Hotels in Bathwick, Bath

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. Affordable and good value for money. It's not too far from the city center, you can walk there or take a bus and it's just a short walk from the bus stop. The room was clean, though the walls were a bit thin, and I could hear people while trying to sleep.

Perfect spot for exploring Bath, very central and easy to walk to the station, shops and attractions. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed, and felt secure in the lovely courtyard. We extended our stay as we felt so at home there. There looked to be a secure left luggage store which we may have used if we’d seen it earlier. Would be useful to have info about this in the apartment info pack. There is some noise from the street for apartment 7, partly from early deliveries to Thermae Spa which is directly opposite, and also from people wandering through the echoey passageways at night. We got used to it by the end of our stay, but light sleepers might prefer one of the inward facing apartments.

This is an apartment in a great location, next to Bath Pedestrian Street, and the Bath Bath is close by. But do n’t live here if you do n’t have enough English or you are in a hurry. Because the hotel's reception is at another hotel. When I arrived, I called the phone above the door, and the phone gave me a password to open the door. The apartment door was unlocked and the key was on the table. The door of the apartment was indeed locked. They asked me to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes, it was raining outside, and I was in a bad mood with the children. So English is not good, or do n’t book here if you only live one or two days. But the room facilities and equipment are still very complete. It is the second floor where we live, the ground is not flat, the ground of the whole building is very inclined to the side, so the feeling of living is still a bit uncomfortable

The location is incredibly convenient. It's only a few minutes' walk to the train station, and even closer to the Roman Baths and the Abbey – just a three-minute stroll. The breakfast was excellent, and the service was great too.

The room was fully furnished with a clean, refreshing style, and the location was excellent. Communication from the hotel was also timely, which I really appreciated. However, there was one thing that was honestly very annoying: the seagulls on the rooftop and terrace were screeching all night long.
