15mins walk from the small village where the restaurants are.
The rooms are nicey designed and decorated, all by the owner himself. You can see he put a lot of love and effort in it.
The rooms we stayed in had a big window and terrace, so we woke up to the mountains and the many flowers they planted around the guesthouse which was really nice.
The owner and his family are super nice and helpful with everything.
Only thing that we didnt like too much are the disposable towels, guesthouse owner explained its for hygiene purpose, but still prefer towels that can be reused.
Breakfast is very simple as they run the place all on their own and dont have the capacity yet.

MMark123456Booked 3 nights in the ”Elegant Residence City-View Double Bed Room” at the Fanbo Yashe Hotel. Overall, it was a good experience and a comfortable stay. The front desk was quite helpful, especially the wonderful receptionist Xiaoya, who assisted me with numerous things with enthusiasm, such as answering any questions, showcasing the various free amenities in the lobby, giving a quick demonstration of how to use the shared laundry area, and offered additional water or other services as needed. The bed and other furniture were comfortable and clean. The shower and bathroom area were fairly good as well. The atmosphere and decor of the room were probably the best thing. Most hotels have a stereotypical and replicated hotel room, but this hotel's rooms give you something more enjoyable since it is a different style from the norm.
Special note on cleanliness: I did want to give this a 4.5, but kept it rounded-up to a 5 since it was minor enough. The room did have some leftover sunflower seed shells in a few corners or where a piece of furniture meets the floor, and a little bit of dirt stuck where the floor layers overlap in the middle of the room. However, it was not that big of a deal. This is maybe a reminder for the hotel to take a second look where dirt or trash may get stuck when simply sweeping or mopping quickly.
Special note on the bathroom mirror lighting: The lighting by the bathroom sink and mirror could use some more direct lighting, since the position of the current lighting is not too strong and caused shadows on the face. This is not a big issue, but it could prove inconvenient to others, such as women putting on make up or trying to carefully trim a beard. The top-down lighting can cause shadows and unclear views under the eyes, nose, lips, and neck.
Tips for guests:
Name of the Hotel: While this website says Fanbo Yashe, you may actually see it named Van Gogh's Garden in person. Don't be confused; it is the same place. ”Fanbo” is related to the Chinese name for Van Gogh, ”Fan Gao”.
Laundry: Yes, is it available, but there is only one washer and dryer available (hopefully these are increased to two or three!). Laundry detergent is provided. It can be a little troublesome trying to manage around other guests, so it is likely best to do it during the day when people are busy. There is also some nearby clotheslines one can use or just hang in your room if there is not too much.
Foreigner Friendliness: Very good. They'll use Wechat to translate and communicate with you if necessary or find some other methods. In short, foreigners should have an easy time here. If other receptionists are friendly like Xiaoya, then there is nothing to worry about.
Attraction Services: The hotel seems to offer some ticket and transportation services for nearby attractions (or at least advertises third-party services), but I did not use them and cannot attest to them.
Location: It is right next to the bus station in Tongren (and a few streets away from the train station). Once the bus drops you off in the lot, you will need to exit the lot and head slightly east towards the nearby main street, then make your way south. You should encounter the hotel next to where the bus tickets are sold.

GGuest UserWe enjoyed our stay at Yunfu. We arrived a little earlier than check in, so we went to wait by the pagoda in the square. literally two minutes walk. At night the square comes to life but we were able to sleep peacefully. The owners (I presume) were really welcoming and helped us buy tickets for the mountain. they drop and collected us from the bottom of the mountain. nice touch that we appreciated. The room is nicely decorated and has a worth about it. its clean and has AC. The beds are comfy. pillows ok. There is a restaurant just outside the hotel door to the right. we went to the one to the right but across the small road. awesome fish and bamboo. Its a nice town for like 2-3 days. We arranged with the taxi driver who drove us from train station to hotel to pick us up when we went back. very affordable prices. P.S: if you are gonna go during a holiday or summer/winter holidays BOOK YOUR TICKES IN ADVANCE. or call the hotel to help you.And go in the morning. You will understand why when you are half way up. the hotel was were really helpfully a week before we even arrived. We would stay again.

Hotel Room: Good. The automatic toilet feature was a highlight.
Cleanliness: Good, but there is potential for improvement.

Value for Money: Acceptable for a 4-5 star hotel, but the value is diminished by the subpar service. Improvements in customer service and satisfaction are necessary to justify the cost.
Overall Experience: Unsatisfactory, especially compared to my other stays at Wyndham hotels. This particular experience did not meet the standards expected from the Wyndham brand, leading to disappointment.

Walking distance from train station. You can walk into the central town but there is a nearby bus stop too (although all the buses I went on were crammed). Also walking distance to the tourist centre bus stop to other cities. Has shops below. I think I might have struggled a bit to find it if they hadn't seen me. quite a nice view of the surrounding buildings and their lights
A bit grubby around the edges e.g. the toilet hadn't been cleaned and it was very close to the shower, but it is so cheap you can't really complain

Room was very clean, great shower, squat toilet. Hotel is a short walk from West Gate, you can follow the road or cut through the trees. We ate at the hotel first evening upon arrival and the food was good home cooking, we also had the noodle breakfast which was basic but good. We were lucky to have great weather on Fanjingshan but it's a stiff hike from West Gate and our legs were sore the next day. After our day on the mountain we stopped at a restaurant close to the gate, and returned here on our second night because the food was fresh, tasty, good value, and they have an excellent view of the mountain opposite (see photos). On our second day we took a taxi down the mountain to the nearest town (taxis use the charging points opposite the hotel) but we had trouble getting back and were fortunate to hitch a lift. The West Gate is preferable to East Gate but it's better to have a car.

There is a lack of willingness to help. When you ask for help in booking a taxi, they give you a number and tell you to do it yourself. This is not the service I expect from a hotel at that price. I have never encountered a hotel so unwilling to help in any way.
They did not help us to buy tickets for the mountain (which considering they are next to, is the one service they should provide! Every other hotel we have visited on our tour has helped us with attraction tickets). Foreigners cannot buy tickets without a Chinese ID. However, the hotel insisted we buy advance tickets, so we got a friend to help us instead. This was the wrong information: we were able to buy tickets on the day and could not use a friend’s ID! It is unacceptable to have such little information about the one tourist site next door; the only reason guests are staying in this remote location.
Our check-in also took longer than usual, and breakfast is apparently a ‘tour group’ style breakfast voucher. All in all, a disappointing stay. However as the hotel has a great location and nice rooms, this is easily fixable.
