YYizhiteliduxingdejiangDuring this stay, I experienced two different room types. First, I stayed in the LUX* Select Suite, which offered beautiful and expansive views. Later, I switched to a One-Bedroom Deluxe room, which was significantly larger than the Select Suite. I'm very grateful to Doris for arranging both rooms for us; we were very satisfied. Both rooms came with extra-large panoramic floor-toceiling windows and a private plunge pool, which was delightful. The resort's design beautifully integrates with the local culture. The distant mountains and blue sky are reflected in the water, making the architecture seem to emerge from it, creating a serene and breathable atmosphere.

GGuest UserThe hotel is beautiful and clean, and the room was very comfortable. The smart toilet wasn't super clean, but they provided disinfectant wipes and disposable toilet seat covers. The toiletries had a lovely grapefruit scent, and my hands smelled great after washing. The bedding was quite comfortable, with two types of pillows, both at a perfect height for me. The hotel restaurant food was excellent; breakfast was quite rich. We ordered three dishes for dinner: pepper pork stomach soup, fried river fish and shrimp, and fish head hotpot, all of which were surprisingly delicious. The restaurant service was friendly and enthusiastic, though not very professional. The complimentary sweet soup in the evening was very tasty. The afternoon tea desserts looked beautiful, but I'm not a big fan of sweets, so I didn't find them particularly delicious. My husband, however, really liked one steamed dish, which seemed to be steamed milk or something similar. The laundry room was very clean; it's best to use it during off-peak hours. The pool also looked clean, but it was too hot outside, so I didn't have the energy to go for a swim. The only thing that bothered me was that even though we stayed for two nights, we only got one sachet. I had hoped my husband and I could each have one. At check-out, they gave us a box of local brown sugar as a gift. The hotel is right in front of the Fish Scale Dam, and it's very pleasant to walk around the area. It would have been perfect if the weather had been cooler.

GGuest UserShanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse may sound unassuming, but stepping into the rooms is a pleasant surprise. First, the cleanliness is impeccable; the beds and rooms are spotless, comparable to a five-star hotel. Second, the service is excellent. The owner is very welcoming and responsive to any questions. When we couldn't find Yushui Dam while driving there, he kindly suggested we call him – a truly kind gesture. The guesthouse is conveniently located near the scenic area entrance, easy to find, and very quiet at night. It even has an elevator, which is rare for a guesthouse. The rooms are particularly noteworthy – each one is large and spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering stunning views of the scenic area. I couldn't resist taking several photos. The curtains are automatic, the toilet is a smart toilet, and the bedding is excellent. There's also a table, two chairs, and high-quality toiletries, a hairdryer, and slippers. Having traveled extensively and stayed in various hotels of all levels and star ratings, I feel that Shanyao Xiaozhu Guesthouse offers a five-star experience at an economy price. All 14 of us in our group were extremely satisfied.

PPuddytat1. Amazing hospitality. The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei. 2. Flawless cleanness Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever. 3. Decent breakfast Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk. 4. Great location The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well. Thank you so much for all the help and care. I really wish to meet you again.

GGuest User1. The service was absolutely fantastic, from the front desk staff to the cleaning aunties. Their warmth felt genuinely sincere, not just a professional facade. 2. The environment is great, with a very large backyard that includes playground facilities, a swimming pool, a cinema, and relaxation areas. My child particularly loved the table football and played for a long time, having a blast. 3. The scenery is beautiful; just by opening the curtains, you're greeted with karst topography. Sitting on the windowsill, enjoying the view, and having a short rest, I could easily spend an entire afternoon there.

All the staff, from the shuttle driver and front desk to the restaurant, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They even included complimentary tickets and a bamboo raft experience. It's a quiet and convenient place, definitely worth considering, and offers great value for money!

GGuest UserIt is in the same park as the Old Kapok Hotel. It is very easy to get there after turning right out of the Detian Waterfall parking lot. I checked in during the Chinese New Year. The hotel was so popular that I set a reminder to book it. I was originally going to book a room at the Old Kapok Hotel, but I found that booking an RV was the right choice after staying there. The RVs are very new, with a large bed and a bunk bed that can accommodate four people, and the bunk beds can accommodate adults. There is a barbecue shop at the entrance of the RV camp. Barbecue at the entrance of the RV at night is unique. The main disadvantages come from the Old Kapok Hotel. The hotel is relatively old, and the breakfast is extremely mismatched with the hotel level. I can only say that if you don't mind the taste, you can eat enough.

EEatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

GGuest UserThe hotel is a little far from Chongzuo but you can hire a Didi for about 380RMB from the chongzuo train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a walk and see the 100 doors (I think it was called) and walk all the way to the border post 3. It's was surreal. Across the river you can see Vietnamese house and people. we waved. a drone showed up we left. To go to the waterfall we walked from the hotel to the tourist center. About a 45 minute walk. Not bad once you get there. The hotel is old and starting to show the tear. You can tell it was once great but no renovations have been made in forever. The carpet had stains on it. not tiny ones. The little mini balcony was dusty. The bed was big but on the hard side. The towels are frazzling it was unbelievable. The breakfast , if you are not full on on Chinese breakfast its a no no. AND no coffee EVEN though the COFFEE MACHINE looked like it had just been plugged off. sign sating being fixed. come on .It's a 4 diamond rating but it felt more like 2. It's also smaller than it links in the video and pics. There's an awesome restaurant at the entrance on the right. It made a whole lotta difference. Highly reccomend eating here. And we did!Twice. Food was not bad. definitely order the ribs. The staff is nice especially the restaurant lady. Would I stay again? NO
