Royal Sun
"We had such a great experience! Room was comfy and clean and they even offered a free laundry room which was very helpful. I would also recommend the restaurant the food was amazing. Not to mention the view from the hotel was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again."
Hyperion City Hotel & Spa
"Great hotel"
Niriis Hotel
"Our stay at the Niriis Hotel was most enjoyable and the room clean and tidy. The cost is reasonable and location very handy to the local bus that takes you to Chania old town, and also the departure point for the tourist fun train. Fabulous sandy beaches are only a few minutes walk away. Owner George and the reception staff are helpful and go the extra mile if you need assistance or have any questions, on what to see and do. Tours can also be booked at the hotel. Would recommend staying here."
Hippie City Hostel
"The room was what you'd expect for the price. It was a bit dirty, and I didn't feel it matched the photos. However, the staff were incredibly kind and helpful! Even though their English wasn't fluent, they used a phone app to translate and communicate with me. They even let us watch the World Cup match on the rooftop until 1 AM, which was really great."
Elia Kalamaki Hotel
"We booked 4 nights here but due to an airline strike we ended up with only one night with two rooms for 2 adults and 3 kids. That was a pity as this hotel deserves more than only one night! Fantastic service-level, friendly personnel and a great place to be. One minute from the beach (the one next to Kalamaki restaurant is the better in our opinion) and a couple of good restaurants (Kalamaki and especially an Italian place on the corner). Close to the city of Chania with buses passing by all the time. Highly recommended! Ps: The breakfast was also good!"
Aris Boutique Hotel
"Fantastic hotel in a village that reminds me of the the Cyclades 30 years ago. Clean well maintained rooms and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast. Easy access to hiking, biking (hotel provides trail bikes) and beaches. I hope to visit again for a longer stay. Thank you!! PS Cafe Almyrida 100 meters down the street serves one of the best cappuccinos i have ever had!"
Perla Beach
"Small Hotel near beach .Very clean large room with everything you need .Quiet location in the middle of a busy area. Truly wonderful Staff was very kind ,helpful and very hospitable at all times .Everything was perfect .Thank you GEORGE !!! and Natalia ."
Camping Chania
"Perfect stay. The beach is very close and the city center too. We stayed in a bungalow and we loved it. Staff of reception was very helpful and organised some trips for us, like Samaria gorge. Value for money"
Kavos Hotel & Suites
"What Stood Out: Our stay at Kavos Hotel & Suites was amazing! We stayed in a suite with a private pool that offered a fabulous view—definitely a highlight of the trip. The housekeeping staff was wonderful—always friendly and did a fantastic job keeping everything spotless. We loved the buffet breakfast each morning, which was delicious and had plenty of variety. The time we spent in the ocean was unforgettable, with crystal-clear waters that made it feel like we were snorkelling in an aquarium. The hotel went above and beyond with thoughtful touches like a complimentary bottle of local wine, honey, and snacks, which made us feel truly welcomed. Another bonus was the car rental included with our room, which made exploring the area easy, and the complimentary shuttle to the airport was incredibly convenient. Our driver also gave us great local recommendations, which we really appreciated. What I Wish I Knew Ahead of Time: The hotel is in a remote location, so having a car is essential to explore the area and access nearby restaurants and attractions. It’s beautifully secluded, but you'll need to plan ahead for dining and activities outside the property. Overall Recommendation: I would highly recommend Kavos Hotel & Suites to anyone looking for a peaceful, luxurious stay in Crete. The remote location offers stunning views and privacy, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. From the excellent service to the little extra touches, everything about our stay was perfect, and we’d absolutely stay here again!"

