Great place to stay would have given it five stars but do not have continental breakfast yet. Clean rooms and reasonable prices. Plan on staying here again next time through great place to stay on your way to Panama City Beach Florida.

This centrally located hotel is the only major hotel in Bonifay, FL and only 44 miles from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport. We are located only 40 Miles South of Dothan, AL and 50 Miles North of Panama City, FL. Bonifay is the home of different ecological tourism spots and near many major attractions.This Holiday Inn Express and Suites has a modern feel, while still providing their guests with a top of the line customer service and value. We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites for a variety of reasons. First off the hotel itself was clean and the rooms well appointed. Secondly, the room rate was decent. Third, the breakfast in the morning was very good and it was a full accompaniment of food items. Fourth, the front desk staff on all shifts was incredibly helpful, polite and courteous.... I do believe they went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I had everything that we needed and were being taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.

It may be a 2.5 start hotel, but it's a budget place. The room was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. The shower head didn't work very well, the outside areas were not very clean, the lobby was closed by the time we arrived at 6:00 p.m., so we checked in at the night window. It makes me think the clientele or the neighborhood is dangerous. The breakfast was definitely continental - not much of substance. One man talked (loudly) on the phone outside our room for about two hours. A woman was at the front desk in the morning in her pajamas. Another guy was peering into the windows of rooms with the curtains open. Overall creepy feeling.

As always I received excellent service from the staff. The room, while economical, was clean, tidy and attractively decorated. A microwave, small TV, coffeemaker, and refrigerator were sanitary and in working order. The hot water is plentiful and the shower/ bathtub larger than what is usually found in a motel of this price bracket. Two Queen sized beds, neatly made with crisp white linens were comfortable and set with plenty of fresh pillows. The central location is optimal for dining and shopping and just a few minutes away from historic downtown Chipley, Florida, and from a nature park. Panama City is less than an hour away, and the beaches are about the same. The price of a room is very reasonable and one would expect to pay a hundred dollars or more per night for a comparable accommodation, but not here. I've had excellent experiences, here, at The Roof Inn, Chipley, Florida, and will recommend the establishment to friends and family for the foreseeable future.
