Beach Hotels in Seogwipo

We had such a warm and memorable stay as a mum travelling with my adult daughter, all thanks to our wonderful host, Mr Doldam and his lovely wife, Sue. Communication was so easy as they speak English well, and they thoughtfully shared helpful tips on places to visit around Jeju, which made our trip even more enjoyable. We accidentally stayed out past 9pm and missed our bus, and our host kindly came to pick us up from the village stop about 10 minutes away—something we truly appreciated. They also helped send us off to the bus stop for our airport transfer, making everything feel smooth and well taken care of. Breakfast was a real treat too—simple and wholesome, especially the homemade bread and tangerine jam 🍊 It truly felt like being welcomed into a home, not just a place to stay. Thank you!

Absolutely loved this hotel! 1. The staff were all incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help, even with a slight language barrier. 2. The hotel facilities are excellent, especially the large and safe swimming pool. 3. It's within walking distance to Pyo Seon Beach, which was clean and not too crowded. I'll definitely be back and will recommend it to all my friends!

I've been back home for a week, and I finally have time to write a detailed review of this hotel, named after the ancient Silla kingdom. First, the good points, which are the only things I found worthwhile. The hotel is built into a cliff, boasting unique natural scenery. It cleverly integrates lush vegetation into one side of the hotel, creating a rich and layered temperate island characteristic. Strolling through it is incredibly relaxing. In the distance is the surging sea, and nearby are cliffs and a sandy beach – being there is truly enjoyable. Now that I've covered the good, here are the things I found intolerable and unacceptable: 1. The room the hotel provided was not the one I booked. I had reserved a mountain-view room with a balcony, but they gave me a room without a balcony, and the window overlooked a parking lot. 2. After I requested a change, the hotel moved me to another room. It did have a balcony, but it was still near the parking lot. 3. What made me even angrier was that the hotel clearly hadn't cleaned thoroughly. In the new room, I found uncleaned hair in the sink and water stains in the bathroom. The picture shows hair in the basin. 4. After communicating with the hotel again through Trip.com, the hotel staff at the front desk was expressionless throughout, with dull eyes and mechanical service, showing no apology whatsoever. They showed me another room that was even worse than the current one. I had no choice but to ask the hotel staff to clean it again, and I ended up waiting for nearly two extra hours because of this. 5. The hotel breakfast was terrible. The local specialty food was extremely unappetizing and hard to swallow. The coffee used low-quality beans. There was an area that seemed to be for Chinese food, which was completely unrecognizable. The fruit selection was basic, truly basic. The only edible options were the Western food and ice cream, which were actually good. Perhaps you might think my review is harsh, but given the room rate I paid, I feel I have the right to be this critical. And for breakfast, at nearly 300 RMB per person, honestly, 'basic' is the only word I can use, especially for the fruit. The entire staff at the Shilla Hotel seemed to have a grim, tense, and deliberately distant demeanor, which was genuinely off-putting. Overall, I'd say this hotel completely fails to meet expectations. Many areas need significant improvement. If I had to choose again, I definitely wouldn't stay here.

Lotte Hotel is located in the heart of Seogwipo's resort area. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we were met with warm service and a relaxing, vacation vibe. Being a resort hotel, the rooms are incredibly spacious. We booked a family room this time, with one single and one double bed, and the single bed was even big enough for two people to sleep comfortably. One of the best things is that you can walk directly from the hotel to Jungmun Beach (though it's a 10-minute walk down some stairs). The hotel also has its own outdoor pool, which was great for the kids to splash around in. We could spend the whole day there, eating and drinking without ever leaving the pool. The changing rooms at the pool were also convenient for showering, and we even played there for a while after checking out. Right outside the hotel, there's a convenience store and a few restaurants. A 10-minute walk brings you to a McDonald's and more dining options. This whole area is a resort district with many hotels, so the roads and commercial areas are well-planned together, making for a pleasant and convenient environment. My only complaints were that we were only assigned a room on the 2nd floor (the front desk is on the 8th), and on our check-out day, they completely refused our request for a late check-out until 1 PM.

The hotel is incredibly clean and the service is top notch. The direct view to the beach is absolutely unique and the pool area is super delicious. The breakfast was excellent with a large selection and it was a huge plus to have free parking right at the door. Highly recommended!

Spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel in the Dongmun area in Jeju. It is an established hotel at a convenient location. The airport limousine makes its stop there. You can have your dinner there at affordable rates. A special shout out to one of the staff (a middle aged bespectacled guy who spoke excellent English) helped to arrange for a cab from Hallasan trail back to the hotel as we missed the last bus back to the city. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness.

This was the most satisfying hotel of our trip! Staying in Seogwipo felt like being in California. Even though KAL is an older five-star hotel, its facilities, cleanliness, and location are truly outstanding! The swimming pool water quality is unparalleled; it uses mountain spring water, and we happened to see the staff meticulously cleaning it for several hours. From within the hotel, you can directly access some of the most classic spots on Olle Trail Route 6, and a popular cafe is also nearby. A five-minute taxi ride takes you to delicious raw fish and grilled pork. The hotel front desk staff were also very friendly. I personally recommend staying for at least two days to fully enjoy the slow-paced vacation vibe. The large lawn by the sea is perfect for taking photos in minutes.

This is self check in, please contact them on that day if you haven’t receive the room number and password. If you arrive at night, you might be feeling a bit scary but don’t worry, the main entrance is at the left side of the walkway. I feel like it is more to Airbnb style but without kitchen. The room is facing the sea, it is very nice in view in the daytime. There are seafood restaurants and CU just beside the resort. It is quite convenient here.

Location: Close to the sea with incredibly beautiful views, it's even a filming location for the Korean drama 'Princess Hours'. There aren't many rooms, and the whole place gives off a wonderfully quiet vibe, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Room Types: We experienced three room types: the Hanok (traditional Korean house), a suite, and a king room. Overall, the Hanok was the most unique, but the bed was a bit small. The suite's bed would be better suited for families with children. Service: Generally, there aren't many staff members, but they are all quite friendly. The initial amenities provided aren't very extensive, perhaps for environmental reasons. You'll need to bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste.

The breakfast menu was great. There are cracked floor tiles, wall tiles, damaged wall, fridge and freezer door unable to close properly. Toilet doors unable to close fully. But overall, still acceptable for stay.