Nireas Hotel
"We had a fantastic stay at Nireas hotel. We had two ground floor rooms that backed onto a gorgeous, lovely peaceful pool and one other studio. The rooms were very spacious, had 3 beds and great shower room too. We had a wheelchair and no problems with access in the hotel, although there is a hill up to the hotel. The cleaner did an exceptional job every day, and it was lovely to be greeted by a different towel arrangement on the beds. The balcony's were spacious and perfect for lunch or to sit together in the evening. The hotel is set back from the main road, so far enough away from the noise but close enough to shops, restaurants, and beaches are about 10 mins walk. The pool bar was a welcome bonus with cold bottles of water, beers and cocktails. Pina Colada highly recommend. Christos, the owner, was fantastic helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble. He recommend trips, restaurants and was kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The pool was so clean and there wasn’t a rush for the sunbeds! Various Greek "supermarkets" are about a minute away at bottom of hill. Cafe and Crepe bar 2 mins away. Lots of taverna's close by, if you want beautful views then Artemis down the road to the Golden Bay beach is fabulous. Beautiful setting with Greek dancing and fireworks. The Farmers restaurant also serves great seafood. Beaches were beautiful and there is even a Lidl in this resort about 10 -15 mins walk. We all said we would go back to Nireas as it's a haven of beauty where you feel so welcome and relaxed. We loved it."
Halepa Hotel
"Such a beautiful hotel located in perfect location- from old town, beaches and the rest. Suite was gorgeous. Pillows comfy. Breakfast is lovely, Simple and well laid out. Staff are friendly and helpful. Courtyard to have breakfast is so serene and stunning. Possibly the best accomodation for the area and value you receive. Bed a tiny bit hard but not so bad as everything else is comfortable and accomodating. Thank you"
Mossa Well Being Hotel
"Fabulous experience at this hotel. Impeccable service throughout my 4 days here, and the room was spacious and lovely ! Breakfast was filling , everything was amazing. Wished I could stay a few more days here. Will definitely come back if I visit Crete"
Alexandros Studios
"Michael & Inka strive to make everyone feel like one of the family. The accommodation is excellent wth all the facilities you would expect and the pool is brilliant with a separate pool for little ones. The local area has many excellent tavernas and the local bus service to Chania is regular and inexpensive. Local Taxis are reasonably priced and from the bus station in Chania you can catch an extremely comfortable (and inexpensive) coach to most places on the Island. The variety of scenery, from beach to mountain is unrivalled anywhere and places worth a visit are Paleachora, Knossos, Rethymnon, Prevelli, and for the extremely fit - The Samaria Gorge to name but a few. I enjoy fishing and Michael has plenty of tackle for the angler to use whilst on holiday - at no extra cost!!!"
Harmony Boutique Resort - Adults Only
"I cannot recommend the harmony boutique resort enough and this is because of the amazing staff that we encountered including the amazing cleaners that work so hard to make sure the hotel is what it is. The servers were incredible in Ophelia and at the front desk. The hotel room was immaculate, the little details were amazing too! And we LOVED the air con!! The H20 bar was lush! The cocktails were made so well. The only issue we had was some (and I say some) people around the resort was quite rude at times but we soon met other lovely people. The only other fault was that at H20 it’s very hard to get a sunbed, often people would go off to eat or explore the town but leave their belongings. I think that staff should be able to remove their towels etc if they have been gone for a certain time to make it fair for everyone, we didn’t want to keep sitting at the tables. Thank you for everything harmony boutique! We will be back"
JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa
"The hotel has only been open for two months. The location is a bit out of the way, but the environment is quite nice, the service is excellent, and the food in the hotel restaurant is also very good. It's great value for money. I unexpectedly celebrated my birthday at the hotel on the day I checked in. Because I arrived at the hotel quite late, I found a cake and champagne in my room when I returned the next day after going out. It was wonderful! 👍"
Vignette Collection THE CHANIA HOTEL CRETE by IHG
"The location of the hotel is definitely very good and a plus point. We were greeted in a friendly manner and the lady at the bar gave us a welcome drink. The hotel looks quite high-quality at the entrance and you feel like you're in good hands. I would say it's not 5-star level, but around 3.5-4 absolutely. The room we were given unfortunately had no windows (the description said there was one). No problem for us. Our biggest criticism is that there was no door in the shower because it had been removed. So you couldn't shower properly without water spraying outside. When we told reception, they just said "we didn't know" and preferred to answer the ringing phone and leave the guest standing there. Who would know if not the hotel, so unfortunately it's far from 5-star service. We expected a small apology and that the problem would be taken care of. I think it's a real shame that you pay so much money and then get a room that doesn't meet the standard and isn't really at the level you want it to be given to guests. Luckily we only spent one day here and had previously spent the week in a real 5-star hotel. I can really only give this hotel 3/5 stars overall."
