"This area feels like Ginza in Japan, but it's incredibly affordable. It's easy to access key city attractions, and right in front of the hotel, there are plenty of souvenir options. The room is simple and doesn't offer much in terms of amenities. The lack of glasses and a hairdryer might be an issue for some."

Title: Unparalleled Luxury and Impeccable Service at St. Regis Cairo Rating: ★★★★★ (5/5) Review: I recently had the pleasure of staying at the St. Regis Cairo during my visit to this magnificent city, and I must say that it was an experience beyond compare. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the grandeur and elegance of the hotel, and every aspect of my stay exceeded my expectations. The St. Regis Cairo is a true testament to luxury and sophistication. The moment I stepped into the opulent lobby, I was greeted by a stunning display of modern design blended seamlessly with elements of Egyptian heritage. The attention to detail was impeccable, with intricate artwork, exquisite furnishings, and a magnificent chandelier that took my breath away. My room at the St. Regis Cairo was a sanctuary of comfort and elegance. The spacious layout, plush bedding, and tasteful decor created a tranquil ambiance that made me feel instantly relaxed. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of the Nile River, and I found myself spending hours simply gazing at the mesmerizing scene before me. The service at the St. Regis Cairo was truly exceptional. The staff members were attentive, professional, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my stay was taken care of. From the warm welcome at check-in to the prompt room service and personalized recommendations for local attractions, their dedication to providing a flawless experience was evident throughout. One of the highlights of my stay was dining at the hotel's exquisite restaurants. The culinary offerings were nothing short of extraordinary, with a diverse range of cuisines prepared by world-class chefs. Whether indulging in a sumptuous breakfast buffet, savoring a gourmet dinner, or enjoying a cocktail at the rooftop bar with panoramic views of the city, each dining experience was a culinary delight. The St. Regis Cairo also boasts an array of impressive amenities. The spa and wellness facilities offered a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation, with a variety of treatments and therapies to choose from. This Marriott hotel is located in Cairo Airport's Terminal 3, which is incredibly convenient. It's only a five-minute walk from the hotel to the airport via a dedicated elevator and skywalk. We arrived much earlier than our check-in time, but they were able to accommodate us without any extra charge. The staff in the lobby were all very friendly and helpful, and they even had Chinese-speaking staff available!

Honestly, the stay was disappointing. The floors were not well maintained, and I found the bathroom to be in a very unpleasant condition. The shower tap was leaking, which made things worse. The breakfast was also poor. The juices were not fresh, and everything that was offered tasted bland. On top of that, the experience at the pool bar was frustrating. Every time we ordered something, the waiter kept coming back repeatedly to ask if we wanted to order again or to make us pay. During the two days we spent by the pool trying to relax and take a nap, we were constantly disturbed and woken up to be asked if we wanted anything. The iron should also be replaced as it is in poor condition. It ruined a pair of beige trousers and a white shirt while I was ironing. We only stayed for two nights and did not want to be difficult guests, but in hindsight we should have raised these issues, especially considering this is a 5-star hotel and we paid for that level of service. Overall, this was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience.

The room had an access to the pool directly which is nice. Only bad thing was people smoke all over the hotel making it so unpleasant. Everywhere in the world, people are not allowed to smoke inside hotels. So clearly not for people who have wheezing or asthma. Management should seriously look into this. Other than that all staff were very nice. Ashraqqat and also bfast staff are all very nice. Excellent bfast.

I booked this international brand hotel for a business trip to Egypt. I saw a lot of online reviews about potential pitfalls in Egypt, so I wanted some peace of mind. The location is decent, and the breakfast is pretty good. The price feels a bit high, but it's acceptable.

The place is very comfortable; almost everything you need is close by. The hotel itself has cafes, restaurants, and more, making it excellent for families. The staff are wonderful, especially Ms. Madonna, who was very cheerful and served us with great hospitality. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Cairo, God willing.

City Hostel

In general, it is not bad for me to stay in a single room with a common bathroom for 10 nights. Above all, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff's efforts to manage the City Hostel clean which is too old and out fashioned building. * Location & Transportation Without noise, it is the best location to stay. It is located at 2 2-minute walk distance from Attaba subway station that connects to the Ramsis Railway Station and the Egypt Museum, only 1~3 stops away, charging 6 EGP per way. Of course, you can go to both by walk in 20 minutes. It means you can also enjoy the Nile riverside which is close to the museum. And it is a 2-minute walk distance from the Attaba market which is the biggest public market in Cairo and so many locals visit to buy their livelihoods stuff at a cheap price. In addition, you can also walk to the Al Azhar Mosque and Khan El-Khalili traditional market in 30 minutes, and St. Marc Coptic Orthodox Cathedral in AL Azbakeya in 10 minutes Two problems I experienced are firstly the noi⁹sy from 8 am to 3 am outside the building due to market area and cars' horns. It took 3 days for me to adapt it. Any room in the hostel cannot escape it without changing the windows to soundproof ones. If you are sensitive to sound, it is better to find other lodges in a residential area or modernized ones. Secondly, its location on the Uber taxi map and other maps is not accurate, so drivers have some problems in finding the city hostel. I have to meet them in front of the KFC next to the Attaba subway station. The signboard of the hotel is too small to recognize it. * Building and room conditions Like many other buildings in Cairo, the hostel building is old and shabby. The interior design and facilities are also outdated. However, the staff manages it so clean, particularly a common toilet and shower room. It is quite convenient a washstand in each room. However, it is bad there is no electronic kettle to boil water in a room or a common space. I could not enjoy my tea or coffee time at any time. I have to ask for hot drink water every morning when receiving breakfast, and store it in my tumbler. It will be better to provide a tea or coffee service area in the hostel. * Cleanness & Safety Cleanness and safety are very good. I have no issue with this. * Services There is no basic service that most guesthouses provide in general: toilet paper and drink water. Wifi is too weak to use the internet. Other services like laundry are satisfied. * Others During my stay, I couldn't enjoy having an exchange time with other travelers. I think it is because there is no reason to stay in a common space where only sofas and a table are. Largely guesthouse provides a commonplace where guests enjoy better the internet or drinks including tea or coffee and foods, which makes guests meet each other naturally and structurally. In conclusion, if the hostel provides basic services like toilet paper and commonplace with drink water and electronic kettles, it will be much better. And it is necessary to change its signboard so that is more recognizable. Except issues I mentioned above, it is a very good budget lodge.

The hotel is very conveniently located near airport, making it a best choice for travelers who are on short visit to or transit via Cairo. The facilities are outstanding with a well maintained swimming pool, nice restaurants, souvenir shops and with nice & attentive staffs. The check in was made a little earlier and smoother via online check-in. The room is clean, well maintained and spacious for the price range. The hotel offers free shuttle service to all the departure terminals (once in 30 minutes for 24 hours) and the complimentary buffer breakfast was awesome with a wide spread of menu items.
