An amazing hotel. The staff responded to every additional question without any problems. The food in the hotel restaurant was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious, with a huge bathroom, shower, and bathtub. The hotel has a swimming pool and sauna available until 10 p.m. The reception was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely recommend it to friends and will gladly return

The waiting area for check-in is very British and beautiful. We booked a classic room, which requires us to walk through the main building, pass the garden, and come to the second floor of a stable. The room is clean and the toilet is relatively large. But the location is a bit disappointing. The high price and high positioning of the hotel make us automatically assume that the view of the room will be particularly good, overlooking the city of Bath. The actual situation is disappointing. Looking out is the street view on the other side, and I dare not open the window. The pure British white old man helps you carry the luggage, making you feel embarrassed not to tip. The restaurant is very delicious, and the cauliflower is especially delicious. In this place, you have to keep communicating and making requests. They can do better.

This hotel in Bath offers excellent value for money. It's just a few minutes' walk from Bath's main street, making it a very central location. Being so close to the main street means easy access to all sorts of restaurants, supermarkets, and Bath's main attractions (the Abbey, Roman Baths, River Avon) – all within walking distance. The main draw is definitely the affordable price, which really makes it great value. The room was a bit small, but it had all the necessary amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Everything was amazing, we only have the following comment: we booked city view room, but we got upper ground floor room, with inner view, matted windows and windows could not be opened, and in the morning you could feel the breakfast smell. Overall the hotel is still amazing, clean, nice staff, good breakfast, amazing location and we would chose it again.

The Griffin offers comfortable character accommodation with a contemporary twist. We are situated just off Queens Sq. and therefore extremely well located for guests to take advantage of everything the Historic city of Bath has to offer. Our team are very knowledgeable about our beautiful city and happy to help with planning your visit making suggestions for restaurants and assist with any bookings you may require. Our rooms each have a character of their and all feature own shower room, coffee machine and hairdryer together with high quality bathroom accessories, bedding and towels. We do not offer breakfast but there are several local cafés on Kingsmead Square, open from around 7.30am. The Griffin Inn serves food from Midday, brunch on Saturdays and traditional Sunday roasts on each week together with a contemporary food menu offering Proper pub food.

My daughter and I had a lovely time at the spa. Wish we could stay longer to try the F&B outlets. Would be wonderful if toothbrush can also be provided. Service was great and staff were attentive.

The location of the hotel is very good located in the city center but due to several bars nearby, very noisy at night, every night you have to bring earplugs to fall asleep. The noise does not stop until about two or three o'clock.Water for shower in the washroom The pressure is very low, it will be easy to get cold if you take a shower in winter. The washing machine does not have a drying function, so the chance of using it is not high.

This hotel is just a 2-minute walk from Bath Spa station. It's located in a charming century-old building, but the facilities are new and unique. A big thank you to Emily at the front desk for arranging a garden room for me and for thoroughly explaining all the hotel's amenities. It's close to all the attractions in Bath, offers great value for money, and comes highly recommended!

Attended on Tuesday 27th Feb. Paid a little extra for room with a bath as like the couple ****** we are, we wanted a bath in Bath. My wife's first time ever visiting here. The hotel is a lovely setting, there is history here and all the staff have been wonderful. Close to the station, literally in front of it, and close to everything. Had the great pleasure of having many encounters with Tim, one of the reception staff and I believe concierges. Super pleasant and always helpful. We had breakfast included and after having that this morning can honestly say it's bang for your buck, with hot food to order including steak and eggs, (best steak my wife has had in the UK), a breakfast grill and a selection of others plus a typical selection of baked goods and fruits. The bar is pleasant and we enjoyed drinks last night before heading up to our room. Strawberry daiquiri we have had many times but the Amaretto sour was an interesting twist with a strong lemon zest. The only downside to the visit would be the bath/shower experience. Lukewarm bath and cold shower when we attempted it last night. This morning we got hot water for a total of ten mins to share before it went cold again. Not the worst thing all in all but a downside considering the extra pricing for a bathtub room. I was however assured that had I brought it to the desks attention I would have been assisted and I had just done the British thing of not wanting to fuss. One last perk that made an impact to me; free luggage storage. We checked out early so we could make the best of our time exploring Bath before we ride home. We were offered free luggage storage for even after we checked out so we could come back in quick before our train at 3pm and grab our bags and go, no extra charge. Fantastically useful as the Abbey tour does not allow luggage inside and we wanted to go. Anyway, thank you to Tim and all the staff at The Royal for making us feel welcomed and our time there special, we will definitely be coming back someday soon and will stay again. - Liam and Jenny Stephenson, Room 109. The hotel all in all is very good. Clean, polite staff and location is perfect. Parking will have to be in the public parking around the corner which is about £20 for a day. Online it said the hotel offers halal food but once we got there they said they aren't sure they do it. The staff also informed us that we wouldn't be able to eat at the restaurant that day because they were booked for a function, but we feel this should've been communicated beforehand by email etc. Other than this I think this hotel is the best in the area and is very classy and welcoming.

