Mercure Penang Beach

the best hotel in penang... friendly enviroment... the food very best...

Thank you Mercure Beach Hotel for making my request come true and giving my child a birthday surprise this year. The hotel has a really beautiful sea view. The beach is well maintained even though it’s not that big. The room is clean and honestly, the pillows are the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Even though it’s close to the main road, the room is well soundproofed. Only downside, the water pressure is a bit low. The soap & shampoo are Made in Italy and smell really nice. I was quite surprised with the breakfast menu, this is my first time seeing a hotel serve spaghetti, and I forgot the name of the beef dish (the one in the picture), but it was really good! The food was nicely seasoned, not too salty. There’s also quite a good variety of food and drinks. Definitely will repeat again one day 👍

Stayed here for 3 nights (superior ocean king room; no breakfast). Overall, we enjoyed our stay. 👍: 1) Seaview from room is pretty. 2) Alnost all amenities in the room work well. 3) Big pool and spacious functional gym with seaview. 4) Easy access to the beach. 5) Many lounge chairs around the pool and on the beach. 6) Several power outlets around the room (some do not need adapter). 👎: 1) The small fridge door cannot be closed. 2) Sound proof in the room could be better. 3) Many lounge chairs do not have cushions. 4) Pillow cases have stains but housekeeping changed them once reported. Tip: we enjoyed the food at "Restoran Arati Vilas Banana Leaf" across the street very much. Had breakfast there everyday.

Hotel is clean. And good for family. Cause come with connecting room. Love the location, very convenience to town. And yet got beach to enjoy. Definetely will come back again.

mmm..where should i start...check in at 4pm, room not ready..aircond not working well, need to change to another room but facing same problem. breakfast choice ok. but the only thing i believe help the hotel is the location near to beach.

We fell in love with this hotel during our first stay last year, and this is now our second visit. We really appreciate the ambience, and the room is spacious with a stunning view, even though it does not face the sea. The only area for improvement would be the food. We ordered several items via room service, and unfortunately, the taste was quite bland and not quite up to hotel standards. We also requested cut chillies and had to wait a long time. When we followed up, the response from the restaurant was simply, “Do you want us to send them now?”, which was a bit disappointing. Overall, we still enjoy the stay, but the dining experience could certainly be improved.

The hotel has access to beach. Convenient store and food court within walking distance. Hot water is excellent. It is a good choice for relaxation and exploring Penang by car.

Perfect.. amazing place and beach. Nice parking, easy to find a parking. Great breakfast. Lots of breakfast. Variety. Nasi lemak kurma, nasi goreng kampung, etc. i love to stay here again
