We stayed at Hotel NYX Cancun for a quick getaway and loved it. Because it is a smaller resort, everything from your room to the beach is just a short walk away. The beach area is stunning, clean, and has plenty of shaded spots. Shoutout to the amazing staff who went above and beyond. The food at the specialty restaurants (like the Italian and Japanese options) was a real highlight compared to standard buffets. Rooms are a bit basic, but spotless and comfortable. Perfect if you want a relaxing, budget-friendly beach trip without the chaotic party vibe

This hotel is right in the middle of Cancun's Hotel Zone. It's not a huge resort, so there aren't tons of entertainment options. The buffet selection was decent, and the suite we booked was really spacious.

Getting to the hotel lobby requires climbing a long flight of stairs, and there's no elevator, which is extremely inconvenient. To make matters worse, there's no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Every night, people in the lobby were making a lot of noise until the early hours, making it impossible to sleep, and no one seemed to do anything about it. The breakfast was very basic, and the staff weren't particularly proactive.

NYX Cancun has both good and bad points. It’s in a good location, suggests all the best facilities, staff are friendly and generally accommodating, and the rooms are well proportioned and feel good. However, all inclusive does not mean all inclusive with lots of things excluded on every menu, at the bar, On the beach, at the spa – there’s not paid upgrade everywhere so all inclusive is more just average. On the day after you arrive the team Are very pushy to take you to a 90 minute presentation to join their club. The 90% of people it won’t be the right choice, but for those who go to NYX regularly it might be useful, offer people that like the NYX type of Hotel, for others who just want to come and enjoy your vacation the presentation and pushy sales is a big turn off. There is a massive problem with availability around the pool. The pool is small for the number of rooms in the Hotel, and it’s not available all day as you would expect – the events team are constantly taking it over for Aqua aerobics, water volleyball so at the peak hours of the day you can’t actually go for a relaxing swim. Also, the lounge is around the pool of part few for the number of guests, often all being fully reserved by 7:30 am with people showing up mid morning not staying on them all day but blocking everybody else. The Hotel does have space on the beach, but all the premium spaces are saved For paid upgrades, And their exclusive paid club which is hundreds of dollars a year more. Finally, allergies with the food is dangerous – cross-contamination in the buffet and the staff don’t take it that seriously.
If you want a well located Hotel for a reasonable cost with a nice room and you’re prepared to do the sunbed fight don’t mind a presentation and love friendly staff – it’s a great place to stay. If you want midmorning availability at the pool, all inclusive to mean all inclusive, or you have dietary requirements – there are elements that may not be ideal. Not a bad Hotel, but more average than great.

The noise from cars and motorcycles in the room facing the road was so loud I couldn't sleep. I wish they offered takeout options when you have an early tour departure.

My wife and I had an unforgettable and wonderful experience at NYX Hotel. The hotel's warm and hospitable experience made me extremely excited. Every delicious meal leaves me at a loss as to what to choose. The restaurant works very late every day, allowing guests to have a meal at any time. It is particularly worth mentioning that the front desk staff, Aejandro and Olivcr, helped me with everything. You know, I don't speak English, let alone Spanish. When there was a problem with the one-day tour I booked with the travel agency, Aejandro made many calls for me and helped me solve the problem. I want to thank these two handsome Mexican lads! Next time I come, I will still choose NYX!

Our vacation in Cancun was terrible. The hotel was dirty. As an elderly couple, we specifically asked for a quiet room, but instead, they put us right under five air conditioners, and there was constant construction next door. They even tried to extort money from us for a room upgrade. The food was poor quality, and the dishes were dirty. The pool was tiny, and all activities were held by the bar, which was very dirty and noisy. The beach was completely covered in seaweed, making it impossible to swim. One day, a tractor was burying all the seaweed in the sand right when everyone was heading to the beach.

I stayed in a sea-view room, which was incredibly spacious. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable. The sea view was absolutely stunning. The hotel's dining options were also excellent.

This hotel offers great value for money, especially considering its location in Zone 7. I wouldn't recommend the all-inclusive package, as the food is quite mediocre and not all restaurants are included – some require a multi-night stay. The beach, however, is lovely and has relatively few seaweed issues.

We made a reservation after reading reviews saying the Italian restaurant was delicious, but it turned out that the Italian restaurant was not included in the all-inclusive plan.
However, the other food was also very good.
We called to request drinks to be restocked in the fridge, but they never arrived.
Although it was the low season, the pool was small and there were never any available seats.
At night, there was live band music in the lobby, and we had a great time.

I love to stay in this hotel but if I have another chance to visit this place I might choose it 50This was my first time visiting Cancun, and I chose this hotel. I had a wonderful and fulfilling stay, but if I had another chance to come back to Cancun, I would say there’s only about a 50% chance that I would choose this hotel again. Let me share both the highlights and the inconveniences.
What I liked:
Because I booked the all-inclusive option, all food and drinks were free. The food and beverages at the deck restaurant and on the beach were more than perfect. The quality of the food was excellent, the menu was great, and the fruits and drinks were absolutely the best. The hotel room was very spacious. Although our balcony was quite small, I was still very satisfied. The hotel had a charming atmosphere that reminded me of Santorini, Greece. The room was very clean, cool, and always stocked with drinks in the fridge. The hotel also offered a variety of activities. I personally wanted to rest, so I didn’t participate, but it seemed like there were plenty of options.
What I didn’t like:
Even though it was all-inclusive, I heard that some of the more upscale restaurants were not included, and there was an extra charge to dine there. Since I only stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, I was happy with the deck restaurant, but if I had stayed longer, I probably would have wanted to try them. I also felt uncomfortable with the pushy sales tactics for massage services. At first, the hotel offered me a complimentary massage simply because I was from Canada. However, when they later found out that I was a student here, they canceled it immediately, saying it was only available for working professionals. I hadn’t wanted the massage in the first place, but I didn’t like that they offered it just to get my information and then withdrew it so abruptly.
Another downside was the noise. At night, it was very loud, with karaoke-like singing from about 9:30 p.m. until almost 11 p.m. During the day, there was also the sound of drilling from construction that went on for hours. If you are looking for a quiet hotel, this is definitely not the right place.
When I first booked through Trip.com, I had reserved a room with a king-size bed. But at check-in, the hotel told me there was no king room available and instead tried to sell me an upgrade to an ocean-view room with a larger balcony and king-size bed for USD $160. I declined, and in the end, I was given a room with two queen beds, a smaller balcony, and a half-ocean view. Honestly, I was still satisfied with that.
The hotel is located roughly in the middle of the Hotel Zone—not too far north or south. I had booked a private van, and it took about 20–25 minutes from the airport. They said La Isla Mall was nearby, but when I passed by, I noticed many of the stores were closed. If you come expecting a vibrant shopping mall, you might be disappointed, so keep that in mind.

This was a really good stay. I stayed at the master suite which was spacious clean and had a great seafront view. The hotel is small which makes it very cosy and intimate compared to big hotels. Staff are nice and breakfast was good. Location is very good near to a big shopping mall. I enjoyed the stay.

The shower is very bad, and the water doesn't drain.
In some buildings, there is no elevator, so we had to go up four floors with two 23kg bags through the stairs.
