I arrived late at night and only stayed about 10 hours, as I had another hotel booked for the next day to meet up with friends. So, I can't really comment on the bathroom and such since I didn't use them. The hostel floor itself is nicely renovated and clean, but the building is old, and the room had a slightly stuffy smell. However, the guy at the front desk was kind, and the breakfast was really delicious, so the value for money was definitely good.

I stayed in Egypt for a week by myself, so I didn't book a five-star hotel. From a 100-pound Airbnb to a 700-pound hotel, only this one and the 700-pound hotel had working air conditioning/heating, and the room cleanliness was among the top two 😥.
The downside is that this is more like renting out a private residence (the owner lives there too), and the apartment building and surrounding environment are quite poor, so you'll have to weigh the value for money yourself. For solo female travelers, I'd definitely recommend a hotel instead.
Also, I have to complain about the menu pricing. The same bottle of water costs 6 EGP (less than 1 RMB) at the downstairs supermarket. It's typical of places that charge domestic hotel prices without providing domestic hotel service quality.

Exceptional Stay with Truly Wonderful Staff!
I recently completed a stay at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed. Everything about my visit, from the moment I checked in until I departed, was good and comfortable.
The physical property itself is excellent; my room was well-maintained, spotless, and provided a peaceful retreat after a long day. The hotel atmosphere is pleasant, and the facilities were exactly what I needed.
However, the highlight of this hotel is unquestionably the nice staff. Every member of the team I interacted with—from the front desk to housekeeping—was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, always greeting me with a smile and making me feel valued as a guest. Their dedication to service truly elevated the entire experience.
If you are looking for a hotel that offers great quality and is staffed by people who clearly take pride in their hospitality, look no further. Highly recommended!

We had a very good stay overall. Considering Cairo standards, the apartment was clean enough and comfortable. The neighborhood and location were excellent, with plenty of great restaurants and cafés nearby.
It’s also very close to the Nile—about a 7-minute walk. There are restaurants on boats along the river where you can enjoy a meal while taking in the view, and you can even go on a Nile cruise from the same area. Honestly, we didn’t need to take a taxi at all for dining or cafés. There’s also a really nice café right at the corner with excellent coffee—I highly recommend it.
The building itself was very quiet, and we didn’t hear any noise from neighbors at all. The only noise was from traffic on the street (cars and motorbikes), which is normal and not really a downside of the apartment.
The building had a security guard, and we were even able to leave our luggage with him after check-out, which made it much easier for us to explore the city before our flight.
Finally, special thanks to Michael, the host. He was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay. No matter what time we messaged him, he always responded and guided us with any questions we had.

The hotel is quite close to the Egyptian museum,
The facility is okay - The place is quite old but clean.
The hotel staff here are very nice especially Mr Anas he was quite energetic and really looking forward to service + friendly
I didn't expect that he was invites me to the lunch together with them
** note** for someone who cannot sleep with the noise - the hotel is quite close to the Egyptian Street which is always honking the horn.
Solution ** ust bring an earplug ( The one that you would receive on in airplane ) and everything's gonna be fine
In conclusion this hotel is reasonably priced for this quality. if you don't expect for something luxury but friendly , This hotel could be your choice

When we arrived, it was a little difficult to find the building, because there was no sign of Lucky Hostel in the lobby. However a very persistent man outside, insisted that the building with sign “El otel”, is the correct building. We trust him and we entered. Another problem, it looked like to use the elevator to 4th floor, we must have access card. We wait for about 5 minutes and fortunately there was a man came down, and we asked his help to tap on the elevator using his card. Other than that, my husband & I were happy to stay in this hostel. Our room was so big and with sofa too!! Staff were very kind and helpful. Breakfast was good. Hot shower was very pleasant in cold morning. And we were very happy that the staff allow us to put our luggage while we were away to Luxor. We stay for total of 4 nights and we were allowed again to put our luggage while we went shopping, because our flight was in the middle of the night.

NedddVery welcoming and helpful. From the initial phone call to the reception, including my special requests, this hotel met all my expectations.
Be sure to check your reservation details carefully if you require a private bathroom. I certainly made sure to specify that I did.
The courtyard is lovely for enjoying a drink and relaxing in the shade.
There are several excellent Asian restaurants nearby. I highly recommend it!
Thank you for everything. See you soon.