Aloe Boutique Hotel & Suites - Adults Only
"We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a positive experience, particularly if your priority is relaxation and switching off completely. The hotel itself is modern in design, with excellent facilities throughout. The gym and pool areas were always spotless and very well maintained, and the reception staff were consistently professional, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed in one of the loft rooms, which was comfortable overall and nicely designed, although it did feel a little clinical with the all-white décor. It was difficult to get enough air circulating, and it often felt quite stuffy, especially at night. The pool area was beautiful and peaceful, but for us it lacked a little atmosphere. It remained very quiet throughout the day, which will be perfect for guests looking for complete peace and relaxation, but those looking for a more social or lively holiday vibe may find it a little too subdued. I also used the spa and booked a sports massage, which unfortunately fell below expectations. It didn’t feel particularly tailored or therapeutic, and for the price, I didn’t feel it offered great value. The hotel is located in a quiet village with some very good restaurants nearby. Although, we found ourselves taking taxis into Chania when we wanted a little more atmosphere, character, and variety. The only other minor point was that one waiter came across as less approachable than the rest of the team, which stood out because otherwise the service was very good. Overall, this is a great if you’re looking for a stylish, peaceful escape. If you prefer a livelier atmosphere or more going on nearby, it’s worth keeping the location and overall vibe in mind."
Samaria Hotel
"The service is good. I asked if I would like to help us with our luggage or send me to the airport. A welcome drink is also provided. It does feel like a high-end hotel. In addition, they can do valet parking, just park the car next to the hotel and find their staff."
SanSal Boutique Hotel
"Excellent stay. The staff is very helpful and full of recommandations. The view from the room is very beautiful as the pool on the roof top. Rooms are clean. Large breakfast choice with local dishes."
Sun and Sea Plus Resort
"After EasyJet booking is in here after the air traffic control issues on Bank holiday Monday. All I can say is Wow we got lucky. What a fabulous place. Wish we had been here for the whole holiday. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the staff have been super friendly and helpful from the moment we got here. The food has been out of this world and the staff super knowledgeable about the local wines. If you want to have a really laid back time and chance to experience and explore Cretan life here is your place. If you want entertainment and all inclusive then this is not for you. If you want exceptional food and fantastic knowledgeable staff who can direct you to local wineries and food, this is for you. It’s so laid back. Having found this place we are already looking to book for next year. What a fantastic find. Thank you to all the lovely staff here who have made what was an incredibly stressful situation an amazing extension to our holiday. We cannot praise them all enough. Thank you"
Villa Alexander
"Wonderful place with extreme cleanliness. Excellent clean big pool with lots of sunbeds. All staff were extremely friendly and would recommend Villa Alexander to everyone"
Atlantica Ocean Beach Resort
"julius and andreas are the best! Their energy is perfect and we loved to do different kind of games and activities with them! We would love to visit again! Also thanks for other people! Wish nothing but the best for you!!"
Monastery Estate Venetian Harbor
"A hotel with local characteristics, very high ceilings, and enthusiastic staff. It should be a hotel renovated on a ruin. The restaurant next to the hotel is also very good."
Elia Hotel & Spa
Sirios Village Hotel & Bungalows - All Inclusive
"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed every moment of our vacation. We chose a room with a private pool, and it was definitely worth it. The room was newly renovated, modern, spacious, beautifully designed, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was outstanding, and every member of the staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always smiling. We stayed for a week, and the all-inclusive program offered a great variety of food, drinks, and entertainment, making our stay enjoyable throughout. There was always something to choose from, and the quality of the food was excellent. One of our favorite parts was the live cooking. The freshly made crêpes were delicious, while the gyros and pizzas prepared in front of us were fantastic. And of course, we couldn’t resist the soft-serve ice cream! A big thank you to the entire team for their excellent hospitality and outstanding service. They made our stay truly special. We would definitely choose this hotel again in the future and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable all-inclusive holiday."
