Already visited here a few times. Worth it since they renovated and added the pool and garden area (for photo area).
Big room, using smart TV connected to wifi and can access to your favourite shows (not many hotels got this. Even 5 stars hotel also very very seldom using smart TV, unless Airbnb). This is a very very added value point for this hotel.

This is the 3rd trip to Penang in past 12 months, and always choose Olive Tree. Close to airport and Bayan Lepas which is the heart of semiconductor in Penang. Rooms are clean and staffs are friendly. The restaurant next door opens 24 hours, no need to worry if some mid night snack is needed.

This was our 1st time at Amari Spice but from the on set was a bad experience. Driving into the hotel I could not drive to the lobby entrance to drop my family & luggage as it was blocked for some reason best known to Amari. Security at the entrance was of no help & I ended up blocking the way of a car at the back. What was supposed to be destress trip, started off on bad note. Anyway cursing Amari Spice for being worst than a 1 star hotel, I reversed back into the lobby entrance. Told this bad experience while checking in to the front office staff but they were not bothered Going to the room found the mattress to be too soft sinking when you lay down & the air cond temp tops up at 26.5 degress, not everyone likes the room super cold. These 2 shortcomings are something that you wld not find in a 4 or 5 star hotels but looks like Amari is still figuring out where they stand. Even many 3 star hotels are better. Moving to the shower both rain & hand shower water flow was dispointing at best with temperature regulation being a challenge. Since my home is at Bukit Jambu & the main reason of chosing Amari was to destress, which was not possible with the said room conditions, I had to leave my family both nights to head home to rest. The matteress, shower & air cond at home the best. Wondering how Amari claims to be home away from home. On a good note the staff were courteous & friendly. Inclosing would I stay at Amari Spice again. NO.

the room different from photo shown on the website.the room provided was small for my family of 4 even though the receptionist said they provide us the new launched room which suitable for family.i knew because a friend of mine who stayed there was given a lot bigger room and she paid same price as me and she stayed with her sister only. i felt cheated and disappointed.

I place 3 star for cleanliness as I can smell body sweat smell once I enter the room and also along my floor corridor.
It’s probably from the unchanged bed sheets / quilt cover as I was told if the guests didn’t ask to change the bed sheets it won’t be replaced.
There’s is a card that you have to place on the bed if you have your room for make up.
But the towels also has this bad smell even though it’s new.
Perhaps Eastin Hotel Penang has to change who does their laundry.

I stayed at Cititel Express hotel Georgetown and the towels got no bad smells , and even though their room is smaller but at least the bed sheets are fresh and no sweat smell.
Breakfast buffet is excellent - all is ok except I want to recommend to not make the quiche base sweet…. It’s supposed to be savoury ( it was mushroom and tomato filling ) so why you make it sweet??

It was a very bad experience to check in here. First day when check in my room, the cleaning was too bad as picture I provide 1-7.used face mask hang at the cabinet,used face mask on top of the cabinet, tower at floor, tissue at floor,stain in the cup.unknow stain in the toilet, blood on the pillow case, snack at the floor. when staff come over the room also can't accept this happen. Very appreciate night shift staff help me to change another room for one night.(this was my room) Picture 8 is my fren room, tissue and sugar paper hidden beside bed.and the room full of u know smell. But my fren was not change the room, just ask tomorrow must come to do cleaning. 2nd day morning me move back to previous room..my room is ok, but my fren room been ask to do cleaning, cleaner report done cleaning.. But even we go out for half day and back to hotel..their never do any cleaning to my fren room. The tissue and sugar paper are still there...we do complain again.and staff change another 2 room to us immediately. OK fine, change the room again.. But my room toilet tower was totally wet as picture 9... I really don't know what to said... We pay 4days 3 night almost 520 per person... But we get this experience.. Do hope deview management can really double check the room was clean and tidy before let customer live in and make sure the cleaner do well all their job since now are still pendemic covid 19... Anyway, their staff was very helpful and appreciated for their good attitude and friendly attention.

Flamingo is a lovely, modest hotel with excellent service and a great location.
The pool is maintained to very high standard with the pool attendant happy, friendly, up for a laugh as well as entertaining the kids. The pool is closed between 11-12 for cleaning and the attendant takes this job exceptionally seriously so the pool is always immaculate.
There is a pool bar but service during the week is limited - better on weekends. Access to the beach is at the back of the pool and is less than ten steps into the water (although there is plastic in the water and apparently jelly fish at times but we didn’t experience that).
Rooms are basic and clean each with a balcony. I didn’t get the beach view and was disappointed when my friends were as their view was stunning.
The location is great with the aforementioned beach access but also a few great restaurants across the road, SAB Is a Malaysian restaurant with all sorts of food including banana leafs and breakfast. Next door is a Lebanese restaurant called Lebanese Garden which is pricy for Malaysia but very delicious. Home Cafe has decent European breakkie (again more expensive than SAB) and there is a local breakfast market 300’ away that is outstanding local food and does a night market on Tuesdays.

Such a beautiful seaview from our room window. we had such a pleasant time staying at this hotel. room is quite spacious. very comfortable bed and pillow. room cleanliness was good too. we had an enjoyable breakfast experience and my kids love playing at the beach and kid's pool. there was a long check in time when we arrived at hotel around 3.30pm. but other than that, all was enjoyable time.

GGuest UserIs an excellent locations where you can find so many eateries around the hotel in fact don't need to have breakfast at the hotel. There is a famous KAYU NASI KANDAR with good breakfast. Of course lunch dinner and supper as well. Hotel is very clean and spacious with an excellent service rates 4 star on the service cause we had to call 3x to get an assistance with our luggage to bring it down as we have a lot of luggages.
Overall is a very good hotel strongly recommended.

