In terms of rooms, the rammed earth hut felt a bit dated, while the cliff-view suite offered a superior view. **Environment:** Before visiting Naked Castle, I absolutely loved Naked Stables. Even after 15 years, its 'wild luxury' concept still leads the pack. However, after going to Naked Castle, I grew to prefer its hilltop scenery, which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains. **Dining:** At Naked Stables, we dined at Tian She, and at Naked Castle, we ate at the Paotailou Chinese Restaurant. Tian She at Naked Stables was a clear winner; their home-style dishes were exceptionally well-prepared. In contrast, Paotailou Chinese Restaurant had no distinctive features and wasn't even particularly tasty. **Service:** Relatively speaking, Naked Castle provided a more detailed service with a one-on-one butler, Xiao Yang, in addition to their official customer service. However, both resorts lacked standardized training. For instance, regarding departure gifts, which were clearly included in the booking, Naked Stables didn't offer one during check-out. After I brought it up, they gave me one cup, and then another when I mentioned that others received two. Naked Castle, on the other hand, asked me to choose a color beforehand, which was great. But then why were the sizes different between the two resorts? I found that very odd. The smaller size given by Naked Castle was less practical. I experienced travel photography at both, from the same company. I preferred the photos from Naked Stables, and their customer service was also more accommodating and polite. **Friendly Reminders:** The round bed in the rammed earth huts at Naked Stables only has a bathtub and no shower, so choose carefully if you're not a couple. The mountain road to Naked Castle can be challenging for new drivers, so please drive safely. Also, Naked Castle had many insects at night that I'd never seen before. Furthermore, for a luxury hotel priced over 3000, it's unheard of for the mini-bar to separate non-alcoholic beverages and snacks, making only the soft drinks free. It's either all free or nothing. Why offer some items for a fee and some for free, then place them together and expect guests to scan codes to figure out which is which? Guests paying this price typically don't mind spending a bit extra on food, but it's truly a hassle…

Crystal thoughtfully arranged a room closest to the restaurant for my 80-year-old mother. Since my mother is vegetarian, she also received special attention when ordering meals. All the hotel staff were warm and enthusiastic, making for a fantastic experience. And there was a rainbow after the rain, bringing a lot of good luck!

My stay at Naked Retreats Moganshan was quite disappointing overall. Personally, I don't think it was worth the price of over 3,000 RMB per night. First, the service. Upon arriving at the parking lot, the reception staff were very unprofessional. They weren't proactive enough with handling luggage, and their tone when communicating was quite brusque. For a resort hotel in this price range, the arrival reception should be a basic service component, but the actual experience fell far short of expectations. Next, the dining. The food at the castle's Chinese restaurant was very mediocre, even bordering on unappetizing. Neither the taste nor the overall experience matched the hotel's positioning and price point. As for the hotel's environment and scenery, it wasn't as stunning as the online promotions made it out to be. After checking in, I found the views to be rather ordinary. If you're solely looking for mountain views and a resort atmosphere, I personally feel that many places in Anji offer a better natural environment and experience. At over 3,000 RMB a night, I can accept a high price, but that price should reflect in the service, dining, environment, and attention to detail. This time, none of these aspects met my expectations. Based on this stay, I won't be returning, nor would I recommend it to anyone with high standards for service quality and value for money.

Our stay at Naked Stables was absolutely wonderful, and I have to give a special shout-out to our housekeeper, Vivian. Our WeChat communication was incredibly smooth; she helped us coordinate and book activities like pottery and ornament weaving in the park. The service attitude was excellent, and the entire room and castle 🏰 were incredibly photogenic. All the staff were very enthusiastic ❤️❤️❤️❤️. There's an infinity pool, which the kids absolutely loved, and a children's play area too. Breakfast is a buffet. And the environment? It's indescribable – just sitting in the mountains, sipping coffee ☕, and enjoying the peaceful flow of time.

Naked Castle is a landmark in Moganshan, boasting a rich history from being a British summer retreat to a gathering place for celebrities during the Republic of China era. It's a prime example of the 'foreign-style' guesthouses in Moganshan. While many new luxury resorts have sprung up in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai region over the years, and the Naked series continues to evolve, Naked Castle's scenery is truly unparalleled. Perched atop a mountain, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Moganshan range, with its own private outdoor pool. The themed rooms inside the castle are incredibly unique, making you feel as if you've traveled back to medieval Europe, sharing a dwelling with a diverse group of people. My only minor complaint would be the somewhat understated presence of the staff. Many newer resorts have a more proactive and attentive service approach.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, with an excellent location right inside Moganshan. For anyone looking to hike Moganshan, there's no need to go out of your way; the hotel itself is within the scenic area, so you're essentially already there. Our butler, Roger, was incredibly attentive and responsive to all our requests!

This time, we tried the Cliff View Suite, the Castle Secret Room, and the Luxury Courtyard. We'll definitely look for opportunities to experience more next time. Also, the hotel's Nude Leaf SPA is worth trying again.

We stayed for one night with our parents and kids, and it was a fantastic experience! The butler, Crystal, created a group chat beforehand to confirm our arrival time and asked about the guests, recommending suitable floors and rooms – very thoughtful. The cliff-side room offers absolutely stunning views. At night, after Deqing city lights dim, you can stargaze. I initially thought the castle restaurant would be expensive, but after eating there, I found it to be excellent value for money. Although we had to wait a little, all the dishes were freshly prepared and of a very high standard, far surpassing any restaurant in the village at the foot of the mountain. For entertainment, there's an infinity pool, billiards, ping-pong, pottery, archery, and more. It's not crowded, so you can enjoy everything. For pottery, you need to queue early; we missed out at 10 AM. Friends told me the spa is also top-notch, so I'll try it next time. Finally, I have to mention the photoshoot. Each room gets three complimentary photos. The photographer was incredibly patient, and the photo editor was kind and beautiful. There was absolutely no hard-selling. I initially thought of buying a few extra photos, but then I was told that since we had three rooms, we could get nine photos! The photography, composition, and editing were simply superb. I also want to thank Crystal and Lily again for their patience and understanding. It was hot, which can be stressful, and we encountered a few minor issues. After effective communication, the cause was quickly identified and resolved efficiently. **Facilities:** The cliff-side room is fully equipped, and the pastoral cabin offers good value for money. **Hygiene:** Clean and tidy. There were some small insects in the castle during the evening. **Environment:** Absolutely stunning. **Service:** Probably the best service I've ever experienced in a hotel. **On-site travel photoshoot:** I've already reviewed it above. All I can say is it's worth the money. If it wasn't so hot, I would have done a whole session!

This truly lives up to its reputation as the best hotel in Moganshan. The environment and scenery are absolutely top-notch. We stayed in a two-bedroom villa, and the hotel proactively communicated with us about children's amenities and supplies. The courtyard had a massage bathtub, which both the kids and my parents loved. The bedding was also quite comfortable. The only minor drawback was that for a room rate of over 7k, there wasn't a dedicated butler service, just a customer service WeChat contact. The older staff members provided excellent service, but the newer employees were noticeably unfamiliar with their duties; perhaps more training could be implemented in the future.

Ever since Naked Retreats opened in Moganshan, I've been following their properties there. Finally getting to stay at Naked Castle felt like fulfilling a long-held wish. And as expected, it was a pleasant surprise and simply stunning! It's mysterious yet accessible, feeling secluded without being too far from civilization. You can switch between the mountain tranquility and the outside world in just half an hour. I'll definitely be back.
