The hotel has a fantastic central location in the city. It was clean, bright and freshly decorated whilst having the charm of being a period property. Long stay parking (Charlotte Street) was a 7 minute walk away, so not too bad but there is also a short stay car park (Broad Street) behind the hotel if you need to be nearer to drop off bags.

I stayed with my family at Travelodge, Bath Central Saturday night and left Sunday. Although we had a great 2 days in Bath, unfortunately i left my iPad in our room. I phoned up Sunday night from home, and Mia on reception reassured me that the iPad had been passed to reception - thanks to Chloe the cleaner - and was in the safe. I sent a padded envelope- postage paid - to reception on Monday. Tuesday, one of the reception team called me to let me know that the return envelope had been delivered and the iPad would be posted that day. Today the postman delivered it. Reassuring, efficient and effective service from both the cleaning lady (Chloe) and the Reception team (Mia). Many thanks...

Room on the top, 3rd floor, was clean and free of noise from the street or other rooms. The room was large, with ample wardrobe storage. We didn't use the breakfast box service and ate out locally. Wagamamas is next door and other places to eat are nearby. We used the Broad Street Carpark which is in a courtyard behind the hotel. Staff were helpful at the reception and it was a pleasant stay.

Overall very poor, heating often made the room feel like sauna, lighting from the car park came through curtains at night, shower was never overally warm even when turned up to max. The vent was very loud and came on at 5am! Hotel in general needs upgrading.

This place is an insult to Bath and a disgrace to the Travelodge brand. On arrival at around 6.30pm the reception staff were nowhere to be found. There is a half inch thick perspex screen in front of the desk and a notice directing guests to phone an 0800 number. No answer. When the staff finally appear from the bowels of the building I realise the screen is probably there to protect the guests rather than the other way round. Dodgy to say the least... Checked in and headed upstairs to the room. Greeted with a wee jobby left in the bowl by the previous guest and flushed it away...eventually. Notice that there is no toilet paper and head back to 'reception' but the staff have descended back to Middle Earth so no chance of a replenishment. Vow to pick up some from a local pub as I venture out to get away from the place. Pre-paid wi-fi doesn't work. Room is cold. Constant noise in the corridors and scrotes fighting outside during the night. Needless to say I had a sleepless night. The hotel is cheap and it's central. But it's still an abomination. Please don't go there.

We checked in late as we had been seeing family for the day. I was travelling alone with my two children so they were both tired when we arrived. We were given a key not given any instructions as to where our room was so just had to find our way. The room was big and spacious but very basic. My child’s bed had hair in it, the bathroom floor was filthy and I couldn’t have a shower and it was brown. The noise from outside was awful as we were on a main road. Will not be rushing back unfortunately.

A very worn down Travelodge. Carpets are old and worn throughout, especially through corridors. We had to move rooms because the bathroom wasn’t clean and even the next room wasn’t very clean. A very basic stay for an expensive price. Location is the only good thing about this hotel.