Breakfast can choose a traditional English breakfast, very good, if you want to park, the owner has a permit to stop across the road, to add 5 pounds, check out in the morning to find the beauty in the kitchen. Google uses the zip code is not reliable, the postal code is behind the parking lot, 500 meters nearby, cross the road to go down, there is a big sainbury supermarket near the river, through the parking lot is the royal new moon, the location is good.

Perfect spot for exploring Bath, very central and easy to walk to the station, shops and attractions. The apartment was spotlessly clean with everything we needed, and felt secure in the lovely courtyard. We extended our stay as we felt so at home there. There looked to be a secure left luggage store which we may have used if we’d seen it earlier. Would be useful to have info about this in the apartment info pack. There is some noise from the street for apartment 7, partly from early deliveries to Thermae Spa which is directly opposite, and also from people wandering through the echoey passageways at night. We got used to it by the end of our stay, but light sleepers might prefer one of the inward facing apartments.

Central location helps to overcome the cramped feeling staying in the annexe. The car was parked at the other end of town and drop off was difficult to say the least but it is what it is. I had no reason whatsoever to check out the main building reception, breakfast area perhaps a bar and lounge area too because nothing pointed me there! So generally, it was a room in a loft space built to an ”average” measure. I never like shower cubicles where I tend to bang elbows and worry about breaking something when I drop the soap. Breakfast price was horrendous so no inclination to walk in on the hop to check it out for the 2 nights stayed. I felt detached, cramped and in a bed-sit like accommodation. It is what it is.

The place was extremely cozy and pretty too. Had little expectations when booking a guesthouse, but the place exceeded my expectations. The location was convenient too, to hangout at Bath. The bed was cozy. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Loved the stay overall and would definitely visit them again if I come back to Bath.

Traditional local homestays, friends who want to experience British style can try. The front desk brother is very warm, there are maps and promotional pages at the entrance, the room is fully equipped, and coffee and biscuits are also provided. The downside is that the bed is too small ╮ (╯▽╰) ╭ My 1.68 normal height, my feet basically stick out, it is difficult to turn over and fall out of the bed 😂 Other cost-effective is very high!

We stayed in a triple room and were delighted with the comfort and cleanliness. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing - 2 of us had the full English and 1 had avocado, smoked salmon and poached egg on toast. There was also a selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, juices, pastries, coffee and tea. All delicious. The location is superb, being very central.

This is an apartment in a great location, next to Bath Pedestrian Street, and the Bath Bath is close by. But do n’t live here if you do n’t have enough English or you are in a hurry. Because the hotel's reception is at another hotel. When I arrived, I called the phone above the door, and the phone gave me a password to open the door. The apartment door was unlocked and the key was on the table. The door of the apartment was indeed locked. They asked me to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes, it was raining outside, and I was in a bad mood with the children. So English is not good, or do n’t book here if you only live one or two days. But the room facilities and equipment are still very complete. It is the second floor where we live, the ground is not flat, the ground of the whole building is very inclined to the side, so the feeling of living is still a bit uncomfortable
