In the morning at sunrise, there are beautiful views of the mountains. By the pool, there's a mini-bar where you can order beer, snacks, cocktails – everything you need. We loved everything. It's close to the city center where all the cafes and restaurants are, and not far from the Nine Arch Bridge. Choose this hotel, you won't regret it."

Overall, all the staff were kind, attentive, and made the experience memorable."

"This place is beautiful. Right in the Ella jungle, with an incredible view. The room was beautiful - new, spacious and well equipped with everythng you'd need. It is literally a four minute walk from the Nine Arches Bridge. Getting into and out of town was easy - they offer a free tuk tuk service. The breakfast was very generous indeed and you will not go shy of fresh fruit! The two guys looking after the place were amazing - so kind and attentive; they will look after you. Solid recommend."

"Perfect Stay in the Heart of Ella! We recently stayed at Bridge Front Inn and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Everything about this place is excellent. The staff here are incredibly attentive and friendly; they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. We were greeted with a complimentary freshly made passion fruit juice, which was a delicious way to start our stay. The location is simply ideal — right next to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge, making it super convenient for exploring Ella's main attractions on foot. Although we didn't use their shuttle service because we weren't aware of it when booking, the owner kindly agreed to drive us to a restaurant one evening, showing true hospitality. The food was another highlight, absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet deserves a special mention as there is an enormous selection of dishes to choose from. Our room was spotlessly clean with fresh bed linen and brilliantly white towels. Highly recommended!"

"I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the wonderful experience my family and my friend's family had during our visit to Misty Villas on 14th August. Misty Villas is truly a beautiful place. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and the food was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent, and every one was very friendly and accommodating to the guest. The rooms were luxurious, truly comparable to a 5 star hotel. I would especially like to commend Mr. Roshan, the manager. Who was incredibly kind, friendly, helpful and lovely. His expetional service made our stay even more enjoyable. "Stay away from this hotel! The hotel rooms isn’t what’s pictured on booking sites, the entrance is through a forest on a mountain and through other buildings. The walls is stained, door is leaking, and the room are nasty. The entrance pathway crumbled under me so a nail went through my foot and got several scratches. It is NOT a hotel, not even a bungalow. I would rather sleep with the homeless dogs than stay there one night. We checked out 30 minutes after we checked in. At least the manager was nice enough to give a full refund and drive us to another hotel."

We didn't hear any noise, but it doesn't look very nice. There's no parking, and the bike bell broke during the night. The furniture isn't very new. It's best to book something in Ella in advance for the summer, or go elsewhere; it's incredibly crowded."

"We truly regret that we stayed at TE DALU Resort & Spa Ella for only one night at the very end of our trip. Honestly, we wish we had spent much more time there because this hotel was absolutely wonderful. First of all, the hotel is very new, modern, and beautifully designed. The location is excellent, surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and peaceful nature. The infinity pool overlooking the mountains was simply stunning. When we entered our room, we were speechless — the view literally took our breath away. The room was very spacious, bright, stylish, and thoughtfully designed with every comfort in mind. One of our favorite parts was the shower area with the window and an incredible mountain view. It created such a relaxing and unforgettable atmosphere. Another detail that impressed us a lot: this was the only hotel during our entire one-week Sri Lanka tour that served real loose-leaf tea instead of tea bags. As tea lovers, we appreciated this so much. The hotel truly lives up to its name “TE DALU,” which, as we understood, means “tea leaf” — and if we are correct, that makes it even more special. The staff welcomed us very warmly with traditional Sri Lankan hospitality. Mr. Shaluka at the reception was especially kind, professional, and helpful during our stay. We would also like to sincerely thank Mr. Ranga, who assisted us during the booking process before our trip. He was extremely helpful, polite, and arranged a fantastic room for us. Thank you very much, Mr. Ranga, for your excellent assistance and hospitality. There are only two small points we would like to mention honestly. One night after returning late from the city, we could not reach any staff members through the WA chat or by calling reception (0), even though we needed assistance with something for the room. Noone responded finally. We kindly suggest improving the night service availability, because guests may need help at any hour and hotel service should ideally be available 24/7. The second small detail is that cars cannot drive directly to the reception because the road becomes narrow near the hotel. However, this should absolutely not stop anyone from booking the hotel, because it is only around 30 meters away. The hotel’s tuk-tuk service conveniently transports guests and luggage from the parking point directly to the reception and back, which was actually a charming experience. Overall, this hotel gave us one of the best impressions during our Sri Lanka trip. It combines beautiful design, amazing views, comfort, excellent hospitality, and very reasonable prices. We highly recommend TE DALU Resort & Spa Ella to everyone visiting Ella. Thank you very much for such a memorable stay. We will definitely choose your hotel again next visit"

