Seogwipo Hotels with Breakfast

Overall, I'm satisfied with the Shilla Hotel, a South Korean chaebol hotel. The hotel and its surroundings, the room's color scheme, and hygiene are all excellent. The restaurant's breakfast buffet is rich and varied, especially the fruit, which is fresh. It would be even better if the flavors were more diverse. Most of the reception staff are quite polite, especially the young lady who checked me in on the first day. She was very kind and understanding, and I'd like to express my gratitude to her. The room service attendant seemed particularly shy and honest. The room cleaning staff, who appeared to be from other Southeast Asian countries, were also quite diligent and polite. In contrast, the service at the pool and buffet restaurant reception was a bit colder. Overall, for the same price, domestic hotels don't offer this level of refinement and experience, so I would still highly recommend it.

This hotel is perfect for a family vacation with young children. There's a Teddy Bear Museum nearby, and the garden pool is great for kids to play in. The Starbucks on the rooftop offers beautiful views. The hotel also has a convenient store, which is very handy. It's about a 20-minute walk to the beach.

The overall service was good, and the rooms were marked with nationality, so Chinese-speaking assistance was available by phone. We could also request a child toilet seat. However, the overall facilities for families were a bit lacking compared to domestic parent-child hotels. There were no complimentary toothbrushes or toothpaste, so we had to bring our own or buy them from a vending machine. Only two bottles of mineral water were provided per day, and anything extra had to be purchased. Seogwipo City felt better for exploring than Jeju City, and both were about the same distance. Hyeopjae Beach is highly recommended. There was a sashimi place in the complex that was delicious, but Mom's fried chicken was just okay. For BHC fried chicken, the front desk could help order delivery, and it was a 15-minute walk away.

The room was great, spacious and clean, with a direct view of the ocean and the infinity pool. The service was excellent; staff could communicate in both English and Chinese. Room service was perfect, with delicious food and complete tableware. It's not close to the airport, but the most beautiful Starbucks on Jeju Island is within walking distance.

The room was very clean and super close to the beach. You can watch the sunrise in the morning, which makes it perfect for a vacation. I highly recommend trying the abalone porridge at the hotel restaurant – it's delicious and not fishy at all!

The hotel is located right on the main road leading to Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak. It's a complex with several buildings, including a cafe and a bistro, giving it a very chill atmosphere at night. The room looked exactly like the hotel's pictures, with an industrial and a bit of a 'prison' vibe, but it was very comfortable and all the amenities were clean. The room is quite small, with the bathroom right next to the bed, so it's perfect for one person, but a bit cramped for two. If you have a lot of luggage, there isn't much space to spread it out. If you're cycling, you can park your bike in the indoor bicycle parking on the first floor of the building at the entrance. The hotel also offers electric bike rentals, charged by the hour. The 'EVERYTHING' building, facing Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, offers great views. There's also a small horse ranch nearby. If your room isn't on the side facing Seongsan Ilchulbong Peak, you can take the elevator to the 4th floor and then stairs to the rooftop terrace (the view from the right-hand door after coming up the stairs is better; the left side has a lot of noisy equipment).

We were quite disappointed upon arrival. We had specifically booked a mountain view room, but were given a city view room with mountains in the distant background—a view that looked nothing like what was advertised in the hotel’s room listing. When we raised this with the front desk and showed them the discrepancy using a photo comparison (our view vs. the advertised one), we were told that the building had been constructed recently and the room photos hadn’t been updated. However, the buildings obstructing our view clearly appeared not to be new, making that explanation unconvincing. What was even more disappointing was the lack of any effort to rectify the situation. The hotel could have at least offered us an alternative room, even a cheaper one with partial sea and mountain views, but this wasn’t done. We ended up paying a premium for a view that didn’t meet expectations, and left feeling misled. Parking The listing stated free parking, but both nights, the hotel car park was full. We had to park in public areas, and one night, we ended up parking at the roadside due to a lack of space. As foreigners unfamiliar with Korean parking regulations, this caused unnecessary stress—we were worried about the risk of parking fines for potentially illegal parking. Other Concerns There seemed to be extra charges for everything. Only two complimentary bottles of water were provided each night. When we went to the lobby to ask for two paper cups, we were told we had to pay for them. Fortunately, this charge was waived—possibly because they were aware of our parking issue—but it still left a negative impression.

I had a wonderful stay at Ocean Blue Hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and wellequipped, great value for the price. Although the location is a bit far from the city center, it offers a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for relaxation. Waking up to the sunrise and ocean view from the balcony was truly the highlight of my stay. A perfect place to unwind and enjoy the calm side of Jeju.

Hotel is in a nice location. Near many food places and food market. They offer breakfast however should be more classic western options. Just add more western options like sausage (was just once during 5 night stay), sunnyside eggs, some fresh fruits and vegetables and it would be great and perfectly for all. But of course I understand customers are mostly Koreans/Asian so for sure options are enough for them.

During the Mother's Day long weekend, it was incredibly comfortable to stay in such a spacious hotel with three beds and hot shower water, all for just 2300 per night. It even had a dining table and a kitchen island. While it's not a luxury hotel, it was truly comfortable. It's close to Jeongbang Waterfall and Olle Market. The best part is that if you walk uphill, there are tons of cheap restaurants, and the black pork BBQ across the street is also quite good. There's a CU downstairs, but its opening hours are inconsistent. If you turn right when you exit the hotel, there's a local convenience store that's very authentic and has a wide variety of items.
