The welcome ceremony upon arrival was a pleasant surprise. Mia, our butler, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. The location is excellent, very close to the Yulin Dam, and the facilities and design are beyond words. We even received a gift, everything was perfect. So, anything else I say is really just nitpicking, haha. The TV volume in my room was a bit low; I had to turn it up to maximum to get a regular volume for movies, though that might just be me not adjusting it correctly. Also, I couldn't find the toothpaste in the morning. Regarding the private pool in the room, the stainless steel ladder could use better anti-slip treatment; I slipped twice. And it seemed like one or two tiles on the pool floor near the river were a bit loose and slightly raised, which could be fixed later. The main pool also closed quite early at 9 PM; I'm not sure if that was due to the weather. The restaurant also seemed to close a bit early, before 10 PM, so if you like a late-night snack, you'd have to go out. Overall, it's definitely a world-class hotel, no doubt about it.

Extremely satisfied with this guesthouse! I initially chose this location because the electric scooter parking at Yu Lin Ba (Fish Scale Dam) costs money, so I figured I'd stay here, see the dam, and then rent a scooter. That turned out to be a great decision – the location is incredibly advantageous, and currently, this guesthouse offers the best value and is the prettiest in the area.
The hotel rooms come with washing machines, there's a 'Sky Mirror' on the rooftop, and a kids' pool downstairs. What really stands out is how attentive they are to every detail. Every corner is spotless. When I went to the Sky Mirror at noon, an auntie even specially cleaned the glass. The swimming rings by the pool were all nice and new, not tattered at all. The room also had a Tmall Genie, and the cleaning was impeccable. I arrived early, and they opened one room for me, and I practically watched them prepare the adjacent one. When we checked in, the staff immediately took photos of our license plate to link it to the parking system. The service was incredibly thoughtful, and we even received brown sugar as a parting gift when we checked out. A truly delightful stay!

The room was new and clean, and the owners were very welcoming. The hotel is one of the few in Shuolong Town with an elevator, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offer a view of Vietnam; you can see the scenery across the river just by sitting by the window. Also, the hotel's private kitchen dishes were excellent. The food was delicious, with Vietnamese flavors, and we rated it a 7 out of 10 for the best meal of our trip. We will definitely stay here again next time we have the chance.

1. Amazing hospitality.
The hotel owner, Shaowei was there to help us in every possible way. She brought us to see the panoramic view of Mingshi Tianyuan with her own expenses. She also took us to another place to watch native people’s dance, sing and bonfire after dinner. She also helped me to catch a local bus to another town. Her kindness was simply beyond my expectations. If I come back to Mingshi, the reason will be not the town itself, but Shaowei.
2. Flawless cleanness
Everything looked to be built just now. Clean, comfortable and tidy. No smell of cigarette or whatsoever.
3. Decent breakfast
Breakfast is simple but the taste is good. You can enjoy rice noodle, rice porridge and fruits with good tea and soy milk.
4. Great location
The hotel is located close to the bus station and you can get on any local bus passing by easily. Good restaurants are everywhere nearby as well.
Thank you so much for all the help and care. I really wish to meet you again.

Hey Shanghainese folks, listen up! It's only a few hundred meters from the actual main entrance, but for lazy people, it might be a bit of a trek. You can drive there, and parking is 30 RMB. The guesthouse itself is really great – clean and relatively quiet! It's the tallest and largest guesthouse around, standing out from the ones on either side, so the views are unobstructed. During the National Day holiday, things were busy, but the landlady kept her cool and was super responsive to everything, which I really appreciated. Honestly, after looking around this trip, the service here was better than other so-called high-end guesthouses. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. There's parking right outside. I didn't have the landlady buy the 80 RMB tickets for me because she couldn't get them until 8:30 AM, and the scenic area opens at 7:30 AM. I bought my 110 RMB ticket online directly and was the first one through the gates on National Day. By 9 AM, when I was done and leaving, the peak crowds were just arriving. Then I went back to the guesthouse, took a shower, had some noodles, and relaxed watching a Vietnamese drama – pretty sweet!

EatPrayTravelLocation of hotel is very convenient for travelers who take the tourist bus from either Chungzuo, Nanning or from Detian waterfalls scenic area. The room we booked had a nice view of the fields and karst mountains. What a beautiful sight to behold indeed. During the day, it can get noisy with all the comings and goings in the village and all around but at night, it was very quiet. The rooftop terrace was very nice and not busy when we were there. Breakfast was enjoyable with steamed buns, corn, soup noodles and boiled sweet potatoes- a healthy start for a very busy day. The very nice lady in charge of breakfast offered us breakfast on our check in day (we arrived at 10:30) and made sure we had enough to eat before sending us off to explore! We had never met a B&B operator who was so caring and generous. On our check out day, even though she was still busy with guests, she rushed out to bid us a fond farewell and a safe onward trip. Front desk and cleaning team were all very friendly, always smiling and helpful. All in all, a very warm and pleasant stay at Mingshi Scenic Area.

Guest UserThree girlfriends and I booked two nights here, and choosing this hotel was the best decision of our trip! We had an incredible experience with the bonfire party showcasing local ethnic culture and enjoyed free bike rides along the greenways, taking in the beautiful scenery of Mingshi Pastoral. Plus, they gave us an extra breakfast voucher each day, and the breakfast spread was fantastic. I'll definitely recommend this place to my friends next time they visit!

Generally not evaluated, but I feel very good. In the newly opened homestay, we booked two rooms for two nights. The scenery outside the window was very good. The twin rooms on the second floor and the third floor were all floor-to-ceiling windows. The big bed room on the fourth floor had a balcony and I liked it very much. The price was right. The owner of the hotel is very good, and the situation is solved in time. They also opened a drink stall downstairs and sent us juice. I have introduced my friends, the door is the fish scale dam, and the night market stall is downstairs. convenient.

It should be a better hotel in the town. The boss also helped me buy tickets at the distribution center the next day. I stayed there for two days. The area around the hotel is quite lively and there are many places to eat.

The hotel is a little far from Chongzuo but you can hire a Didi for about 380RMB from the chongzuo train station. The hotel is located in a beautiful park where you can take a walk and see the 100 doors (I think it was called) and walk all the way to the border post 3. It's was surreal. Across the river you can see Vietnamese house and people. we waved. a drone showed up we left. To go to the waterfall we walked from the hotel to the tourist center. About a 45 minute walk. Not bad once you get there.
The hotel is old and starting to show the tear. You can tell it was once great but no renovations have been made in forever. The carpet had stains on it. not tiny ones. The little mini balcony was dusty. The bed was big but on the hard side. The towels are frazzling it was unbelievable. The breakfast , if you are not full on on Chinese breakfast its a no no. AND no coffee EVEN though the COFFEE MACHINE looked like it had just been plugged off. sign sating being fixed. come on .It's a 4 diamond rating but it felt more like 2. It's also smaller than it links in the video and pics. There's an awesome restaurant at the entrance on the right. It made a whole lotta difference. Highly reccomend eating here. And we did!Twice. Food was not bad. definitely order the ribs. The staff is nice especially the restaurant lady.
Would I stay again? NO
