My wife and I really like this hotel. It's best asset is it's location, just a few short steps away from the beautiful Houhai lake waterfront. Eventhough it's so close to the lively waterfront, it is still set back far enough to be completely quiet at night. We also liked the modern facilities combining contemporary design with traditional Chinese influences. The hotel itself is very new and all facilities are newly installed. The young staff are also very helpful and enthusiastic. Bonus is the pair of plump cats that grace the reception area, and carefully inspect each guest! However, my only concern with this hotel is the other cats who are kept in cages in a side building. I hope the management will allow them more space to roam. Other than this concern, we like this hotel a lot, and will return here whenever we are back in Beijing.

Hotel is located inside Hutong. Getting cab rides to the hotel can be challenging as most drivers are reluctant to drive in hotel driveway as it’s narrow and one way only. However, this inconvenience was compensated by the excellent service of check in staff who is always willing to help. Another plus factor is the two super cute resident kitty at the Reception. Breakfast is very good, lady service staff works very hard mending the counter and clear dishes while staying smiley all the time.

Very nice hotel, room a bit small but very nicely decorated, good breakfast selection, in a very quite spot but 5 minute walk from all restaurants and metro.

The stay was awesome. Cleanliness and service were very satisfying, room comes with smart control and a card to leave at room all day for electricity. Only drawback is the location, roads to the hotel were too narrow for car to drive in, would recommend for solo/ light travellers. Aside from that, overall experience was really good.

Nestled away from the city's hustle and bustle, this hotel was a delightful surprise, truly feeling like a hidden paradise. Initially, our children were worried the hotel wouldn't be good. However, upon seeing the spotless floors and the charming traditional architecture, coupled with the attentive service from the doorman and the front desk staff thoughtfully offering water, they instantly fell in love with the place. Furthermore, the room itself was impeccably clean and equipped with modern smart controls. We greatly appreciated the thoughtful complimentary fruit platter and the generous supply of bottled water, which was more than what we usually find in other hotels. We were truly delighted! Its location, just a five-minute walk from Shichahai, was perfect. They even offered a lovely farewell gift upon checkout! Everything about our stay was perfect, and we will definitely be returning.

The room was quite nice and spacious, the service was excellent, and the surroundings were beautiful – it's a picturesque spot, great for photos. It's also conveniently located near Shichahai and Prince Gong's Mansion. The only downside was the narrow alleys leading to the property. Additionally, after turning off the lights in the room, there was a distinct dripping sound. It wasn't actual water, but the light fixture itself was making the noise. This happened approximately every 30 seconds, which made it impossible to sleep at night.

A fantastic hotel! Nestled in a hutong, it's a true hidden gem. The atmosphere, facilities, hygiene, and service were all outstanding. It boasts individual courtyards and offers complimentary parking. We were caught in a downpour and didn't have an umbrella in the car, but a staff member was immediately at the entrance to assist us with one. From the array of snacks and sour plum juice at the front desk to every other minute detail, everything was impeccably handled. The hotel is also very close to Prince Gong's Mansion. The surrounding area is brimming with authentic Beijing snacks like Qingfeng Baozi, Zhajiangmian, Baodu, and Douzhi, which are definitely worth a taste.

Nestled in an old hutong, this is a truly unique spot – a peaceful oasis amidst the city's hustle and bustle. Shichahai and Houhai are just a short stroll away. Public transport is very convenient. If you take a taxi, the driver might grumble a bit, but once they've entered the hutong, there's no turning back (it's a one-way street), so I always made sure to lavishly praise their superb driving skills! The room is clean and modern, and the welcome fruit platter was quite generous.

Our first night in Beijing, we checked into Houhai Li Hotel. We booked three rooms – two with king beds and one with twin beds. This hotel has a unique charm, unlike any other I've stayed in. It's nestled in a *hutong* (traditional alleyway), conveniently close to attractions like Prince Gong's Mansion, Shichahai, Qianhai, and Houhai. What impressed me most about this hotel was its exceptionally strict yet orderly management. There's a security guard at the main entrance, and staff members are also on duty in the accommodation building. The friendly security guard at the entrance helped me with directions, and a kind staff member on duty assisted my mother when she found it difficult to walk. My sincere thanks to all the staff for their assistance. Oh, and by the way, the hotel's breakfast was delicious! We initially planned to stay just one night, but we liked the hotel so much that we extended our stay for another night.

The staff was extremely nice and even gave us a free room upgrade. The location is convenient when it comes to public transport, feels very authentic in the hutongs and very close to Qianhai lake, which is beautiful during the day and super lively in the evening. I would always recommend this hotel. Nothing to complain about at all.

Nice place near attraction with nice scenery.

It's a nice hotel. Clean, quiet, 10-15 minutes walk to the closest subway station. If you are looking for authentic traditional atmosphere it's rather a modern, good budget hotel

Upon arrival, I was greeted by a door that opened both physically and emotionally, signaling a level of service I can only describe as spiritually lubricated. The bed, oh, the bed, was a horizontal masterpiece of cushion engineering. As I laid my corporeal form upon its cloud-esque surface, I briefly forgot the burdens of mortal existence. The pillows appeared to be filled with a rare mixture of angel whispers and 80% air, providing optimal cranial buoyancy. The bathroom facilities functioned with the precision of a Swiss waterfall. The shower produced water at a temperature so perfectly tepid that I momentarily questioned if I had ascended into a higher plane of moisture. Breakfast was a culinary epiphany. The scrambled eggs were so fluffy I considered applying for joint custody. The orange juice contained at least three visible particles of authenticity, which I took as a sign of artisanal sincerity. The staff were paragons of professionalism. One gentleman handed me a key card with such gravitas that I felt knighted by the realm of hospitality itself. In conclusion, this hotel did not merely provide accommodation, it recalibrated my understanding of existence within four walls and a mini-fridge. I shall return, unless I die first, in which case I hope to haunt this establishment with gratitude.
