Youth Hotel (Beijing Temple of Heaven West Gate)

I went to Beijing and stayed at this hotel for two nights. The location is very convinient. It is very close to Beijing south railway stations and you can easily get to hotel from the train station by bus. It is also close to main attractions like the Forbidden city and Tian’anmen square and Qianmen street. The hotel rooms are also clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel’s location is pretty good. The room was small but cozy and clean. The staff doesn’t speak English (we had no problems with that as we speak Chinese), but very friendly. When we asked something, they always tried to help. One of the best things is you can check in after 8am, which was very good for us. I recommend this hotel for a short stay in Beijing, for a good price

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The receptionist is extremely enthusiastic and friendly. By the way, I would like to ask for the contact of the receptionist in the picture. He booked a taxi to the high-speed train station for us, but at the end of the trip, I couldn't pay the driver, because the driver said that when booking a taxi on the DiDi app, payment will be made through the booking account. I really want to return that money to him, hope to receive a response soon!

The hotel is located around 12-15 min walk to Temple of Heaven. Nearest metro is around 12-15 min walk too. Please improve on the cleanliness and air circulation of the hotel. Our room floor was so sticky and we needed to ask the cleaner to mop it and she immediately mopped it. Also, we needed to ask for body towels, floor mats and tissues from her. Looks like our room was not 100% ready when we checked in but they just gave us that room. No bottled water is given but they provide common dispenser in receptionist area. For 1-2 night stay, it is okay.

~15-20 min walk to temple of heaven park entrance and ~10 min walk to the subway. It felt safe and overall pretty clean. They had luggage storage. The beds were clean and the AC worked well. Great simple budget hotel.

The place is very central, it's 15 minutes walk from heaven temple and 1.5 hours walk through one of the main streets of Beijing to Forbidden city (or just 2 metro stops, which was very convinient). The nearest metro stations are 15 minutes walk away. The staff was very helpful and nice. They do not speak English at all, but we used translating apps, so have one on hand. The room was small, but not incomfortable. There was clean bathroom and a table. we got free upgrade as we arrived early and had an extra bed to store things on. Cleaning lady cleaned room and replaced towels every day. Overall, it was a gery good stay.

Only downside was there was too many cockroaches.
