Cool old style building with nice rooms. Easy to move around as down the road from the high street and the cathedral.

The white woman at the front desk behaved very un professionally, not suitable for working at such hotel for which the rooms costs are far too expensive. We received several complaints about her over a single day.

Good location. During my stay, the lift was not working properly, so I have to carry my heavy luggage to upstairs.

Super clean! Convenient location. Although with no laundry service or microwaves for guests, the hotel provides 2 bottles of water and coffee every day. Still a good choice for students to stay for a summer gap if your student accommodation cannot help with that.

Conveniently located right opposite Exeter Central Station. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

On booking this room for our anniversary I was expecting a slightly bigger bathroom I also asked if it was convenient to have a quiet room with a bath, sadly we didn't and we were right next to a main door in the hallway so quiet wasn't what we had, breakfast was ok but definitely over priced. The decor in our room was very tired with paint peeling stains on the chair, chunks of wood missing on skirting boards definitely needs an update The staff though especially the lady who checked us in was really lovely and welcoming 🙏

My room was narrow and the building felt a bit dated with creaky floorboards. The rooms are not sound proof - I could hear the guests next door returning in the early morning…

I loved where the hotel is located, very central, we could visit everything on foot, as we wanted. The staff is friendly, but the cleaning of the room we stayed in was very bad, the carpet in the room was very dirty and dusty, the windows were so dirty that there were dead flies on the windowsill. Apart from the poor cleaning, (something very important to us), the environment is good.

Value for money trip, with good location.

Service staff is very responsive with our requests and doing her best to meet our needs. Highly recommended to stay at this hotel when visiting Exeter. It is located directly opposite Exeter Central Train Station.

The location is the best spot you can find in center of Exeter. The hotel is old but inside is still very beautiful. However, some of the staffs are not very friendly and there is no flipflop when though we have asked at front desk.

Lovely hotel. Right in the middle of town and 1 minute from Exeter Central station. Nice room and excellent shower. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Staff were lovely.

Check in was fast, the ladie at the desk was very pleasant. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious with a nice en suite bathroom also.
