Zhenyuan County Hotels with Breakfast

The room is quite large, right by the Wuyang River. It's very pleasant to watch the night view of Zhenyuan Ancient Town from the balcony. I saw the unique ”evil ways” of Zhenyuan. The proprietress is very kind and recommended restaurants for locals at affordable prices. She also gave us some fruit when we checked in and was able to help us with any needs. The proprietress also paid for parking after we checked in. Although the fee was not much, it was very heartwarming. I recommend staying here.

Traveling by car, the front desk staff helped me park it for free. I didn't even have to touch my luggage; the front desk brought it all to my room. The room was super clean, with all smart facilities, and a really comfortable balcony overlooking the river. In the evening, I enjoyed the river breeze, had a cigarette, and savored the unique charm of the ancient town. The room also had a hot spring bath, so I bought a bath bomb and had a really relaxing soak. The bed was incredibly comfortable, especially the pillows! It's clear the owner is very thoughtful and genuinely cares about their guests. In the morning, the owner invited us to tea and explained the history and attractions of the ancient town. The owner is clearly very passionate about their hometown and a perfectionist. It felt like I was treated like an old friend here. Highly recommend!

The guesthouse was conveniently located on the main street of the ancient town. The rooms were spacious, and the service was exceptionally warm, attentive, and polite. When we arrived, the staff were waiting for us at the parking lot entrance. Even when it rained that evening, they proactively contacted us and braved the rain to bring us umbrellas to our dining location. When we left, they even followed us to the parking lot to settle the parking fee.

Staying at the Shangshufang Inn was one of the best travel experiences I've had in recent years. The two-story wooden house, weathered and dark, exudes a profound sense of history in every corner. Touching the ancient, rustic wooden structure, I felt as if I had traveled back 200 years, finding peace and quiet in this secluded study, far removed from the world. Pushing open the door, I saw traditional Chinese furniture and calligraphy, their antique charm enhanced by the lighting, creating a comfortable and cozy atmosphere. The inn's location is superb, nestled against Shiping Mountain, halfway up the hillside. Every morning, opening the window offers a panoramic view of the nearby ancient town and the distant green hills and clear waters. The innkeeper, a gentle and lovely young woman, warmly welcomed me and even made me tea—I was delighted! I'll definitely come back next time.

Our entire stay was a five-star experience! The guesthouse's decor created a wonderful atmosphere, exuding elegance and charm at every turn. The rooms were spacious, and the hot water supply in the bathroom was consistent, making daily routines very convenient. Having an elevator meant no effort was needed to get around, and the free parking was a huge relief. You can go fishing for fun or relax and catch up on shows in the audio-visual room. The staff were friendly and even patiently shared local travel tips. The value for money far exceeded our expectations, and we'll definitely choose this place again next time.

This guesthouse is fantastic! The floor-to-ceiling windows offer amazing views, making it so relaxing and comfortable. The bedding is also very comfortable and super clean. The toiletries are good too; I even used the body lotion as hand cream, which was a nice touch. The 6th-floor observation deck provides panoramic views – absolutely stunning! 👏🏻😁 There's an elevator, which is a huge plus for those traveling with a lot of luggage. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but it's very refined and offers a perfect start to the day. Highly recommend – excellent value for money!(*´・ｖ・)

The owner was incredibly warm and insisted on treating us to dinner and drinks on New Year's Eve! The room was clean and tidy, and the air conditioning worked perfectly! The cats and dogs downstairs were super friendly and clingy; as soon as we sat down, we were surrounded by them! Breakfast was absolutely delicious! We'll definitely be back next summer!

Staying in Zhenyuan is a gem! Shanhe Xia Meng was a real steal! Hey everyone! Don't go blindly searching for a B&B in Zhenyuan. My stay at Shanhe Xia Meng was like staying at a friend's house! First, let's talk about the owner. He's so helpful! We arrived at the entrance of the ancient town and couldn't tell east from west. We texted our location, and the owner came to pick us up and even helped with our luggage—this helpfulness instantly made us like him! Looking at the room, there were no fancy frills! The bedding was so soft, just like my own quilt at home. Even someone who loves their bed, I actually fell asleep right away. The bathroom was spotlessly clean with separate wet and dry areas. The toiletries weren't those cheap, scratchy ones. Even the disposable toothbrushes were thicker than others. The best part was the small tea table by the window. Wake up in the morning, make a cup of tea, and watch the Wuyang River flow by. This is what an ancient town should feel like! The breakfast is even better! These aren't those pre-prepared cold buns, but rice noodles freshly cooked by the auntie at the outsourced breakfast shop. You can choose between sour or clear soup, and you can add her homemade pickled sour beans and diced radish. Every bite is incredibly appetizing, even better than other breakfast places, and more substantial. A full stomach gives you energy for a day of exploring! Before leaving, I chatted with the owner, who even pointed out which sour soup fish restaurants are reliable, which silver jewelry is genuine, and even taught us how to avoid the crowds of tour groups trying to take photos. This genuine attitude of not treating tourists like outsiders is truly heartwarming! Next time I'm in Zhenyuan, I'll definitely stay here again! If you're looking for a comfortable, hassle-free place with no disappointments, Shanhe Xiameng is the place to go!

We have a wonderful stay after a long ride from Guiyang. Received by a sweet and helpful young girl who help us with our itinerary before we start going around the old town. Her reply to our WeChat queries is always immediate whenever we have issue. We are so thankful to the young boss who upgrade our stay and he shared with us about ZhenYuan. He also help us to book our ride to Kaili. Will visit ZhenYuan again for the next Dragon Boat Festival.
