Daxin Hotels with Breakfast

Our family stayed at Lux Collective Chongzuo, booking two different room types. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the views were absolutely stunning. A special shout-out to our dedicated butler, Doris, who communicated with us in advance about our itinerary and catered to all our family's needs. The hotel offers various activities like cycling and bamboo rafting, all meticulously arranged. Any request for either of our two rooms was handled instantly – truly thoughtful and attentive service. The food was authentic, and the facilities were comprehensive, ensuring both adults and children had a fantastic time. The whole family unanimously agreed; we'll definitely choose this place again for our next visit!

Choosing Changliu Shanju for our trip to Mingshi Garden was absolutely the right decision! The hotel is surrounded by karst peaks and vast rice paddies, making it feel like living in a real-life wuxia fantasy landscape – the atmosphere is just incredible. The check-in process was seamless with attentive and friendly butler service. Our room was spacious and clean, and the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were simply stunning. Opening the windows revealed lush green mountains and rice fields. Waking up to birdsong in the morning, with misty mountains in the distance, and being able to admire such picturesque scenery from bed was amazing. The bedding was soft, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a wonderfully quiet night's sleep. The rooftop infinity pool offers an absolutely breathtaking view. Watching the sunset against the rolling peaks from there was perfect for photos. The hotel's side gate provides direct access to a cycling path, so we could easily go for a bike ride or a walk. It's also very close to the Yulin Dam, just a two to three-minute walk, which was super convenient for heading back to the room for a shower after exploring. The hotel also offers complimentary short-distance shuttle services. We used the hotel's business car for transferring to another hotel and for dinner, and the service was incredibly thoughtful. Our child also enjoyed the complimentary sachet-making activity, creating a lovely memory of our trip.

Extremely satisfied with this guesthouse! I initially chose this location because the electric scooter parking at Yu Lin Ba (Fish Scale Dam) costs money, so I figured I'd stay here, see the dam, and then rent a scooter. That turned out to be a great decision – the location is incredibly advantageous, and currently, this guesthouse offers the best value and is the prettiest in the area. The hotel rooms come with washing machines, there's a 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop, and a kids' pool downstairs. What really stands out is how attentive they are to every detail. Every corner is spotless. When I went to the Sky Mirror at noon, an auntie even specially cleaned the glass. The swimming rings by the pool were all nice and new, not tattered at all. The room also had a Tmall Genie, and the cleaning was impeccable. I arrived early, and they opened one room for me, and I practically watched them prepare the adjacent one. When we checked in, the staff immediately took photos of our license plate to link it to the parking system. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and we even received brown sugar as a parting gift when we checked out. A truly delightful stay!

The best thing about this place are the owners. Full of initiative and kindness, I am very appreciative of their initiative services. For example, they asked if I already had transportation for my next destination, then how much I was quoted. Then they said that was a fair price if it was right to the hotel, to just check and verify if it is so. This is a very helpful guidance for out-of-towners. The room is clean, and after 4 days of travel in the area, it is the only one that doesn't have any lingering smells of cigarette smoke. It is hard to find rooms like these, including rooms that claim to be smoke-free. The view from the room is great and it is nice to watch the birds fly over the border river. Birds are not constrained by fences. Bottles of water are provided, as are disposable towels, which I'm not a fan of, as well as soap, shampoo and so on. There is no separation of wet/dry areas, but slippers are provided. You may not get the best photos in such a homestay, but it is functional and practical, and everything works well, drainage and so on, which is more important. I would stay here again and I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

1. Amazing hospitality. The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei. 2. Flawless cleanness Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever. 3. Decent breakfast Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk. 4. Great location The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well. Thank you so much for all the help and care. I really wish to meet you again.

Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse may sound unassuming, but stepping into the rooms is a pleasant surprise. First, the cleanliness is impeccable; the beds and rooms are spotless, comparable to a five-star hotel. Second, the service is excellent. The owner is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. When we couldn't find Yushui Dam while driving there, he kindly suggested we call him – a truly kind gesture. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the scenic area entrance, easy to find, and very quiet at night. It even has an elevator, which is rare for a guesthouse. The rooms are particularly noteworthy – each one is large and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the scenic area. I couldn't resist taking several photos. The curtains are automatic, the toilet is a smart toilet, and the bedding is excellent. There's also a table, two chairs, and high-quality toiletries, a hairdryer, and slippers. Having traveled extensively and stayed in various hotels of all levels and star ratings, I feel that Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse offers a five-star experience at an economy price. All 14 of us in our group were extremely satisfied.

Location of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

First off, the hotel's location is great. It's really close to Yulinba (Fish Scale Dam) and located within a resort area that has more than just this hotel, including pricier options like Mingshi Yayuan. The only difference is that those hotels have river-facing rooms, while this one is set back a bit. However, the restaurant part *is* right by the river, so in terms of location, it's pretty much on par with the more expensive places. As a guest, you also get free bike rentals and access to the museum, which has a few popular photo spots. The downsides are that the room facilities are a bit old. As soon as you walk in, there's a damp, woody smell from the furniture, and there are no charging outlets by the bed. Also, the bicycles are quite old.

Located right inside the Old Kapok scenic area, by the Vietnamese border river, it's super close to Detian Waterfall, which helps you avoid rush hour traffic. Breakfast was at the Old Kapok Hotel, and the 'Lao You Fen' (local rice noodles) was delicious. This was my first time staying in a tent, and it was a great experience – I woke up to the sound of birdsong.

The room facilities, though a bit dated, were very well-maintained and clean, showing the hotel's dedication. The hotel is located near the Guichun River within the scenic area, offering views of the Vietnamese people across the river, though the barbed wire fence is a bit of a letdown. However, the hotel's garden restaurant is an absolute disaster—the food is unappetizing and truly awful. I'd recommend eating before you check in or returning to the hotel to rest after you've had a meal elsewhere.
