"We stayed here for 7 nights and honestly, it wasn’t long enough! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and looked after. This family-run hotel is an absolute gem, and it exceeded all our expectations. The swimming pool was a brilliant size, always sparkling clean, and to our surprise, we often had it all to ourselves, even in the high season. The location is ideal, tucked in the heart of a charming little village, close to the beach, yet blissfully peaceful. The owners, friendly receptionist and staff were so welcoming and always took the time to mingle with the guests, which we loved. Every single staff member was kind and friendly, going out of their way to make sure we were happy. We arrived to find bottles of water and wine waiting in the fridge, and were greeted with fresh orange juice on both arrival and departure, a lovely touch. The room was spotlessly clean, the bed and pillows extremely comfortable, and the air conditioning and shower worked perfectly (which was a must in the summer heat!). There was also a safety deposit box available for peace of mind. In addition, the WiFi always worked really well. Breakfasts were a daily highlight with plenty of options, and the personal touches throughout the stay made it feel like home. When we rented a car, the owner even made sure we had a space to park safely alongside the hotel. There’s also a handy convenience shop right on-site, run by the same family, super useful for snacks and essentials. We explored the area and saw several other hotels nearby, and were really happy with the choice we made. We’re already planning to return next year, especially to see the next phase of renovations, which are already looking fantastic. If you’re after a quiet, relaxed and authentic getaway, with everything you need close by and the warmest of welcomes, this is the place. An absolute 10/10."

"We loved the place,the food was excellent,the room good size,close to the beach,clean and pleasant atmosphere.There is a monastery called the Mother of God Odigitria Gonia close to the hotel very worth visiting.Would like to urge anyone who is visiting to feed and give some water to the homeless cats there,some of those poor creatures have been injured by humans and need castration,they live on the right when you leave the hotel."

"We spent an unforgettable week in this hotel in June and had a wonderful experience. The place is new, very clean, and equipped with all the comforts needed for a pleasant stay. The real highlight is the breakfast: rich and varied, with both sweet and savory options. On request, they also offer gluten-free choices, with great attention to all dietary needs and food intolerances. Very nice also the swimming pool. The staff is extremely helpful, kind, and always ready to meet every request with a smile. Absolutely recommended!"

"We had a wonderful stay, starting with the warm welcome from the owner, with lots of tips for our visit to Chania. It is a charming historical building in a central location in the old town, a short walk from the harbour, in a quiet side street. We had a spacious and well-equipped room with a very comfortable bed, some lovely complementary wine, other drinks in the fridge, as well as fruit and chocolates. Our room had a small, private balcony but we also had access to the wonderful roof terrace - a green oasis with views across the town. Highly recommended!"

"Your hotel has potential to be good, but infrastructure is old (outdated, need refurbishing). Staff is friendly, educated and helpful - but a limited capacity to do changes during your day (positive aspect). Swimming pool is very good and very well maintained (upside). Rooms are super small furniture needs urgent repair (furniture, squeaks, and rattles bed, shower, very old style). It could be a good call if you let the reservation for the last minute and remain without any further option (like myself … ;-)). I ended up leaving one day earlier and found another place for last days sleep before coming back home."

Every morning felt like a unique culinary experience, with something new to enjoy. What made our stay even more special was the outstanding staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, welcoming, and attentive, always going the extra mile to make us feel at home. A truly exceptional hotel that delivers a memorable luxury experience in every detail. "We had a 3-night stay in July, one adult, two children. The hotel is newly built and in excellent condition, at a prime location in Palaiochora - just in front the sandy beach. Magnificent view from our balcony. There was a special offer for the umbrella/sunbed sets for the hotel guests. The breakfast was delicious, including lots of local products. Very friendly staff and owner, always willing to help. We had a great time at Ammos Hotel and we highly and unreservedly recommend it."

First we had an upgrade where the apartment we chose did not have a sea view and we were given the same one with a sea view, but this view was 150m away, which in my opinion is very far, secondly, on both nights so the air conditioning was throwing water while we slept, we complained and the problem was solved, thirdly, at the end of the day we never had hot water, we complained and the problem remained, but the worst thing was the allocation of the apartments, we traveled with another family of 3 people, This family also had an upgrade in their apartment, they were given a superior suite that was larger than the apartment we were in, we, who were 4 people, stayed in a smaller apartment than the family of 3 people... In terms of the restaurant, the food was delicious but Nothing spectacular, what surpassed it was the friendliness of the staff."

Because I arrived at the hotel quite late, I found a cake and champagne in my room when I returned the next day after going out. It was wonderful! 👍"

Firstly, the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean; secondly, the overall environment of the resort is very beautiful, and the facilities are complete. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good when we went, so we didn't get to enjoy the outdoor pool; thirdly, the hotel includes two meals, and the food was plentiful and delicious; the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and rooms were all warm and polite; it's very close to the beach, making it a great place for a relaxing vacation. "My wife and I have tried a lot of hotels on Crete and now have finaly found our favorite! A lovely adults-only hotel close to the beach and centre of the village. The staff is exceptionally friendly and really cares about their guests. We had a room with private pool and enjoyed a relaxed bathe in the sun on the comfortable sundbed, followed by a cooling plunge in the privacy of our pool. Starting the day in the Autograph reetaurant with a delicious fully a la carte breakfast was a most relaxing experience. No queing, yet the full range of a buffet to choose from, everything served be the very iriendly staff at the table. The hotel, the beach area and all facilites were clean and well kept. We can certainly recommend the Hormony Boutique Hotel and have already booked our next stay."

"The room didn't match the photos on the booking; they put us in a side building across the street with no elevator. The room smelled strongly of renovation or mold. It was extremely noisy at night, with loud noises outside until 3 or 4 AM, and continued until 6 or 7 AM with people using sledgehammers and chisels, presumably for renovations. If you're looking for a quiet, upscale hotel, don't be fooled by the photos. We originally booked three nights, but after negotiating with the hotel, we cancelled the last two nights—a very wise decision. A vacation isn't for suffering."

"False Advertising: The photos presented on your website do not correspond at all to reality. They show another hotel, much more modern and clean. Upon arrival, I discovered an old, poorly maintained room with a musty, dirty smell. Unsanitary Conditions: The room was in a deplorable state. The outlets were yellow with grime, the bed was infested with insects, and there was hair on the sheets. The toilet was so dirty that I felt physically ill when I saw it. In addition, the bath towels were stained yellow. Additional Problems: I discovered that the air conditioning was chargeable, which was not mentioned when I booked. In addition, the Wi-Fi, which was supposed to be included, did not work at all. Poor customer service: When I explained the situation to the receptionist, he refused to help us and was extremely rude. Based on these facts, I believe that the hotel has not respected the conditions of the reservation, and that the quality of service is well below what is acceptable."
