Yilanxuan Volcano Grassland Homestay (Ulan Hada Branch)

Facilities: The whole house is smart home, which is very convenient, and the smart toilet is also very comfortable. Service: The breakfast was absolutely delicious! The meat buns, millet porridge, and yogurt pancakes were all incredibly tasty. You can also order à la carte for lunch and dinner; I tried the blood sausage, milk tea, and cold oat noodles, and they were all excellent. In short, if you're visiting a volcano, I highly recommend considering this guesthouse! 🫡

Since I was traveling with elderly family members and was concerned about them getting cold at night, I decided against booking a ground-level yurt and instead chose this 'Starry Sky Pasture' accommodation. I was pleasantly surprised upon arrival. First, parking was incredibly convenient, which is crucial for a group of five traveling in a 7-seater minivan. Then, we were greeted by charming Mongolian-style buildings, topped with yurts perfect for stargazing. The rooms were fantastic, and the owner was incredibly kind – he even upgraded our room because we were with seniors. The room was spotless, the bedding was clean and comfortable, and disposable toiletries were provided. The 'starry sky yurt' had air conditioning, so it wasn't cold at all. We could even watch the sunrise and sunset from the third floor, which I thought was great value! The restaurant food was absolutely delicious. We ordered roasted lamb ribs, mushroom with sliced meat, cold beef slices... and even some kumis. Wow, both the taste and price exceeded my expectations – so tasty! Especially the beef and lamb ribs, they were incredibly fragrant and highly recommended! The owner even gave us a small gift when we left, which was a very thoughtful touch. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends because I feel I made the perfect choice! It's very unique, clean, and tidy, in a great location with easy parking, and delicious food! The main thing is, the owner is wonderful!

First off, the location is truly excellent, a unique advantage. There's a hot spring hotel right next door where you can enjoy a soak. However, the overall management and service facilities are severely lacking! Let's start with the hygiene: urine stains on the toilet seat, hair everywhere you look, and debris falling from the ceiling when you turn on the 'starry sky' light – I honestly don't know what to say. Then there's the service; it feels like there's barely any service at all. For example, regarding the hot spring tickets included in the package, shouldn't you remind guests beforehand to bring their own swimsuits? (Mine cost over 300 yuan!) And for the volcano tickets, shouldn't you confirm guest information and redeem them in advance? (When I was ready to leave and went to the front desk for the tickets, they told me to buy them on the spot, then I had to provide my ID again and go to another ticket office to exchange them. This whole process took a good half hour!) I can accept your high prices, but at the very least, your service and hygiene should match. I hope you see this review and make improvements. Don't disappoint customers who've traveled so far to get here!

When bringing kids to Inner Mongolia, how can you not experience a yurt? I carefully selected this one on Trip.com after a long search. It's clean and the staff are very polite and friendly. In the evening, there's a lively bonfire party. The curtains in the stargazing dome don't block out light very well, so the entire room gets quite bright once the sun comes up – that could definitely be improved. The owner also has bunnies and lambs, and provides vegetable leaves for children to feed the animals, which was a fantastic experience. The scenery of Huiteng Grassland is truly beautiful; stunning views can heal everything. Finally, a note for those with high sleep quality requirements: I feel one night here is probably enough.

This Atour location is a safe bet – no disappointments here! The bed was huge and the pillows were super comfy. There are restaurants on both sides of the hotel, so if you're not keen on the hotel breakfast, you can grab some authentic Mongolian food right downstairs, which is really convenient. They even have frozen lamb hotpot, so it's a good option if you don't want to venture far.

The room was clean, and the front desk staff were polite. The overall facilities were decent, quite up to a local five-star standard. Since we visited during the Spring Festival, breakfast was delivered to our room as a set menu, and it was quite nutritious. However! It was incredibly hot in winter. The heating was set to an extremely high temperature, making it unbearable. Even the short-sleeved pajamas I specifically brought weren't enough. The central air conditioning also blew warm air. Due to the high ceilings and lack of screens, we couldn't open the windows very wide. I couldn't sleep all night. I tried to turn off the heating, but couldn't (as someone from the north, I believe every room should have its own heating control valve, but not here). In the end, with no other options, we had to leave the room door open, with one person staying awake while the other slept, then swapping... We basically got about two hours of sleep that night. Another room in our group had the exact same issue. I sincerely suggest the hotel adjusts its heating system. Even with central heating, as a hotel, you should at least allow each room to regulate its own temperature. Otherwise, it seriously impacts the guest experience and is incredibly frustrating!!!

The yurt-type B&B we stayed in did not have air conditioning, so we relied on the hot kang for heating at night. In a place like Ulanqab, it was too cold at night to take a shower. When we woke up in the morning, there was suddenly no water. It was said that the water supply system was broken. It was repaired, but we had other itineraries and couldn't wait for repairs. In the end, we had to spend money to buy mineral water to wash up. It was a very embarrassing accommodation experience.

A few days before arriving at the hotel, I asked the front desk if I could collect the package. As a result, the front desk not only collected the package, but also the package that was placed by the courier brother at the station. After contacting the front desk, I also helped to pick up the package. Staying in so many hotels, this hotel is too comfortable to collect the package! The atmosphere of the hotel is very good and fragrant. Room hygiene is also good. Highly recommended 👍🏻 This place, the right central flag of Ulanqab, can hardly reach Didi, need a taxi service, can let the restaurant owner help

A wonderful and memorable experience in the grassland especially when the hosts are ever so friendly, helpful, and so hospitable. With their warm welcome and kind hospitality we felt like home. They upgraded our room for free so that we could experience staying inside a yurt. We are extremely touched by their generosity, too. We had a bonfire night too and enjoyed the fireworks on the Saturday night. The restaurant in this resort serves well-cooked, sumptuous meals at a reasonable price, considering that they are some 42km away from the nearest town, ZhuoZi Shan. Highly recommended to stay here as the environment is comfortable and peaceful. Although the water is not good for drinking, there are bottled drinks / water available at the grocery shops. Hair dryer, shampoo, soap are all provided too.

Very good! Although this solo trip to Ulanqab was not carefully planned, the food, accommodation, scenery, etc. were just right. Staying at Yaju B&B was beyond my expectations! The room faces the yard with a glass wall. The room is very cozy. The log furniture and warm lighting make people feel relaxed as soon as they enter the door. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and there is plenty of hot water, so you can fall asleep peacefully in peace. The front desk also thoughtfully prepared a local specialty breakfast, and the handmade rice cakes and freshly ground soy milk are amazing! It is a 5-minute walk to the volcanic scenic area, which is highly recommended to friends who want to experience a slow life.