"This hotel is basic. No duvet in the room, apparently you have to request one. Nice welcome tea and some local snacks while waiting to check in but beware there are still mosquitoes around despite the cooler temperature. I got bitten twice whilst waiting to check in. I was put on the ground floor with a view of the car park which was disappointing given the incredible views on offer of Ella from the rooms higher up. They have a swimming pool from what I can tell is a bit cold! The omelette at breakfast was good and they found me some green tea when I asked for it. The buffet at dinner was ok and included slices of pizza. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all I imagine this hotel offers great views but it is way too far out from the centre of Ella so if you plan to go into town in the evening you’re looking at paying around 5,000 rupees for a taxi to take you, wait there for you and bring you back. So unless you’re there for a specific reason I’d stay closer to all the shops and bars in town."

"We had a confirmed booking at “Tea Garden Holiday Inn” in Ella, but on arrival at 7 PM om 20th April, (after informing them in advance), the host /manager refused check-in, saying it’s “not suitable for elderly people.” This was never mentioned during booking, despite us having elderly family members and an infant. We were left stranded at night after a long journey. The host also misled us to another property claiming it was theirs, which turned out to be false and more expensive. Very unprofessional and irresponsible. I would not recommend this place."

"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Uga Ghiri. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were amazing, so friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. The food was excellent, with every meal being delicious and beautifully prepared. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and exceptionally clean, making our stay even more comfortable. The location was also excellent, surrounded by beautiful scenery and providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Overall, everything was beyond our expectations, and we truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. A big thank you to the entire Uga Ghiri team for making our experience so special and memorable. We would definitely love to come back! ❤️"

"We had a wonderful stay at Greenland Villa. It is perfectly located right next to the Kithal Ella train station, from which you can directly board the famous train that goes through the nine arch bridge. The property was beautiful, very well equipped with everything we needed including a great kitchen. It was clean, well ventilated, and more importantly it felt like home. The owner took time to decorate it with great taste. On top of that he was such a humble and polite person.Upon arrival he gave us a ride to get our groceries; another day he brought us his homegrown vegetables, which was such a nice gesture. Having said that, there were a couple of issues that needed to be addressed. The WiFi connection was not great, probably because of the location, but we struggled with it. And the breakfast was very carb-heavy, which may work for you but wasn't particularly to our liking. Nonetheless, We would book it again if I ever come back to Ella. We can only recommend Greenland villa highly."

However, due to the surrounding chaotic development, the roads are narrow and steep, so driving there is thrilling ㅜㅜ.. Since it is still under construction, only the first floor and some facilities are open, and ingredients are not yet fully prepared.. The staff try to be friendly, but charging that price in the current state is excessive."

"It's true that this guesthouse is a bit out of town (a small road). But what peace and quiet, and what authenticity! I really appreciated the warm welcome from this dedicated gentleman. And what a pleasure it was to wake up and discover this place nestled in the heart of the forest. My best breakfast of my entire stay in Sri Lanka, with a view of the mountains and lush vegetation. The room, with its original decor ;-) is very clean and offers all the essential amenities (great Wi-Fi, hairdryer, blankets—essential in this cool mountain spot...). But above all, it's authentic, and the gentleman is lovely and incredibly attentive. He truly deserves to work more. I will definitely return. It's a welcome change from hotels!"

On our last evening we did a cooking class which was excellent, learnt some great recipes and got to eat them all after.
