The hotel is fairly easy to find with its large signage outside. The office is located at the rear of the property and there is a large area in front of it to turn vehicles around. There wasn't anyone in the office when we arrive but the blackboard did let us know which unit we were in. The room was already warm and it was quite comfortable. there was a single car park in front of the unit so it was fairly easy to get everything into the room. The room was quite spacious with a small dining area and a kitchenette. There was plenty of plugs around and the WiFi was easy to get on and decent. As Fairlie isn't very big, it was quite central to the town, being a few minute's walk away. It was also close to the museum. The driveway is off the main highway so it makes it a bit safer as the road adds a buffer. It was quite a nice stay. We only stayed overnight and there was no one in the office the following morning. I just left the keys in the room and texted the phone number as they weren't picking up the calls.

Facilities: It should be the best in Lake Tekapo. The room is large, clean and hygienic. The triple room we booked was shown by Ctrip as having one bed. We asked customer service to communicate with the hotel about whether an extra bed could be added, but the reply said no. When we arrived, we discovered that this room type originally had two beds, and the Ctrip photo was not very accurate. Self-check-in was easy and cleanliness was top notch. Heaters were installed in each room, living room and chairman's office, so it was warm. There was also an electric blanket, so I was able to warm up and relieve the fatigue of my trip. The location is also great as the Good Shepherd Church is a 3-minute drive away. Everything was perfect. I will make a reservation again next time.

A nice place to stay. Had a lake view room with bath, which was great. Had stayed around ten year ago and it has recently been refurbished. Bed super comfy and warm. It has heating but no aircon, so would be very warm during January February unless there was a good breeze blowing. Isabella on reception went above and beyond in sorting out wifi issue that some of us guests were experiencing which turned out to be an update issue from their providers. Amazing view of Lake Tekapo and great location in the centre of town - supermarket and restaurants all walking distance away. Room is comfortable and clean. Note there's no lift/elevator if you're not staying on the ground floor.

The house is completely beyond expectations, the room layout is very warm, and the kitchen is equipped with a luxury level, everything! Enjoying cooking by yourself. The key is that the starry sky in the mountains is so beautiful that it explodes. Unless you have to shoot the starry sky in the Shepherd's Church, you don't have to go through the night at all. That starry sky will be unforgettable for life! I encountered a 12-level strong wind that blew off the TV pole that day, and the repair personnel could not do it in a short time. The owner took the children and the family to help them get the generator. Thank you very much for their efforts. By the way, many small hares can be seen around the house at night and in the morning.