SShafiq_GhazieMade a last minute booking at this hotel; for a one night stay. Arrived in the evening; yeah they ad the rooms ready. Staff were decent. Good size lobby. The room Got the rooms on the 3rd floor. There is a lift; so easy to go up. Small room. Toilet seems big for budget hotel. Towel was superb; fluffy and fresh. Good hot shower with good water pressure. Just the air condition was not that cold at all. Moving around is easy with Grab. There are many food store nearby. Overall, this place is decent if you have things to do in Bayan or Airport area. Just dont expect much.

He is a gracious and wonderful host! I arrived to have a look at the rooms a week before check in and Mr Zaid graciously showed us a few rooms. On the day of check in, my friend’s credit card was declined but Mr Zaid allowed us to check in anyway and said we could pay later. Unbelievable!! He even offered us free parking throughout our stay! Always smiling and really just a pleasant person to meet! When we came back after dinner, we realized the room didn’t have bedroom slippers. I went to front desk to ask and the gentleman there apologized because they have ran out of supplies. However, he didn’t stop there. Instead, he went to look for unoccupied room by room to see if there were any extras. Really above and beyond expectations of a 3-Star hotel. For RM100+ per night, you’ll get a tastefully decorated hotel room with full hotel amenities like TV, toothbrushes, bottled water, coffee, hair dryer. Hot and cold water dispenser, iron and ironing board are available in the common area. At Eureka, you will get the warmth of a homestay and the feel of a hotel. I would totally recommend this hotel to all my friends! Thank you Mr Zaid and team!

4429HappyI paid this hotel a visit to see at first time a traditional Malay Hotel. I was not disappointed. The entrance foyer have a number of old artefacts including very old fishing boats. There is a famous restaurant entrance via Moroccan Style windows. Nearby a must to visit is the charming Sam Poh Footprint Temple.

GGuest UserThis accommodation is located right in front of Nasi Kandar Penang Kayu which opens 24 hours. Queensbay mall is nearby and only takes around 15 mins to the airport (subject to traffic) so as we only stayed 1 night to catch an early flight, it was convenient - location wise. No wifi provided though. Really have table tennis/ping pong table, dart games and movie (we didnt watch any) as seen on the pictures. The building is a bit outdated though. The tenant contacted us directly via Whatsapp and the explanation about the facility was very very clear and helpful.

GGuest UserI call this a high end prison cell maybe suitable for you know who ex-PM. I'm pretty used to hostel environment and budget hotel but this takes the cake. Be warned, for the price you pay, you would be better off in some other hotel at Georgetown itself that is much cheaper and offer better service and facility. I won't even want to stay 1 day in here. And just take a Grab or a half hour bus ride on Bus Service 403E to this location if you really need to be here. The picture from the other reviews pretty much sums it up. 4 blank walls, a bed without head rest a small writing desk with a plastic chair. And a tv with local channels only on the wall but like most Penang hotel that I encountered, the reception only seems to start working well in the evening. Daytime image is grainy. Water heater is always on -normal. Only soap supplied was in a bottle that looked like it was from a dish washing detergent bottle dispenser. Reception Desk is sometimes not available and room guest has their key card to tap to enter the hotel. Hence you need to make an appointment if you are coming at odd hours else there is no way in. I guess anyone staying here is just to attend some exhibition at Spice Arena. I made a wrong choice by changing my hotel stay to here thinking I could store my luggage while I toured the exhibition on the last day. I needed to leave at 4.30pm to head to the airport but told that they couldn't commit that anyone being around to to open the door for me to take out my luggage as check out time was 12pm sharp. No late checkout is allowed. Checked in was only 2 -3 pm only as counterstaff wanted to go home early that day. I reached around 11am and had to leave luggage there and come back again at 2.30pm. I'm fine with the staff having to leave early due to an prior appointment but you could then be flexible and allow me to check in at 11am. Hence my trip at the exhibition at Spice Arena was interrupted by running back to check in and then heading back to the exhibition after that. Counter staff was not really friendly. I was doing more of the greetings then her. Since this felt like a prison cell, her role probably was a prison warden. Only plus point was the water cooler(hot water available) in the reception but couldn't get a hot drink as no cup was available there. Only plus point- In the evening if you bother to walk opposite Spice Arena, there is a food centre called PISA Centre which offer good and reasonable food. Sadly in the morning, it is closed and finding a reasonable breakfast is out. Nearest housing area choices were not that great! No mall nearby too. Hence if you have to stay here, remember to BYO things especially a cup.

MMohd Iskandar II love budget hotels... Been to lots of them and I know the expectation when staying at this kind of accommodation. Cheap, basic amenities, no frills concept. However Hotel Seri Malaysia Pulau Pinang just set a new standards of how a hotel should not be. I've stayed with them a couple of years ago and I know how bad their services are, but after several years maybe they might consider improving at least a little, but they prove me wrong. Check in 2 days ago, and the impression is not good. Complaints from the customers at the counter (hot water, cleanliness, etc). I thought maybe he was because bg fussy. I've got the 3rd floor room which is not a problem without lift. The room is ok but the air-conditioning is unreliable. The temperature control doesn't really works. The breakfast buffet nothing special with limited spread. I saw few tourists who bring in their own food. Don't know why but I assumed the choices of F&B is not enough for them. And the seating are so limited. I know that it is School holiday session but when the customers standinh for 10 minutes with food on their hand and no one even give a damn, then it is intolerable. I do ask for a container for me to take away the food, but as if they care. So.. Seri Malaysia hotel... If you do read this review, good, please do something for the sake of your own good. For me, no more Seri Malaysia ever. To be honest I'm ashamed they have Malaysia in their brand. Change to other name please
